It has elminated the back ache from sitting too long, but it looses it shape after only a couple of uses. I am forever readjusting the cushion. I don't see it lasting for the long haul.

I bought this set on a complete whim. I had been looking around for months for just the right duvet cover for my fancy new comforter, got frustrated, and decided to just get something cheap. I picked this one because I liked the pattern and the extra throw pillows. When the box arrived, I opened the package, felt how *soft* the fabric is, noticed the pattern was embroidered (not printed), and immediately emptied everything out onto the living room floor and spread out on it. I don't remember when I bought this (March, maybe?) but it's been washed three times since, and the only damage I've noticed is a few loose threads in the embroidery.

The negatives:

-The fabric doesn't breathe, so it gets hot pretty quickly.

-It's soft enough that the whole thing wants to slide off the foot of my bed every night.

-The set is 7 pieces, and everything was squished into a bag suitable for the average comforter. The stuffing in each pillow was packed tightly, and even after Extreme Fluffing they're still pretty lumpy.

-Because it is embroidered, extra care needs to be taking when washing. Oddly, it likes to turn itself into a knotted ball during the dryer cycle, and I have to stop it every 10 minutes or so to pull it loose.

The positives:

-The price! 7 pieces and it's on sale for $60. Seriously? Even with the negatives (which are all minor, and amuse me more than anything), there is no reason not to get this set.

-The white is VERY white (so clean!), and the black (embroidered!) pattern grabs your attention instantly. I've gotten nothing but compliments on it.

-The closure is very simple, and I had no trouble getting my comforter situated.

-Soooo sooooft. 100% polyester is insanely smooth. Love it.

-Delivery was fast. Very fast. It was at the door a full week before I was expecting it. The package was a little damaged, but I'm going to blame that on the cranky package handlers in my area.

I'm going to get another duvet set (because I'm fickle that way), but I'm going to be keeping this for as long as the fabric will hold out. And if the experience so far is any indication, that'll be a while. :D

This is a very pretty set light and summery. The pillows that came with it are appealing, and the duvet cover worked well on my queen size comforter. It looks so nice on my bed, and it's very soft and most importantly (I have a kitty!), it's washable!!!! A great product for the price!

When I bought this bedding about a year ago, I was looking for something to go with my black and white themed room. I loved it online and couldn't wait for it to come in the mail. When it did, I was kind of disappointed. Instead of being white like it is in the picture, it's more of a cream color. Wasn't a big deal, but the comforter also stains really, really easily. The material of the top part is just not great for cleaning. It's very hard to wash because it's very thick, although that's a plus because it's super warm. All in all, it's probably better to go to another choice.

I just got this on the weekend and I am very happy with my decision, the cover is a bit big like someone else already mentioned, but It's not that big a problem for me, I did have a bit of trouble locating the opening (this is my first time buying a duvet cover, I always buy the complete comforter) but when I got the comforter in I loved the result. I'd definitely recommend this, it's not expensive and it's very pretty, I have a red and beige room and it definitely matches.

I haven't washed it yet, but so far I'm glad I made the purchase.

I have a nearly identical midweight comforter, but was looking for a summer weight one. It's very nice, the weight was right, etc., but I can't use it because it has a strong chemical smell. I noticed it out of the package when I got it, and just put a sheet under it and over the top part by my face. The label said to "Professionally launder", which I did nearly immediately, hoping to get rid of the smell.

Well, it smells worse than ever now. It's kind of like raw silk dipped in cholorphorm and mixed with acetone. I wish I hadn't used it and had it washed, because it's probably going to get thrown out now. I'm sad, because I would have loved it otherwise.

I was looking around for a new comforter, but after owning a few different down comforters and getting tired of the feathers and extra heat I was trying to find an alternative. After some research I heard silk comforters help to regulate body temperature and don't trap heat like down. Most of the silk comforters I looked up were extremely pricey, but this one was a great price. I was a little skeptical, but I figured I would pull the trigger and worse case scenario I use it for guests. It's pretty thin, but comfortable to sleep with. My girlfriend has a tendency to get night sweats, and the down made it very bad for her although she loved the feeling of it when she went to sleep. This comforter has kept her from getting night sweats and keeps us both cozy at night. For the price, I think it's amazing. I paid 3x as much for my last down comforter and it's now packed away. I will probably get a better one eventually, but this one is doing it's job nicely so far.

I bought a medium quality silk comforter in China several years ago and this one is about the same quality. I gave this one 5 stars due to its value based on quality vs. price, which is outstanding.

Another reviewer had problems with chemical smells, so the first thing I did as soon as I unzipped it was to smell it. Mine had a very faint odor of woodworking oil stain as if it had been on recently stained wood. The label says the silk is sanitized, so maybe there's a cleaning chemical involved. It's not even noticeable now that I've put it in the duvet cover.

