Taymor Buffet Utensil And Napkin Holder

I had been looking for something to hold our utensils on the table. This piece looks great and does the job. The only problem I have is that the way it is designed, the utensils slide right out. The openings are so large that the knives, forks, and spoons fall out. My daughter solved the problem by taking some pretty napkins and putting it the holders to form a kind of "cup" to hold them. It actually looks pretty.

I usually purchase after very complete product scrutiny. I failed on this one and this is the lowest score I have ever submitted to Amazon. WHY? Because I wanted a utensil holder for a weekly club breakfast potluck. We use all heavy duty plastic flatware, sized about the same as the metal flatware in your own kitchen, so I am guessing you would have the same problem I did with this basket: The utensils kept falling out at the base. There is not enough enclosure to contain the flatware and the holder became more of a nuisance than it was worth. I took it out of service after finding a plexiglass utensil holder of similar size that has fully enclosed sides. It works; this one does not. Not worth any more discussion.

I read the reviews and decided not to buy this holder...until I read the "fixed" review. I love my old holder (broken after 8 years) and cannot find it anywhere. So in reading the review about how the item was "fixed" and silverware will not slide out now... is an incorrect statement. Silverware slides everywhere...it's a mess! $10.00+ down the drain.

This is a good looking item, but somewhat impratical. It comfortably holds service for about 10 to 15 I needed it for more than that. It has open sides, so the utensils have the tendency to slip through. The fork tines get stuck on the mesh bottom.

I would not recommend this product. All the flatware keeps coming out and it really defeats the purpose of buying this holder!. While you want it to look more organized, this holder makes it ugly with all the spoons and forks protuding from the sides. I didnt get a chance to return it and used it once by placing small cups at the bottom(inside the holder) to hold all the cutlery in place.

I would not recommend this product and would rather spend a few dollars more and buy a sturdy one
