American Baby Company Quilted Waterproof Cradle Mattress Pad

We have a cradle with an 18x36 inch mattress (2 inches thick). The last pads I bought for this size mattress had to be stretched over the mattress and would bend it because they were too tight. Not these...these mattress pads fit perfectly! They have a thick, quilted top that sits over the mattress and a thinner, stretchy part that you pull around the back. I've washed them several times and they remain in great shape with no rips. The only issue I've had is that the sheets I bought for an 18x36 inch mattress are a bit snug because the pads are somewhat thick.

Pros:

-Very soft and well cushioned without being "puffy" (so the SIDS risk is kept low)

-doesn't make a crinkly sound, despite having waterproof vinyl on the bottom

-waterproof!

-fits standard cradle mattress and is reasonably priced

Cons:

-despite what the washing instructions say, DO NOT PUT THIS IN THE DRYER (or do so at your own risk); you should let it air dry (buy two so that you don't need the one being washed back on the cradle right away). The first time I put this in the dryer (and temperature setting was not hot), it came out with 3-4 small tears in the waterproof vinyl. I taped them closed so that the mattress pad remains waterproof.

The title says it all...

I hadn't even USED the product yet and decided to wash it prior to use. And although I followed the care instructions on the package to a "t", after removing the item from my dryer (yes, setting was on low/delicates) the waterproof backing had completely melted and torn away from the fabric.

Don't waste your money, even if it is $10.00. I may have just received a "dud" but would recommend staying away just in case.

I bought a wooden cradle from a friend but it needed a new mattress. Bought 2" mattress foam at a craft store and cut it to fit the cradle (18" x 36"). Was thinking about how to cover the foam mattress to protect it and make it waterproof. Decided rather than hassling with sewing a cover around the foam, I'd just get 2 of these mattress pads and cover the foam on each side, overlapping the pads. It works great! Makes the foam mattress more comfy for baby, protects it and keeps it waterproof. If baby wets during the night, I take the pad off the side she wet on and just turn the mattress over. These pads are the perfect size for a 2" mattress and they are good quality. I love that the quilted side is 100% cotton. Great price too.

I was thoroughly disappointed to find that the "American Baby Company" cradle sheets and cradle mattress pads I bought were in fact made in China. When I opened the package I could smell the preservatives or something off-gassing. I am not sure that whatever chemical it is will be completely removed by washing, and there is no way I will risk the health of my grandbaby. I am returning these and ordering US-made, chemical-free pads and sheets. Lesson learned.

It's a nice set. My son really likes it. The only thing that I feel could have been a bit better is the color fastness. I've only washed it once and it has already lost some of its color vibrance. That is just a bit disappointing.

Although the picture shows four cushions, the item description is very clear in indicating you receive 1 30x30 so I hope nobody is misled by the pictures. I think the pictures are there for everyone to be able to compare each of the different materials it sells. I go the swirl because i like soft things, and when looking at the pictures it looked like the softest thing. I don't know how I ended up on this product after hours of Amazon browsing but I wanted to buy a good quality cushion that wasn't too expensive. I've bought and thrown out countless Ikea cushions and thought it was time to treat myself.

First off, the cover is absolutely wonderful. It feels sturdy and I'm not afraid of it ripping or what not. In addition to being sturdy, it is incredibly soft. I was afraid the fur would easily shed, but all keeps together very well. Secondly, the pillow is very plush much more plush than standard Ikea cushions. I've only had it for a week now so I"m not sure how much this plushness will hold up, but i don't see it being a problem in the near future. If anything, I can go purchase another pillow insert and continue to use the case. I think the case itself is worth $30 -it's THAT good.

I don't know what people expect out of these kinds of products but this was exactly what I expected. There is only one downside. My cat, charlie, has been all over this thing. He has designated it as his own bed/pillow/etc. I can barely use this thing because he has made it his own item. I think I am going to buy another one because I think i lost this war with my cat. I was worried his nails would mess up the cover, but the cover has held its own very well!

Serta Latex Contour Pillow

While a wildly comfortable pillow, the Serta 2-Layer has a few drawbacks of which you should be aware. Here's the low-down:

Pros:

-Conforms to the head nearly as well as a Tempurpedic. Extremely comfortable for side-sleepers! On this aspect, I was truly impressed!

-Has a zip-off, washable cover. (Tempurpedic pillows do not have zip-off covers).

-Carefully packaged. Sealed in plastic to prevent contamination and then housed in a thick cardboard box (recyclable) to prevent any sort of en-route trauma.

-Excellent price!

Potential cons:

-There is (initially) an unpleasant odor (as with Serta's other pillows in this line). As indicated in the booklet, this begins to dissipate after the first twenty-four hours. Those with sensitivities may need to unwrap this product and leave it exposed to air for a few days.

