I had some trouble putting it together because it's hard to find the screw holes through the thick upholstery. I kept thinking it was all set and then the screw would pop out and the back would collapse. Once I finally got it done correctly, though, it has been fine.

I received this chair today and eagerly began to put it together. Instructions were simple, and I progressed quickly until I attempted to attach the right arm to the seat and back cushion. No matter how I tried, I could not get one of the arm holes to match up with the seat hole. It was just a fraction of an inch off, but that was enough to prevent tightening one of the screws. I hope the seat doesn't fall off because of it. Other than this, it is an attractive chair and very comfortable. I'm sure that "new" smell will dissipate soon.

Update: The bottom fell down. You must have ALL screws tightly in place for the chair to be functional.

My chair at work was disintegrating parts were falling off, the back wasn't properly attached, etc. I wanted something that would hold up for a while, and I work for a nonprofit, so the budget was small. There wasn't a weight rating listed in the Amazon description of this chair when I bought it, but when it arrived, I found that it's rated up to 250lbs. I'm around there, so this is good. Other Boss chairs have higher than average weight ratings, but most of those are more expensive than this one.

The chair wasn't too difficult to put together, though I did reach a point at which I thought I was going to have the problem that another reviewer had aligning the armrest screws with the body of the chair. It would have been easier if I had an assistant to hold the back and the seat while I screwed them together, but I was able to do it alone.

The chair is comfortable, though the cushioning in the weight-bearing portion of the seat is a bit thin. The portion of the seat that is beneath your legs when seated is actually softer than the cushioning further back. You can't really sit up straight in this chair. The upper portion of the back curves backward, so in order to get the benefit of the lumbar support, you have to lean back. You can lock the pivoting recline function in the upright position, but you still have to lean back or sit away from the back of the chair. Caveat: I like to sit up straighter than many do. In the car, my wife always sets the seat back at a greater angle than I do.

As indicated in the review title, the chair is wide. I'm pretty wide myself. But the armrests are a bit too wide for me. When I sit forward, which I often do, the armrests hit the outside of my elbows. It's not a major problem, but it's worth mentioning. The armrests are nicely cushioned, though, and are plenty comfortable if you rest your elbows directly on them.

I've had the chair about a month now, and I'm pretty happy. A large component of the value of a chair like this is durability, so I intend to update this review later to reflect any changes in experience.

I received this chair on time and was impressed with the looks of the cushions, I have assembled quite a few chairs and this one was by far the worst! No matter how hard I try I cannot get 2 of the screws to get tight even after removing and re threading. I guess it will never be tight. Chair seems comfortable and seat cushion is nice. Not sure what I am gonna do with not being able to tighten arms. Took me several hours fighting with the screws to get arm holes to line up on back cushion. Not recommended for a woman to assemble.