Silk comforters are made differently from down ones. The silk is actually whole cocoons that are stretched across a duvet sized frame one on top another. So the insides are many thin layers of randomly pulled raw silk that lay flat and run the full length of the comforter. The thickness is minimal, and unlike down, is fairly even everywhere.

This duvet is lightweight (for silk) and appropriate for summer or well-heated bedrooms in winter. They do make heavier and costlier silk comforters for colder situations. I find that silk breathes really well and is very adaptive to temperature, so it's seldom ever is too warm or cool when sleeping. Compared to a summer weight down comforter, this silk one feels more substantial over me and the duvet holds its shape better. It's like having a blanket over me without getting roasted on warm nights. I use silk in the summer and switch back to a winter-weight down comforter when it gets cold.

The only think that you may not like about silk is the blanket-like weight and stiffness of it. If you love the feeling of an ultra light, floppy, airy down duvet in summer, this may not be your cup of tea. If you want a duvet that keeps its shape well and is highly adaptable to temperature, I'd recommend this one.

For $117.00 I expected this to be a little more, well, nicer. It feels like a run of the mill medium size comforter, but not fluffy at all (as shown by the picture). The outer fabric is not that soft. If it gets chilly I need a blanket along with this comforter to stay warm. A quality duvet will probably make this somewhat worthy. I just got these and as soon as my wife sees these, they are going back. This is a very flimsy bolster insert of quite cheap quality. Not worth 19 dollars each. It seems like airline pillow quality and of the same materials. The meaning of the term 'Bolster' is totally lost on the manufacturer. This would not support anything. If I lean on it, it squishes flat..I mean flat with not 1 inch off the bed. Also, doesnt even look right in the round sham with strange non circular shape. I guess, I can fill up air in the round packaging these came in and those would provide better support. I would stay totally away from these if you are looking for any support from a pillow.

Great quality pillow, seems very sturdy. My only complaint is that if you hug it in the same spot every night, the filling starts to clump and separate, leaving you with a gap where you usually hug it.

I bought 2 of these to use as a backrest on my "couch" (it's really just my bed that I convert into a seating spot when I'm not sleeping), they were the only ones in the size I was looking for so I just went with it. To be honest they are way too soft. I would have preferred bolsters with buckwheat filling but they sell here in America for outrageous prices (on a side note, everything related to bedding is way overpriced here). So I decided to increase the density by stuffing them really tightly into the cases.

Now they work as a backrest, but measure only around 25" in length.

Bottom line is you get what you pay for. They are the cheapest ones around, although I still think 19 bucks for a bolster is a joke.

After reading so many complaints about the whole thing being a scam and claiming that they are made from synthetically created fibers derived from petro-chemicals and are cancer causing, I didn't want them. Don't know if they are really cancer causing, but like to know that I am buying what I think I am buying!

I was really excited to get these sheets, and had been looking for a while for sheets to fit my mattress and mattress topper well. I was excited to find these quality sheets at a good price, but they were not the quality I had hoped for. The elastic around the fitted sheet was made cheaply, and the seams are backwards on some of the sheets (can't figure out which side is supposed to be facing up). I'm keeping them, and hoping they last a little. They are pretty soft, but I was disappointed in the quality.

A couple years ago I purchased a set of 1200 Thread Count Egyptian bed sheets at a home show for about this same price and have been very pleased with them. These sheets however are far from the quality of those. These may have 1200 threads but if so they're the finest threads ever woven. Picture bed sheets made of extremely thin, see-through, cheese cloth. Those would actually be thicker than these. Add to that the sloppy stitching and the sliding elastic on the bottom sheet (which incidentally looks like a parachute)and the result is pretty ugly. I expect these will work quite well for straining paint. I recommend you spend a few bucks more buy some real sheets.

I ordered this based on the reviews; unfortunately this is one of the times they really steered me wrong. After just (1) 8-1/2 hour day this thing was flat as a pancake. Even after returning the next day the foam had not returned to shape it was still flat and provides no cushion at all. I guess its true you get what you pay for this seat cushion is cheap in price and performs as well as should be expected for the price. I'll have to pay more and hopefully the next one will last more than 1 day.

My desk chair is an antique made of hard wood. I purchased a foam pad at "Bloodbath and Beyond" a couple of months ago, it had ties to hold it to the back of the chair within a week one of the ties had torn loose. My boyfriend (really) sewed it back on, but it was torn again in a few days. Okay, I decided ties are not the answer and looked for one with a nonskid backing. That search led me to this one, and it's PERFECT!! Better than the other one in terms of firmness of the foam (it definitely feels comfortable but not too squishy) and it stays in place on the chair without ties. The other one actually wormed around a lot. Why tie a cushion to the chair? The ties are ugly, and the cushion still moves? Duh! This one is a huge improvement! Nice looking, doesn't move, and feels GREAT on my bum while sitting for hours at the computer. VERY happy with this purchase. Oh, one comment about the color I ordered "gold", because I really wanted beige and the photo looked very beigy and I was right it's not "gold" at all it's a neutral beige. Perfect for me but worth mentioning in case someone had an actual "gold" motif going and had expectations...

