Sealy Natural Cotton Crib Mattress Pad

I searched high and low for a mattress pad that did not contain any plastics or waterproof treatment. I do NOT want my babies to breathe chemicals all night while they sleep. And frankly, since every crib mattress is covered in plastic, what is the point of a waterproof pad anyway? We have gone to great lengths here to keep all of these chemicals away from our babies including a special cover for the mattress (to keep off-gasses away) and a wonderful, thick wool topper, which is what I wanted to cover. We just slip some wool puddle-pads in between the topper and the mattress pad to keep the topper from getting wet and everything is fine. I highly recommend this product over ANY waterproof pad out there.

I searched far and wide for a crib mattress pad that doesn't have a vinyl backing. I have a waterproof naturpedic mattress so i don't necesarily need a waterproof pad. This one is really soft and thick so I think it would do a good job of absorbing any spills anyways. Have not used this yet since the little one hasn't yet arrived but I did wash it, it held up but i do notice a small tear in one of the seams on the side. That's why i gave it 4 starts instead of 5. But it's still worth it to me to not have the vinyl and plastic backing even if I have to replace it eventually. It did not shrink in the dryer and fits the mattress pretty well..I will probably order another soon

Put 2 of these on our registry before our first child was born. I was thrilled to receive them, and washed them both as soon as I got them. They shrunk. Badly.

This particular pad was of very poor quality for the price. It was extremely hard to stretch over the mattress (harder than crib sheets), and once I did get it on, it started to fall apart at the corners from the stress.

We realized after his birth that babies don't actually need a mattress pad, and just a fitted sheet works perfectly. About half the stuff on our registry fell under the title of "things you don't really need for a baby", and this was one of them.

I also went hunting for a crib pad that wasn't backed by crinkly plastic or vinyl, etc., because as other people note, most mattresses are "waterproof" as is. Crib mattresses are also very firm and flat. This cotton pad adds a nice layer of softness without being too pillowy. It fit well. Ingeo, the fill (made from corn), is a bioplastic or biodegradable plastic, as Wikipedia states. If you are hell-bent there be no plastic or bioplastics in your pad, this may not be for you. But I will drive myself batty if I try to get rid of every plastic-related product in the house!

I ordered this pillow due to pressure point pain in my neck from my other very old, hard pillows. I figured that the price was right and it was worth trying something different--plus, I was tired of having a sore neck! This little pillow has been wonderful so far. There's no angle that isn't comfortable on it. It's just right too--not super soft but not really hard either...the "Goldilocks" pillow. Perfection! I'd definitely recommend it. For the price and the comfort, you can't go wrong. In fact, I just ordered two more for the rest of the family (since they keep stealing mine!).

Bought this pillow to help sleep better. While it's a bit better than my regular bed pillows, the heft (height of the pillow) is just shy of where I need it to be. If I sleep on it by itself it's a little low but if I put anything under it, it's too high to be comfortable. Needs another inch to be perfect!

It is comfortable and not outrageously priced so I'm keeping it but can't help but wish there was more to this pillow.

Got this from Drleonards.com first but found it again on Amazon when the husband wanted one too. We both like how they are like regular pillow but deliver neck comfort like the special foam contoured pillows, which I don't care for how they don't fill out the pillow case and they really aren't as comfy as a pillow. Try leaning on one of those to read, etc... This one is best of both concepts.

Fairly dense, fairly thin I sleep on my side mostly, often on my arm, and don't like a pillow that is too lofty or pushes my head up too high when I do this. About three or four years ago we bought a new mattress and the salesman got us into buying those pillows, no regrets whatsoever! I highly recommend them, I came looking to see if I found them cheaper or other products make by them but, not because mine were in bad shape, they are still in great shape and we still sleep like babies. We love this bag. It is exactly what we needed/wanted to have in the reading corner of our son's room for bottom and lower back support while we sit and read. It's lightweight and our 3 year old can carry it around himself. It's about the size of a larger workout ball. Perfect fit for a grownup and little one to share to cuddle and read. Roxbury Sofa

The color is nice. The faux suede fabric is on the thin side. The mattress is firm... offering a decent night's sleep for guests. The storage compartment is not that deep but adequate. You'll need a strong helped to move the box. More bulky than heavy. If you have to get it up stairs, be aware that the unpacked bed/seat unit hinges... a little difficult to maneuver.

The real problem I have is how the thing goes together.

The side metal straps have to be connected first before putting on the side arms. There are three large hook brackets on the arms that have to hook onto there mates on the end of the couch. The trouble is the thickness of the foam and fabric on the couch makes it nearly impossible to get all three brackets on a given side hooked in all the way and seated to the bottom. (if there is play or shaking then you haven't gotten ALL THREE hooks locked in). There is NO help or suggestions in the instructions. In fact, there were NONE. The best way I figured out was to stand the couch on end and get on a step ladder (with someone helping to hold the couch) holding the arm unit... then having your helper flex/tilt the couch until the thick cushion is pulled away from the side of the couch... them hold up the arm unit, line up the brackets and push to clip all three brackets together. I used a rubber mallet to bang the bottom of the arm feet to lock in the brackets before laying the couch down again. I repeated for the other arm. A very annoying, tense, sweaty hour and a half before trying this method with success.

Oh... the cushion/pillows are small and not filled with enough stuffing. I'm planning on getting better throw pillows and getting a bed pillow to keep underneath for guests. The couch has to be pulled out from the wall about a foot and a half before using the click-clack mechanism (which works great) to turn it into a bed. Also, after sitting on the couch, the fabric looks loose when you get up. You have to smooth it flat again so the thing looks neat. This unit would never last with heavy use but for a sewing/craft-guest room it seems ok. Looks good... low quality.

I really wanted this to work as my 3 month old son can only calm down and sleep when he's on his side. I have a long history of health problems with include allergies and reactions to chemical orders. It is important to me that sheets are 100 percent cotton and have the tight weave typical of a high thread count.

The product I received had the look, smell and feel of a poly blend. When held to window light the fitted sheet did not have the look of a tight weave comparable to my older 1100 tc single ply sheets which block any objects on the other side from being recognizable.
