This comforter is soft and heavy, but not down heavy. It does not slide off the bed, and fits exactly as the picture shows. The color is darker than the picture, the skirt is gold as shown but the comforter is much more spice, not gold. I think the darker color has nicer contrast with the gold skirt, and I have cherry wood and it looks great with it. The fabrics are beautiful, I had previously ordered another comforter which was not at all as shown, the fit was too small and the quality was ok I thought until I unpacked this. This box was twice as heavy and even my husband said wow to the fabric. Worth the extra money!
