The color on color pattern is very nice. The second photo on the preview is not so close to the actual color. The fabric is definitely blue, but much more pale than the photo. I have washed them after receiving, in the washing machine on gentle in sweater bags. I used Forever New solution and they came out great, still soft with a nice sheen. There is plenty of room for a large, stiff king pillow, with several inches of available room at each end left over. That works for me with envelope openings as I don't want to rip the cases when loading in the heavy, stiff down pillow that I use for knee support. The fabric is typical silk and not too thin. I have purchased other silk pillow cases from Amazon recently (see my reviews). Overall, really like these cases. Seem well constructed.Save 48% Off
