We have a cradle with an 18x36 inch mattress (2 inches thick). The last pads I bought for this size mattress had to be stretched over the mattress and would bend it because they were too tight. Not these...these mattress pads fit perfectly! They have a thick, quilted top that sits over the mattress and a thinner, stretchy part that you pull around the back. I've washed them several times and they remain in great shape with no rips. The only issue I've had is that the sheets I bought for an 18x36 inch mattress are a bit snug because the pads are somewhat thick.

Pros:

-Very soft and well cushioned without being "puffy" (so the SIDS risk is kept low)

-doesn't make a crinkly sound, despite having waterproof vinyl on the bottom

-waterproof!

-fits standard cradle mattress and is reasonably priced

Cons:

-despite what the washing instructions say, DO NOT PUT THIS IN THE DRYER (or do so at your own risk); you should let it air dry (buy two so that you don't need the one being washed back on the cradle right away). The first time I put this in the dryer (and temperature setting was not hot), it came out with 3-4 small tears in the waterproof vinyl. I taped them closed so that the mattress pad remains waterproof.

I hadn't even USED the product yet and decided to wash it prior to use. And although I followed the care instructions on the package to a "t", after removing the item from my dryer (yes, setting was on low/delicates) the waterproof backing had completely melted and torn away from the fabric.

Don't waste your money, even if it is $10.00. I may have just received a "dud" but would recommend staying away just in case.

I bought a wooden cradle from a friend but it needed a new mattress. Bought 2" mattress foam at a craft store and cut it to fit the cradle (18" x 36"). Was thinking about how to cover the foam mattress to protect it and make it waterproof. Decided rather than hassling with sewing a cover around the foam, I'd just get 2 of these mattress pads and cover the foam on each side, overlapping the pads. It works great! Makes the foam mattress more comfy for baby, protects it and keeps it waterproof. If baby wets during the night, I take the pad off the side she wet on and just turn the mattress over. These pads are the perfect size for a 2" mattress and they are good quality. I love that the quilted side is 100% cotton. Great price too.

I was thoroughly disappointed to find that the "American Baby Company" cradle sheets and cradle mattress pads I bought were in fact made in China. When I opened the package I could smell the preservatives or something off-gassing. I am not sure that whatever chemical it is will be completely removed by washing, and there is no way I will risk the health of my grandbaby. I am returning these and ordering US-made, chemical-free pads and sheets. Lesson learned.

This is way too small and way too soft to sleep on. However, the beads does offer great support if you are a back sleeper and seldom move. One roll and you are off the pillow.

I have a nearly identical midweight comforter, but was looking for a summer weight one. It's very nice, the weight was right, etc., but I can't use it because it has a strong chemical smell. I noticed it out of the package when I got it, and just put a sheet under it and over the top part by my face. The label said to "Professionally launder", which I did nearly immediately, hoping to get rid of the smell.

Well, it smells worse than ever now. It's kind of like raw silk dipped in cholorphorm and mixed with acetone. I wish I hadn't used it and had it washed, because it's probably going to get thrown out now. I'm sad, because I would have loved it otherwise.

I was looking around for a new comforter, but after owning a few different down comforters and getting tired of the feathers and extra heat I was trying to find an alternative. After some research I heard silk comforters help to regulate body temperature and don't trap heat like down. Most of the silk comforters I looked up were extremely pricey, but this one was a great price. I was a little skeptical, but I figured I would pull the trigger and worse case scenario I use it for guests. It's pretty thin, but comfortable to sleep with. My girlfriend has a tendency to get night sweats, and the down made it very bad for her although she loved the feeling of it when she went to sleep. This comforter has kept her from getting night sweats and keeps us both cozy at night. For the price, I think it's amazing. I paid 3x as much for my last down comforter and it's now packed away. I will probably get a better one eventually, but this one is doing it's job nicely so far.

I bought a medium quality silk comforter in China several years ago and this one is about the same quality. I gave this one 5 stars due to its value based on quality vs. price, which is outstanding.

Another reviewer had problems with chemical smells, so the first thing I did as soon as I unzipped it was to smell it. Mine had a very faint odor of woodworking oil stain as if it had been on recently stained wood. The label says the silk is sanitized, so maybe there's a cleaning chemical involved. It's not even noticeable now that I've put it in the duvet cover.

