The blanket is very soft and looks just like the picture. The first couple times you wash it you will want to wash it completely and totally by itself. After running it through the dryer it covered the dryer filter with about 1/4" of blue fluff. There is a tremendous amount of piling and obviously, the blanket doesn't hold up to washing very well. After only a single washing (in cold water, low heat drying... and no actual use) it looks like it's aged 2 years.

I don't recommend buying this blanket unless you want everything it touches to be covered in blue fluff until you wash it, at which point you get to look like a hobo.

Order, processing and shipping were quick and easy. Product though, leaves a bit to be desired. After laundering and softening before use, it shrunk so much there's little or nothing to tuck under mattress and mine's NOT deep! Price was great and quality OK.

I purchased two blankets in this order. This one (the Elite Home Collection 100 Percent Cotton Chevron Woven Blanket) and another one (the Elite Home Grand Hotel Collection Blanket) were washed in the same laundry load upon arrival. The non-Grand Hotel blanket, that is, this blanket fell apart in the wash. Not only did it excessively pill, but it fell apart consistently on one side. I did not check whether it was the warp or the weft side, but it was not tightly woven and what remained of the blanket was not worth transferring to the dryer. If you are given a choice between ordering the Elite Home Collection 100 Percent Cotton Chevron Woven Blanket and the Elite Home Grand Hotel Collection Blanket, choose the Grand Hotel Collection Blanket. It lasts longer. For what it is worth, both blankets were washed in a high efficiency top-loading washing machine. I don't know that this blanket would have fared much better in a front-loading washing machine.

Just love the 3 cotton blankets I ordered They are large enough to cover the bed well. There was excess lint on the first wash but not that bad. I have very sensitive skin and they are very comfortable. They have a woven texture that makes them look elegant.

I purchased this as a light weight cotton blanket for summers in FL. I have a 23" deep queen mattress, but got the King based on other reviews. It hangs at just the perfect length. It is soft and has not balled in any washings (2 so far). I do use the gentle cycle and just low heat or air dry it. I have not witnessed any shrinkage. I would purchase this product again!
