Laurel Burch Throw

I have read a couple of reviews that mention the odd odor that comes with this comfy throw, and I have to say they're right. There IS an odd chemical smell that you can detect as soon as you open the package. But a quick run through in the washer (on COLD) takes care of it. A side benefit to the washing is that the fabric becomes much softer as well. That being said, I don't regret buying it. It's delightful and fun to have on the back of your rocker or sofa. It's cozy warm too. The colors are rich and beautiful. What more could you want? I love it!

This throw was darker colored than it appeared on the Internet. It also was very stiff and had an off odor, probably from the dyes used. The stiffness and odor may have been corrected by laundering it a few times, but the colors just weren't vibrant enough for my liking, and the background color was too dark, so I returned it. Amazon was very cooperative and returning it was easy.

I'm a cat lover and I like Laurel Burch's art so I ordered this throw for my office. The listing says it's a cotton/poly blend but the bag it came in states 100% acrylic which is a fabric I dislike. It's a very open weave so the threads catch on every little thing and I could see it would only be a matter of time before it would look all pulled with little strings hanging out. And it did have a weird smell to it. If they made this in a soft cotton fabric with a tighter weave I think the artwork would look nice but in it's current form the fabric of the blanket makes it look cheap and tacky. Very disappointing. I'm sending mine back to Amazon today.

There is an odor and stiffness in the material of these throws. Laurel Burch designs are wonderful,but the quality of the materials used to create this throw are terrible; very poor quality!