Silk comforters are made differently from down ones. The silk is actually whole cocoons that are stretched across a duvet sized frame one on top another. So the insides are many thin layers of randomly pulled raw silk that lay flat and run the full length of the comforter. The thickness is minimal, and unlike down, is fairly even everywhere.

This duvet is lightweight (for silk) and appropriate for summer or well-heated bedrooms in winter. They do make heavier and costlier silk comforters for colder situations. I find that silk breathes really well and is very adaptive to temperature, so it's seldom ever is too warm or cool when sleeping. Compared to a summer weight down comforter, this silk one feels more substantial over me and the duvet holds its shape better. It's like having a blanket over me without getting roasted on warm nights. I use silk in the summer and switch back to a winter-weight down comforter when it gets cold.

The only think that you may not like about silk is the blanket-like weight and stiffness of it. If you love the feeling of an ultra light, floppy, airy down duvet in summer, this may not be your cup of tea. If you want a duvet that keeps its shape well and is highly adaptable to temperature, I'd recommend this one.

For $117.00 I expected this to be a little more, well, nicer. It feels like a run of the mill medium size comforter, but not fluffy at all (as shown by the picture). The outer fabric is not that soft. If it gets chilly I need a blanket along with this comforter to stay warm. A quality duvet will probably make this somewhat worthy. I'm just dissapointed, and i should have waited for more reviews to be posted. Oh well.

These pillows are a great size, have a nice amount of stuffing without lumps and work perfectly for extra seating when you have company over. Beware, however, if you order a lot of pillows but are short on storage space. I put a 13 gallon kitchen garbage bag over each pillow with dryer sheets in each bag to store in the attic. The only complaint I have about the pillows is that the color is much darker in reality and the fabric is stiff and rough. The thickness of the fabric will hold up to lots of floor use by the kids, I'm sure. Over all, a great product.

note that the leg elevator only has about 1 inch of memory foam on top. but because the primary component is foam, it is really hard, and kind of uncomfortable.

I must prop my reconstructed ankle up every night for 8 weeks. By being able to remove the middle wedge, I got the pillow to the perfect height. Carex Contour Back Cushion

I've been reviewing back support cushions for a while. And this one had a good review, and definitely it came as expected. It is very comfortable, not too bulk. I'm using it on an office chair, and still will try it in the car. Although it doesn't come with a strap, one can easily be placed with velcro, if you have someone who knows how to sew. Basically, a lot of the ones that come with straps, are made from a stretchable material that does hold the cushion anyways. When I sit down, I don't really need the strap to hold it, unless I'm moving a lot in the chair, which isn't frequent. For people who work in an office or on the computer, this is a good match.

Things to keep in mind: The pillow is not too wide, and since it has a curvature it may not be the right fit for everyone. I'm medium/slim build, female, and this is just perfect for me. However, anyone who is larger build will have an issue feeling comfy with the cushion. Your back is likely to go off the pillow if you are larger, so please review dimensions and take measurments at home. Many pillows without the side inward curvature may be a better match if you are large build.

The product's image looks like royal blue, but the pillow is dark blue as described in the text.

This is a must have for people who spend a lot of their day sitting down, to keep posture correct instead of slouching.

I recently bought Esther Gokhale's book "8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back: Natural Posture" to realize that although I wasn't slouching any more, this cushion was causing a sway in my back. I.e. too much curvature in the lower back which also causes problems. Although, I apparently feel comfortable with the cushion, my back pain has not gotten any better. I'm now trying Gokhale's techniques of a natural posture, learning what good posture is and what to correct as I sleep, sit and walk... and so far my back is getting better every day (and I'm only 1/3 of the book and putting the exercises gradually into practice for over a month). I was skeptical about the book, but didn't have anything to lose, and so far what she teaches makes perfect sense; I was just not conscious of my bad posture... like most people aren't. I recommend reading this book, and then decide what cushion is best for you. Gokhale sells her own cushion on her site. I bought one this week, only because I noticed that her posture correction is helping so greatly, so might as well try the cushion.

It is disappointing that we read this cushion is good, and then someone else says it is bad. Who is right? I guess we have to try both to find out, and I'm coming to the conclusion that correcting posture is the essential step. One spends so much with medical bills, and a book may be a cheaper solution all along.

