(@ 17 weeks pregnant, size 6/8)
The sophie is not what I expected in terms of its functionality. When I lay on it with my chest and bump in the "hole" it puts a tremendous amount of pressure on my colar bone and shoulder area. It is almost as though there should be more material to evenly distribute the weight.
I also have concerns because I do not have much of a belly and once I got into the Sophie pillow I sunk down pretty far. Still I am hopeful this will allow me to sleep on my stomach.
NEGATIVES: This thing cost around $80 with shipping and it seems they don't accept returns other than on damaged materials. For what I have seen it do so far I would not have paid $80 for it....maybe $20.
I searched for a review of this item (one other than from the creator/manufacturer) and could not find a single thing. I will keep updating this review as my belly grows so other moms can know what to expect.
UPDATE: Post pregnancy
This pillow was NOT worth the purchase at all....definitely a regret!
I ended up sleeping without any pillow (other than the one I use for my head) in a semi prone position. It may be better to buy a pregnancy pillow from a store where you can try it out and return it if it doesnt work for you.I've used it twice. It was great for one client and uncomfortable for the 2nd. Velcro to hold some of the pieces in place would have been great. I don't know. I'm not 100% sold as of yet.

I bought this pillow through Bed Bath & Beyond so I can thankfully return it.It doesn't come with instructions or any kind of literature. Once you figure out how to lay on it, it's not comfortable. The material is foam, and probably costs the company a few dollars to make.
Shipping took one month, Bed Bath ships directly from the manufacturer so it was the manufacturer's delay. I was 6 months along and desperate for some relief.
