The feel is just not what it should be for 1500TC. I did my homework too. 100% Egyptian cotton, single ply. It's just isn't that soft. The other downside was the "Extra Deep Pocket" claim. It is not extra deep. I measured my bed. It's 76x80x18. The sheet barely fits and you can see the mattress. Maybe they sent me the wrong item! Also, 2 of the pillow cases are like sandpaper. I will not buy sheets online again.
