I have been looking for a WATERPROOF mattress pad for some time. I wanted something that worked, but didn't want to pay a fortune for it. I've had several pads that either weren't really waterproof, fell apart after only one wash, etc. Anyway, decided to try this one out. I bought it from LinenSpa, but fulfilled by Amazon so that I could get the free shipping (LinenSpa Mattress Protector Deep Pocket 100% Waterproof & Dust Mite Protection, QUEEN). First off, for those of you wondering who manufacturers the pad ... it's Undercovers by MALOUF (malouffinelinens). Second, don't think you are getting a GREAT deal (a deal, but not a GREAT deal) ... this is no where near a $100+ mattress pad. Third, I'm not sure how much of a dust or mite barrier the pad really is since it only covers the top part of the mattress. The pad does appear that it will protect the mattress against a toddler's nighttime accidents (which is why I bought it) and stand up to hot water washings (although, I don't know for sure). The pad went on easy, fits securely, and feels nice (terry towel on top and kind of a rubbery texture on bottom ... not bulky at all). I still put a waterproof pad Basic Comfort Handy's Mattress Pad by Summer Infant over the sheet to make changes quick and easy (especially at night). So far, I am happy with my purchase. I will update this review after I've had the pad for a little while.UPDATE April 2011: Well, I've had the pad for 1.5 years and am still happy with it. The pad fit big (prior to being washed) and then shrunk a little and fit PERFECT after washing. It has held up great to mutiple hot water washings and low heat drying in the dryer. The pad does take any longer to dry than a set of sheets. (I wash and dry the pad with the sheets with no problem.) I still cannot speak to the absorbancy of this mattress pad cover because I have the Basic Comfort Pad on top of the sheet and it catches EVERYTHING.

The Linen Spa Mattress protector is exactly as described in the add. The material may appear a little thin but for the price and the 15 year warranty I think it's worth it. Also, I was afraid i would be able to feel it or hear it and I can't even tell it's there! It's a great deal. I have bad allergies which is why I purchased it. It's been a few weeks and I can't notice a great difference but I also change my sheets frequently. May not be as effective as promised for allergies.This product is NOT 100% waterproof. We bought these because we were trying to nightime potty train our daughters. There have been several accidentsthrough out this process. Although this protector has helped, the urine has went through the protector on a few occasions wetting the mattress.This product is comfortable and does not make noise when sleeping on it. In fact once it is under the sheets you will not even know it is there. It may be good for dust mites (I don't know) and is good for light fluid control but if there is a chance of a large fluid spill this is not the product you will need.

it's waterproof, which was not really an issue, but i don't think it really works as dust mite protection because it doesn't really surround the mattress. dust mites probably just move around it. it's not uncomfortable on the bed. has a terry soft surface over the plastic, so you don't feel like you're sleeping on plasticSave 79% Off
