Got these for my son's first apartment. He LOVES them! First set of really good sheets he has ever had.
The labeling: I came across this item as I was shopping at Amazon (my retailer of choice) for Egyptian cotton bed sheets. I've got ... what I paid for as set of cheap microfiber bed sheets made by an anonymous Chinese manufacturer for $20! I have made a little Internet search today and found out that J S Sanders/ClaraClark is one of the multiple brands registered by Brooklyn's Borough Park-based wholesaler with 11-50 employees. They don't make ANY products they are just a distributor of cheap Chinese-made textiles.
Serves me right! When I can afford it I will try to shop for real Egyptian cotton. Will I find real cotton sheets at multiples of the price I've paid now? Possible, but not guaranteed. Next time, however, I will research the manufacturer more exhaustively BEFORE placing an order the market is flooded with cheap Chinese staff and there are plenty of unscrupulous American wholesalers who are trying to make a quick buck by pushing that Chinese staff to retailers, including Amazon (which so far has been my retailer of choice). I don't blame Amazon, though they just distribute what the market is flooded with and they do their part of the job well.
