Rutherford 300-Thread-Count Cotton Sheet Set

I got the black and white ones in California King, they really look cool. They are soft and medium-thick. I noticed the horrible off-gas smell when I opened the package. I washed them on extra long cycle straight away. When I put them on the bed I still noticed the smell really strong, enough to get a headache that night when I slept on them. Even my boyfriend could smell them and he can't smell anything. I washed the sheets three more times today, and there is still a hint of chemical odor. It just makes me wonder what the heck the dye is made of. DO NOT buy these if you're sensitive to odor or paranoid about off-gas, you'll be mad. Otherwise, just wash them with oxyclean more than two times. They are about 12 in deep and fit pretty well, only a little loose. The pillow cases fit king pillows very well. I do not like that the back side of the pattern is not colored, meaning the print was stamped on. Most likely the die, or some other manufacturing process is the odor culprit. It's too bad cause they really are pretty.

I actually ordered these in Chocolate elsewhere and was happy to find them at Amazon so I could buy additional colors. They are super soft sheets and seem to get softer with each washing. They did have a slight odor when I removed them from the package, but it went away completely with the first washing. I am extremely happy with the quality of these sheets, especially for the price!

I was disappointed when I first received these sheets, as they were described as Plum. The actual color is more of a brickish brown. The sheets are soft and comfortable, and the color has grown on me, but its no purple!

these sheets looked GREAT. i loved the pattern, the color and they felt great. they didn't feel like super high quality sheets or anything but they felt nice and comfy and good for the price. So for the first 2 weeks they were great, amazing and i loved them and was very happy with my purchase. then after being on our bed for about 2 weeks i noticed a giant hole in one of the pillow cases at the seem. we'd only had them on our bed for a couple of weeks, had never washed them and they already had a hole! i'm still using the sheets and i still really like the way they look and feel but i would not recommend anyone else to buy them since they started falling apart immediately and obviously are not worth the price.

I bought these sheets thinking they probably weren't the best because they were so inexpensive.....boy was I wrong, they feel terrific, wash up like a dream, fit well and keep the original color. Love these sheets!