UPDATE: Okay, I've been told that is IS "goldish" in color, so I don't want to discourage sales of this color for those of you who may indeed call this color "gold". Can we just say it's "beige-ish gold"? :)

This producr was exactly what the description said it would be. This pad is made from a nice foam. Some sites have described the Brentwood pads as "memory foam" but Amazon's description is honest. The cover is soft and so far any dirt has been easily brushed off. The dots on the back do hold the cushion in place, but don't expect them to keep this thing still if you have a squirmy child using it. Of course the real test will be whether the foam holds up over time ...

Pads are about 2 inches thick. That is about an inch thinner than other pads we have owned. We think they look better that way. Less like a pillow and more like a pad. The color is actually a little darker than shown. Which for us works great. We have owned them about a month now. No problems. Pad s do not not slide. Comfortable. Good looking. Well made.

This air bed is colossal compared to my Mainstays queen (which has been great for 2+ years by the way). It's as tall as 3 of them stacked.

Coaster Entryway Bench with Storage Baskets and Cushions, Black

I just bought this bench for my entry hall, planning to use the baskets for my kids' shoes. I built it today, so have absolutely nothing to say about longevity, but I already have gripes.

Pros: It's gorgeous, and carefully packaged. The parts fit together pretty well.

Cons: Cheap hardware, self-abusive design, and low-rent execution.

Before I start, I gotta say the packaging was offensive. They foam-molded the whole box, so it doesn't recycle. And you have to know to open the top left corner, or you get Styrofoam dust all over the place. Would an "open here" stamp really cost too much?

As to the bench itself:

1) The stud & cam assembly of this thing is pretty poor. The studs have to get screwed in, assembled, disassembled, adjusted, reassembled, then the cams applied. If you don't make that second adjustment, then the studs often sit too low, and I sheared 2 of the cams trying to tighten those. IMHO, no piece of furniture hardware should shear upon my one-handed turn of a screwdriver. CHEAP hardware.

2) The aforementioned cheap hardware shipped with exactly the right number of pieces. Every other piece of furniture I've bought disassembled has shipped with at least 1 or 2 extra sets of hardware. Thankfully, Ace Hardware now carries these cams.

3) There are very few supports under the base, it sits on four feet. So when I sit my fat butt on it, it bows down in the middle.

4) The pillows ("cushions") shipped with this item have removable covers (which is good), but the zippers on these pillows are on the bottoms, so the metal has plenty of opportunity to scratch the paint. This happened under the first butt to touch my new bench.

5) The wicker baskets shipped with this bench also have metal fittings at the bottom, again maximizing chance for paint removal from the floor of the bench.

6) I'm sure this only happened with mine, and you'll be fine... But one of the boards (the internal riser) had been cracked and repaired with wood glue. Yes, they actually shipped me a broken part.

This bench actually comes from Coaster (part #501064) which is a B2B reseller of Chinese goods. I haven't tried the alternative yet, but I'm guessing that I would have been happier paying double for the Pottery Barn version.

This is great piece in a small bedroom. Placed at the foot of the bed it serves the occasional seating need and provides extra storage.

This piece is prefab and goes together with Cam-lock screws. The piece itself is very nice heavy duty quality. The baskets and cushions weren't my favorite by themselves but when put with the bench look really nice. It came to me in a timely manner with no missing or broken pieces.

Was difficult to put together several of the metal screw-type attachments broke during regular assembly. Also the baskets quickly scratched the wood with pulling them out during use (I bought some furniture moving pads to help fix this).

Update:

Almost two years now and they are exactly the same as far as shape and overall density.

First it felt really weird, like sleeping on a balloon, but seemed sorta comfortable in a weird way. After a few months, it has now become a bit of a pain and I wish I had my old pillow back. It's not flexible, you can't "fold it over and make it your own" or anything.....I don't feel it's worth what I paid for it and will try memory foam next time.

*UPDATED REVIEW* I bought this for my son's room after doing a lot of research comparing quality and price of both matching and similar pillows. It arrived as described and at first appeared to be nice quality. I originally gave it 5 stars and said it was a great item. Unfortunately, after being tossed about only a few times the large white NY applique (which is an iron on type material) on the front has started to wear off/scratch. It doesn't look good anymore. It has barely been handled, but is already looking very worn. I would no longer recommend this pillow. :(
