Pillowtex Latex Foam Mattress Topper

I bought this to replace a Serta Supreme 3" memory foam "egg crate" mattress topper. It simply disintegrated in less than 2 years of normal use. Although my wife really liked it, I refuse to ever buy memory foam again.

This topper is made of latex, which is supposed to be more durable and lacking the strong, lasting petroleum smell of memory foam. When I opened the box, this definitely had an odour, though not as pronounced as the memory foam, and it disappeared after a week. It fit our king size mattress perfectly, which was another nice change from the old egg crate which didn't quite stretch across the mattress. As for comfort, I put this worlds ahead of memory foam, which was very squishy and felt like laying on a soft sponge. The Pillowtex gives a nice cushion effect, but you don't feel like you're sinking into it.

The primary downside is the price, though you can save a bit because you probably don't need a 2" or thicker topper. Both my wife and I find this to provide all the padding we want, and I suspect if we had gotten a thicker version, it would have been a bit too much. It's very comfortable, and doesn't stay compressed as you move around at night. Also, the included zip-on cover is a really nice touch.

Since I haven't had this for very long, I can't talk about the durability. But if you want a bit of cushion for the top of your mattress, without the drawbacks of memory foam, this is well worth considering.

You can smell a very strong odor, like petroleum or fuel and it does NOT go away. We have had it for almost a month and the odor is as strong as ever. We are not going to use it. The smell didn't even go out of the cloth cover with laundering and even Febreeze, which I thought could eliminate any odor, do you can tell the odor is unfortunately a 'part' of the product. I would advise anyone NOT TO BUY THIS. I wish the first reviewer had been more accurate, because I'm out $179.00 now.

I purchased this from Joss & Main but thought woud review it on amazon.com as well. This is a fabulous value and includes everything you need to set-up the picture perfect bed. The only thing I added was a coverlet so that we could pull down the duvet and keep it nicer longer. I would highly recommend it, the colors are great, the coordinating pillows pull it together nicely and it makes the bold statement I was looking for while tying all the colors I love together. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Nice color blue but the white lines are not stitched on both sides, the NY emblem is plastic & sticky & the comforter is made of polyester. Not comfortable to lay on for an 8 year old!

My husband has to sleep on his back and the tops of his toes were getting irritated by the weight of the bedcovers. This pillow is perfect for supporting them high enough to take the pressure off his feet; the only complaint is that it tends to slide off the end of the bed. (We have a queen-sized bed but he's over 6' tall.) If they could figure out a way to anchor it in place it would be perfect!

Sleep Innovations Gel Memory Foam Micro Cushion Bed Pillow

I live in Phoenix, which is known for being, oh, a bit warm during the summer. We had 118 degrees back in June. It was only the fourth hottest day on record. I'm someone who requires a relatively cool environment for sleeping. As a result, it's vital to me to have a sleeping surface that doesn't retain heat when I'm sleeping. I already had a Sleep Innovations 10-inch Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress Queen Size, and that does the trick for that, but I was using a pair of Ikea pillows which were reasonably comfortable, but retained quite a bit of heat.

Happily this pillow, by the same people who made my mattress, does not. It's cool and it's comfortable! I fluffed it up once and didn't have to mess with it at any point during the night and, unlike with my other pillows, I didn't wake up with a big damp spot on the pillowcase from sweating (I shave my head, so the sweat has nothing to hold it back!). That alone was a nice thing.

Really I'd say this is a great little pillow! It's inexpensive and it more than gets the job done! Highly recommended!

I've never had the luxury of sleeping on a memory foam pillow, as we've always just owned the "cheap" pillows from Target or JcPenney. I sleep on my side or stomach and have the problem of always getting a sore neck from not enough support during the night or needing to prop my head up with two or three pillows in order to get the correct amount of support, while still being comfortable.

After just a few nights of sleep on this particular pillow I'm totally sold. I haven't woken up with a crick in my neck a single time and I haven't needed additional pillows to support my head. There is the perfect amount of filling to conform properly to your head and neck, without being overfull and the quality of the pillow can be felt from the lining on through.

I'm also five months pregnant and have used this as a back supporter, as well, while sitting in bed reading. I realize that's not what it's "meant for," but it did a great job. No need to ever "fluff" it, as it always retains it's shape and it's really comfortable.

I plan to replace all of our pillows with these. I was very impressed with the pillow itself and my sleeping results.

I have owned several memory foam pillows, including some that were much more expensive than this one. I LOVE the Sleep Innovations pillow!

This pillow is firm. Some memory foam is too soft to provide good support and your head just sinks into it. "Fluff" and position this pillow and it will cradle your head and neck, providing comfort and support. I have also used the pillow as a back support when reading on the sofa, and it helps keep me comfortable.

This is a quality pillow. The case removes easily for washing, and the zipper is well made.

One of the things that makes this pillow different from other memory foam pillows is that instead of a block of foam, the pillow is made of small beads of memory foam and gel memory foam. The beads make the pillow better able to conform to the shape of your head and neck, and they also make the pillow cooler.

I sleep better with the Sleep Innovations pillow and wake up without a stiff neck. I am very happy with this pillow.

As a side/stomach sleeper, I purchased this pillow to help with some neck pain I was experiencing.

I found it to be an incredibly comfortable pillow, however had a few gripes. I found that by the morning the pillow would be quite misshapen and my head sink fairly far down into the pillow, rather than being cradled.

I've now had it about 2 months and the pillow doesn't retain its shape at all. It's floppy, and needs to be left alone for hours to get it back into a sleepable shape. I'm now shopping for a replacment.

I saw this pillow while looking up merchandise of Sekirei and was very happy to see it. It's a little pricey but the overall quality of the pillow is great. Would definitely recommend for anyone a fan of the show. Arrived with no damage, no tears and is just great. Sealed in a nice plastic bag. I love the color & comfort, however it's a bit short. If I sit on it, it "spreads out" and fits fine. ~But when you get up, it is short again. (If that makes sense). With side pillows on the wicker loveseat, it's not bad so I am keeping it. Great price!
