I frequently travel, and find that the pillowcases in hotels really irritate my skin--I think it is because the commercial laundries use a lot of bleach. I used this silk pillowcase during a two week trip to the UK, and am very pleased. The silk is soft without being too slippery, and is comfortable to sleep on. The material is quite light, so you can easily wash the pillow case in the sink, and it will dry quickly. The small attached pocket did not interfere at all when using the case, and is perfect for folding the case into when you pack. Without the attached pocket, I think the silkiness of the case would make it difficult to neatly pack. The dusty blue color stands out from the typical white hotel sheets, lessening the chance that I will forget the case at a hotel. I am very happy with this purchase, and would recommend this to anyone who frequently travels.