-The pillow is surprisingly small (in length, width, and height). My standard pillow-case is considerably too large for it ... as is the pillow-protector I purchased for it. I checked Amazon and the Serta website, but could not locate ones specifically made for this pillow.

Admittedly, I am confounded by the absence of adequate covers for this pillow, but if an ill-fitting cover is the price I pay for a (very) comfortable night's sleep ... that's fine. Overall, it's a good product at a great price. (By the way, if any customers locate a suitable protector/cover for this pillow, please feel free to comment here! It would be very much appreciated!)

These types of pillows seem to have gotten better in the past couple of years. The main problem I always saw with memory foam pillows was that they tended to mold to one's head too much and inevitably lost their supportive function which resulted in stiff neck and shoulders as well as headaches.

This is the second foam pillow I bought this year, the other being a Carpenter Therapedic Backsense Avena Sure Support Contour Pillow. Both pillows are strikingly similar in weight, feel and support they provide: Both are light-weight, both are easily squeezed and both give great support without the old memory foam feeling of "sinking in". Where they differ: The Serta apparently achieves this support through a Latex layer on top of the memory foam and I must say that it does a great job. From the first night on I felt like I was tossing and turning significantly less and that I got much better sleep. The pillow feels sufficiently soft yet provides all the support I need for my neck.

Having had cervical spine surgery 6 months ago, it is very important to me to use a pillow that helps put my head in a good position, preventing further problems down the road and assisting with the bone fusion still in progress. So far the Serta works perfectly. The question will be how well it holds up over time. I got the same good results from the Carpenter Avena Sure Support at first but then the pillow felt just a bit too soft after we had removed a memory foam mattress pad to get a firmer sleeping surface. I tended to wake up stiff and not well rested whether this was due to the firmer mattress or whether the pillow material had softened a bit, I am not sure.

For now I am happy with the Serta and hope that the Latex will preserve the supportive function permanently or at least over a longer period of time. I will post an update should something change over the coming months.

I'm always wary of buying a new pillow because my arthritic neck needs support or I really feel it in the morning. And of course, pillows aren't returnable. I didn't want just memory foam, which gets too soft after a while. This one is comfy and provides good support. Excellent for the price.

I have been using this pillow for almost a month now. It is really comfortable and provides great neck support. It is definitely smaller than a standard pillow, but that does not bother me at all. When you pull it out of the packaging, it does have a slight odor, but once I put the pillow case on, I didn't notice it.

The only downside is that Amazon shipped it in a box that was abut 20 times larger than the pillow, and that box is still living in my office...

I've tried these pillows before and they have always proven to be uncomfortable for me. I wasn't expecting much out of this Serta 2. I have slept with it for 2 nights now and much to my surprise it is very comfortable. I normally sleep with 2 pillows at night and since I've gotten the Serta 2 this is the only pillow I have used. I'm normally not a big fan of the memory foam, but would strongly recommend this pillow to anyone. It's not too soft, but at the same time not too stiff proven to be just right. Give it a try and I'm sure you will be happy you did.

This pillow does do what it should, support the belly and give some back support as well. I only have three problems with it.

1. the back support doesn't go above the shoulder blades and the inconsistency of having partial back support did not make my back happy.

2. if you are a tosser and turner, this is a difficult pillow to toss and turn with as you have to readjust it every time you roll over. It does not prevent tossing and turning.

3. the picture does not show it, but if you are trying to sleep with this pillow and blankets, the blankets will be resting on the top of the back support causing a peak in the blankets. This is kind of awkward when sharing a bed if you have the back support facing the middle of the bed cause it leaves a gap allowing cool air in.

The sheets have a nice feel to them once they have been washed two or three times. The fitted sheet snaps into place well. The problem with the flat sheet is that it is a little too narrow. Once it is perfectly centered on the bed, you will have barely enough material to tuck in the sides. Colors are washed in cold water so the shrinking from the wash should be minimal.

The thread count of 1400 doesn't feel any more comfortable to the skin than the 600 thread count sheets I've bought at Bed Bath and Beyond. As a result, I can't recommend these sheets.

Fiskars 9429 Kneeling Cushion Medium

To make a bit of money, I do yard work. Forget the undergraduate degree and decades of experience as a software engineer. Where I live, jobs that fit my qualifications are few and far between. And even if one gets hired, the salaries are so low and the benefits so scant that it's hardly worth the 60 mile commute to the nearest city.

I am not paid large amounts of money for this often back-breaking labor, so I had to seek a bargain. This cushion is a bargain. I work in yards that are legendary for rocky soil. I ended up with knees so bruised I could barely walk for four days. I found this cushion and was able to go back to work. It is inexpensive and terrific. Not only am I able to kneel without suffering damage, I am able to sit when I break to rehydrate without the unpleasant realization I am sitting on a rock or goat's head (a vicious thorn from an innocuous looking ground-hugging plant that has been known to puncture tires).

