This purchase was one of the best I have made ever. An that is the absolute truth I'm not paid to write this. I was looking for something that would make the hard bed at a family member's house more comfortable while we were there on vacation. My husband & I have an assortment of physical issues between us and a week on a hard bed would have been too painful. I read so many of the reviews on various bed pads that I was thinking it would be hopeless untill I found this one. I also wanted something more organic & less toxic since this family has minor latex alergies which is nothing to fool around with but this pad gave them no problem at all! When it arrives I warned them that it could stink & need airing out before we make it there. First it arrived early & I received emails informing me of the process. Then I was told the smell was minimal & dissipated quickly very different from every other review I had read. When we got there I couldn't believe how comfortable it was! I kept thinking what a brilliant purchase this was!

This is the 2nd topper I have purchased and I'm glad I chose the denser foam this time. It really makes a difference. HOWEVER, this topper does have an odor that permeates the room and your pillows for a few weeks -and can be nauseating. It is starting to abate now (it's been about 3 weeks), and I enjoy the overall benefit of a more comfortable night sleep, but I'm not sure others would be as patient as I have been for the odor to dissipate.

Just received this product yesterday. After reading all the great reviews, I decided to pull the trigger on this mattress topper versus others I was researching. Add to the fact that this has exceptional density to thickness ratio compared to other similar products on the market at a lower price point, this was a no-brainer. Further, the shipping was reasonably fast and not to mention FREE. I read from a number of customers that this mattress topper has a noticeable chemical scent to it. So as soon as I received it, I unpacked it from the box and aired it out and sprayed a little Febreze on it, which helped to some degree. I thought it smelled much better but my GF could still smell it. Honestly, it's not that bad and will dissipate over time. This is the only reason why I gave this product 4 stars and not 5. The manufacturer can do a post-manufacturing treatment of sorts to alleviate the smell... I just don't see why not?

Anyway, but let's be honest, it's all about how it feels to sleep on? Right? Well let me tell you... I have a 10+ year old pillow top mattress that was in desperate need of revitalization. The other option was to go spend a lot of money and buy a new mattress. Since money is a little tight at the moment, the best option was to get a good quality topper. First off, I am one happy customer, this topper really works! My GF and I agree that we had a better night of sleep, especially sleeping on our backs with the added support. I read one customer in the reviews here that mentioned it was too soft. I guess that it might feel that way if your mattress is very firm to begin with. Well my mattress, being a 10+ old pillow top, is the opposite and very soft. This topper, in my opinion, added a little more firmness while giving that unique "memory foam" support feeling. Overall, I'm happy with this topper and recommend it. I'm really inexperienced in memory foam technology so I just hope it stays in good shape for a substantial amount of years.

The bed was less than thee years old, one of those "S" named brands with a pillowtop and an elegant celebrity endorsement. Shoulda picked the one with the linebacker endorsement. The pillowtop was unconfortable just three years on, and we flipped it over even though they said not to. Sleeping on the side without a pillowtop was like sleeping on a very firm mattress. It was to this side that we added the king size three inch thick, 4-lb memory foam topper.

I researched memory foam toppers and had concerns that they would be ineffective, or too warm. From my engineering/geek background, the 4-pound desity spoke to me, rather than the lighter stuff (some wouldn't state their foam densities), and I ordered it. It arrived the middle of next week packed densely into a ridiculously small box that made me think of black holes, but I managed to get it into the house and clumsily unpacked it, opening it to its fullest size to air out. This is important. We thought one day would be enough to disperse the chemical processing smells, but we didn't put it on the bed until after it had laid out for two full days.

We put it on the bed, put the mattress cover over the top of it all, and made up the bed with fresh linens and our usual covers and pillows. Cats did not know what to make of the quicksand bed at first, and we climbed right in, scooching over to our favorite spots. We noticed no pressure spots, no limbs falling asleep, and as a matter of fact, we noticed nothing at all for the rest of the night as we quickly laid claim to some of the most restful sleep of our lives. I'm not kidding. Three months on, so far, so good, such great rest. Cats like the bed when its made up, avoid the exposed mattress before it sucks them into an alternate universe of cat naps, I guess.

We don't find it to be warm or cold, and I wonder if those who did used a mattress topper. But we have been ridiculously happy with our topper. Some of the best money we every spent.

Everyone that has any problems sleeping or wakes up soar in the morning NEEDS TO BUY THIS PRODUCT. I am a carpenter of 20 years that has abused his back to a point where I have not slept peacefully in years.I am 46 yrs. old and now I wake up feeling 26. I have never written a review about anything before but if this helps one person as much as the topper helped me than it was worth it. I bought a mattress last year for $600.00. I thought that would fix the problems I had. If I new all I needed was this topper I could have saved a ton of money. After reading many reviews on many products I was still a bit skeptical on memory foam. They talked of a bad smell, how hot you become,as well as sizing.So here is my experience from day one.

I removed it from the box and plastic that it was wrapped in. The smell was minimal unless you pressed your face into it. I layed it out over my workout equiptment for 2 days and the smell was gone. I put the topper on my mattress and the size was a perfect fit.(I have a queen).This product does not come with a cover(wish it did)so I took my mattress pad off and put it over the topper-mattress combo. Luckily I had a pad that was big enough for the combo.The topper stays put.It doesn't slip around at all.OK..I am a side sleeper,a side sleeper that ends up on his back by morning. I would try and put pillows behind me so I would stay on my side but I would still end up on my back.I would wake up stiff and could barely move.THE FIRST NIGHT...woke up in the morning on my back but this time NO PAIN. Everyday I wake up with NO PAIN. IT IS TRULY A LIFE CHANGER. As for the being hot, people speak of....I don't feel hot at all. Sooo...If you are like me and dreaded bedtime,this product will change your life too.
