Now for the details. . . We were looking for a supportive, durable mattress with a pillow top that wouldn't break down so quickly (we found out the hard way that the pillow top is the first thing to go). Everything we were reading about latex convinced us that was what we wanted, since it is soft yet supportive, very durable, and doesn't sleep hot like memory foam. Unfortunately, you just can't find an innerspring mattress with a built-in latex pillow top, or even one with more than an inch of latex in the pillow top (and those cost $$$). Besides, why not just buy the pillow top separately so we could switch it out if it starts to break down in a few years instead of buying a whole new mattress?
We found this Invigo Fresh 3" mattress topper on Amazon and thought it sounded perfect. It's actually just a 1.5" layer of latex and a 1.5" layer of foam, but a call to Invigo Fresh confirmed that the latex layer was the top layer so it would feel like latex while having some extra cushioning from the foam underneath. Sounded like it would give us what we wanted at a reasonable price (and I got a good vibe from the person I talked to, who turned out to be the company president working late).
Then we went about re-creating our ideal bed, the Westin Heavenly Bed, but with this removable "pillow top" instead of an attached one. So instead of buying a Simmons Beautyrest Classic plush-firm with pillow top (which is what the Heavenly Bed is), we bought the plush-firm with no pillow top and put this topper on it. Not only did we get a higher quality version of our favorite bed, but we got the mattress, box spring and "pillow top" for just $1,035 all-in. It feels just like we'd hoped: very supportive, but with enough cushion to be comfortable in any position--back, stomach or side. And if it starts feeling less comfortable in 5 years, we'll just buy a new topper or mattress instead of paying $1000+ for a whole new pillow top mattress set.We bought a new mattress that is quite firm but purposely got the model that had no pillow top. The same spring count model with the pillow top was $200 more. We then bought this matress topper so we'd be able to replace just it when it wore out rather than the whole mattrass. It's half memory foam and half latex. Fits well on the mattrass, works well, no smell and is very comfortable.

I have been sleeping on this mattress topper for about 2 weeks now and already have a noticable difference in my back pain. My wife was getting to the point where she couldn't sleep through the night on our firm mattress and was sleeping on our cushy couch. We were both waking up with back pain. This topper solved our problems. We can now sleep together again and without back pain in the morning. AAAHHHHH! Our mattress was less than 1 year old and we felt it was ridiculous to buy another one so soon. Plus the soft mattresses we have tried in the past gave out too quickly (a lot of sagging in the middle). We thought the firm mattress would hold up better. It has, but with painful side effects. Our firm mattress, plus this topper is the combination we have been looking for. Our mattress is holding up great, and the topper gives us the comfort we need.Highly recommended!!!!

This latex topper is very comfortable and converted a wearing-out innerspring to a like-new latex foam mattress at a price much less than buying a new foam latex mattress. It is far more comfortable than memory foam toppers.Want Invigo Fresh Natural Latex 3-Inch Mattress Topper, White Discount?
I needed to replace my generic foam topper after 2 years (sagged badly) and after much research and thought decided on this Invigo. I have slept on it for one month now and can offer the following observations:The box was delivered by UPS and while heavy, was manageable for me to carry and I have bad arthritis. Unpacked was easy but getting the plastic wrapping off the topper was a bit of a challenge as you must be careful not to cut the topper while NEEDING to cut the plastic to remove it. I did all this on top of my existing mattress and it was easy to position the topper after unwrapping.
My initial thoughts were that this topper was not as thick as I would have liked but otherwise was made well and looked good. After unfolding it had a large crease in the middle which after one month still has not fully gone away and I have flipped and turned it each week for a month.
I am highly sensitive to off-gassing and I am happy to report the fume factor for the topper is extremely minimal. I barely noticed it and slept on it the same night I took it out of the box. Really, that was a huge plus. Some may still want to air it out a bit in another room before using, but after my last topper (which was initially like sleeping in the gas chamber) this is a welcome change!
As far as comfort goes, I have a 20 year old worn mattress and I have relied on various toppers to give me the illusion of a new bed. This Invigo topper fits the bill very nicely. Even though it seems a bit thin compared to my last foam topper, the comfort level mimics that of a brand new Sealey Posturepedic Firm mattress which is exactly what I would purchase if I had any sense! It provides good support while not being overly 'squishy' and I can truthfully say I have had much better sleep as a result. I am a side sleeper and 25 pounds overweight. (too much time in the old Lazy Boy)
My only complaint really would be that the Invigo is not quite as substantial as I had hoped for (maybe another 1/2 inch of foam inside would be optimal I think) , but it does the job well and because of that I can recommend it without hesitation. Your mileage may vary but I am satisfied with this purchase and will purchase another when this one finally wears out.