I will say that it is best to use this cushion on a level or supported place, such as a flagstone or large concrete block. It's not made to "drape" over uneven surfaces. It has a stiffness that suggests it may develop cracks if you attempt to use it over a combination of scree and river rock. It does as is stated: it cushions. And it does a great job of it.

Furthermore, it's useful in yoga poses where you might need to support your knees..as I needed to while my knees were bruised. I needed to maintain mobility and hobbling around like a 3-legged cat wasn't cutting it. If you've strained your hands doing whatever work you do, these will cushion your fingers and palms and ease tension on your wrists as you do 'downward dog'. And so on. I love this cushion. If I were the marrying kind, I would marry this cushion. It's that good.

I ordered these for our local fitness center. We use them as knee boards for some of the exercises we do. They're wonderful!

I have no complaints with this product. I purchased several as an "add-on" item here on Amazon for under $5. I use them as optional padding for participants in my home Yoga class. I teach outside in my backyard on my concrete patio. I supply extra thick Yoga mats, but have about a dozen of these for participants who may want a little extra cushion while doing certain postures such as hero or a low lunge. They work great and do not take up room for storage.

I had the idea to use these as Yoga props because I already an almost identicle Friskars cushion that I purchased at Home Depot several months earlier. I use it all of the time while gardening and doing yardwork and it has held up. I paid more than twice the price and it is almost exactly the same!!

I brought a few of the cushions to my college campus. I am a college professor. I run the EMS program and we are performing CPR skills and other patient assessment practices on the floor every week. The instructors and students are thankful that we use these cheery bright cushions. Previously we used the sticky Sta-Block head immobilization pads. They kept tearing up our new carpet. This is larger and works better.

I bought this as a sitting pad for camping, and destroyed it on the very first trip. When it gets cold out the foam becomes extremely brittle, and cracked/broke apart over the course of one evening.

It may be OK if you live in a warmer climate, but don't bring it anywhere it might freeze.

This pillow was a disappointment it is extremely soft and feels very thin. The memory foam was the must have element for me in my purchasing decision but i really can't detect its presence at all! I left it out of the package for 48 hours (rather than 24 as recommended) for it to recover from its 'flat pack' packaging but no joy, none of the attributes of memory foam. It feels as if your head is resting on the mattress when lying on your back, lying on your side i'm afraid forget it.

Lush Decor Delila 6-Piece Comforter Set, Plum/Gray

It looked beautiful when I took it out of the bag, absolutely loved it! When taking off the tags from one of the throw pillows it ripped a giant hole in the material, wasn't a huge problem as I have them sitting on a bench anyway. The comforter itself is very comfortable, I still use it despite its defects. Within the first week one of my dogs had an accident on it which required me to get it cleaned. After the cleaning the material inside never settled properly and it is rather lumpy. Also one of the corners tore very easily during the process and it has some frayed edges. Other than these imperfections the blanket is great! I really wish it was made with better quality as it looks absolutely stunning in my bedroom!!

I do not want to nit-pick, but the colors, cut, and materials are completely different from the picture depicted. The other reviews are correct in that the lighter color is a dark grey with even a slight hint of blue. The picture shows a purple velvet material used to cover the majority of the top; however, it is really a rough purple fake silk (polyester fiber) square that only covers a small portion. The pattern on the large pillow cases are off centered and made of the same rough polyester fiber.

I ordered the King size and am returning it immediately. Beware, the photograph is what the manufacture HOPED it would look like; not what you will get. Misleading!

First of all folks...low prices on bedding DOES NOT always mean a comfy bed! The important thing to look at is the thread count. If you buy sheets and comforters just because they are cute, then shop away! But if you want good looking and quality, then you need to start checking the thread count. Many people are not even aware of what it means. Thread count means the number of threads woven together in a square inch. The higher the count the better quality and more comfortable they are. Sheets here on amazon are often a high thread count...start looking at 600 and up. I recommend 1200..it is like sleeping on satin clouds and so light feeling it's like sleeping with no sheet on at all. And the price? Extremely reasonable! Almost down right cheap! So there you have it..all of my sheets are at least 1200 count and I will not buy anything less for my family. No I am not rich, matter of fact I'm I'm not even close, and that is why quality means even more.

I wanted to write a review about the wonderful sheets that I bought on Amazon.com. I had not use any of them until this last month and i can tell you they are so nice to sleep under than any sheet I've ever bought. These sheets feel so soft it's like sleeping on a cloud. They are rather thin and lightweight but for the price paid they are very nice.

Purchased these sheets at an unbelievable price and was so surprised when receiving them. They are so soft and have the feel of cotton. They also fit the Cal. King bed with extra fabric to make a more than perfect fit for the deepest mattress. The pillow cases were not tight as with some sets. Will look to purchase more of these in the near future. Better than any others I have ordered in the past. I don't think anyone would be dissapointed.