This cushion feels just like it should. However, I've never purchased one before and I didn't understand I would need a style with a strap to hold it in place on the back of my office chair. While I'm working, it slips off the side or sinks down between the back of the seat and the chair back.

I'll keep it to use while watching tv or reading, and I'm sure it will be great for that purpose. I'll buy one with a strap for my office chair.

I just bought my third one of these. I have one at home, one in our vacation condo, and now one for the car. It's a real life-saver for me; with chronic back problems (spondylolisthesis) I was very limited and in frequent back pain until I got these. I used this for my commute in the car and it's perfect! I raise it slightly so it hits above my hips. The contour shape hugs my back providing ultimate support and comfort. One slight fall back is when I wear a heavy winter coat the cushion is a little too snug but does not cause and discomfort. I just received it and did blow it up for a bit, but have not yet used it on a trip. it looks fine for my proposed use...on a plane flight...so I am happy with it. I also tried to put in inside a velour cover and it does fit, but I don't think I can blow it up all the way because of the location of the valve. 200 thread count sheets aren't exactly what I had hoped for. I have a 26 year old son with Down syndrome who is a really big fan of HSM. I ordered 2 sets of these sheets for him. They are a bit rough and the quality isn't as good as I had hoped. The ad didn't give the thread count, but it did say they were soft and comfortable which isn't completely true. My son loves them because they are HSM and we are keeping them but I do think thread count should be listed in the ad. I have no doubt these sheets will 'pill'.

I have had my old memory foam pillow about three years and wanted to try another variety. This one was so different than all the others I had tried and I couldn't resist. The first couple of nights were a slight adjustment, but only because I was so used to the old style. By the third night, I was in love. This pillow is made to fit the contours of your neck and head perfectly no matter your sleeping position. I used to change positions several times a night. Now, I wake in the mornings and realize I never moved! One side has the "cut out" while the other is straight and not contoured at all. It fits perfectly in a standard pillow case.

The green tea fragrance is barely noticeable, however I believe it keeps it from having that nasty "foamy smell" some others are known for. This pillow keeps its shape and supports perfectly. I was in an auto accident last year and have suffered from neck/shoulder pain since. This pillow has put an end to that!

I am throwing out my memory foam pillow that i bought to help my sleeping posture. I was hoping to alleviate chronic neck pain but it has been months and it never helped. In fact I think it has been making my neck problems worse rather than better. This pillow is MUUUCH better. So glad I came across it while browsing at my local Boscov's. It has a nice light, sweet minty smell kind of like mint chocolate chip ice-cream-i quite like it, it's better than a chemical odor most foams have. I hope with continued use I feel more improvement, this pain has been with me well over a year now and it is really taking a toll on me.

But honestly if it wears out in a year or even a few months i'll simply buy another. After what i've spent over the last year on numerous Dr. office visits, diagnostic tests, prescriptions and physical therapy i will spring for another $30 pillow if i need to.

I ordered this foam to cover my cheap mattress (I'm in Afghanistan). The pad is definitely memory foam, not the cheap foam or egg carton cheap sponge stuff. I bought this pad for the notoriously hard mattress in my daughter's dorm room and it made her bed so comfortable, that now she says her bed at school is more comfortable than her bed at home. So if you buy this for your student but you want them to come home regularly, you might want to buy one for their bed at home too. The only complaint I would have is that the sleeve they provide to keep the pad in place is very inconvenient and does not work that well. We ended up forcing it under her sheet and then it still tried to slide off the bed. So then we bought rubber shelf liners and put them under the pad to prevent sliding

I looked for a memoryfoam mattress topper for my daughter's dorm room. This one advertised it as an XL twin 80 x 36. The first one I purchased came in at 27 x 76. I called Amazon and they promptly took care of a return. I then re-ordered a new one and this one came in at 38 x 80. My daughter took it to college let me know it was about 2-3 inches too wide. For her not a problem she just cut it. Leave it to dorm room ingenuity. The density of the topper is excellent esp. for a dorm room where it'll only be use for 4 years. Although it's a 2 inch, my son says it feels more like 3. His only "complaint" was that his XL twin fitted sheet pops off the corners of his bed because of the extra added thickness. We solved that buy getting mattress clips for the corners. Wish I would've gotten this his first semester.

I guess I didn't read the dimensions properly because I expected regularly sized decorative pillows. These are mini-pillows and I have not figured out a good use for them.
