After two decades in the wholesale photographic industry I decided to move on and soon ended up in the mattress business (I know, makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?). In the last 10 years I have worked for both a manufacturer and two of the largest retailers of high-end bedding products.

Many people come into a mattress store looking for foam "toppers" thinking that it will improve the quality of their sleep. One thing to keep in mind is that if your mattress has lost it's SUPPORT a topper won't do you much good. However, if your mattress is too hard (or "firm") a high quality topper could do the trick.

The first thing that caught my attention after receiving this topper was how much it weighed. Even my Fed-Ex person made a comment about it being heavy. All foam products are like cakes or bread; they may have the same ingredients but it's the recipe that determines whether it turns out light or dense. I liked the feel of this 3 lb. visco-elastic material, since the REALLY dense foams (5 and 6 lb.) feel too hard to me.

The instructions are well written and worth following. Once the mattress topper was assembled I measured it for height. The industry accepted method is to measure it from the bottom of the pad to the highest point of the "loft", this is accomplished by placing a yardstick across the top and measuring to there. I came up with a little over 3 1/2 inches and it might be still expanding (it can take up to 72 hours for the foam to reach it's potential height).

I am happy with my current mattress so I plan on using this for my guest bed. Like many people, I have a guest bed that can be too hard for people that are very sensitive to pressure (as we get older this becomes more of a problem). This mattress topper makes it MUCH more comfortable.

I have to admit that I have seen higher quality mattress toppers, but at MUCH higher prices (like three times the cost of this one!). I used to work for one of the nation's top manufacturer and retailer of premium beds and they probably would have charged at least double for a topper just like this one, maybe more. Based on it's quality, it's value and it's feel, I give it 5 stars. I hope that my short video review is helpful to you.

By the way, my neighbor's toy Yorkshire Terrier (Bella) kept trying to get involved in this video so I finally gave in and included her. She LOVES this topper!

When I was easily able to pick up the lightweight box I knew this was going to be trouble. In short, the pictures give a misleading appearance of thick foam on top of a two-inch memory foam topper. The reality is the polyester "fiber fill" is not even close to the two-inches of claimed thickness (my comforter has more fill) and the fiber will flatten to nothing in less than a week. What you are left with is simply a two-inch topper at a four-inch price.

The foam itself is okay but not fantastic. At three-pound density it's soft and lightweight and the new foam smell went away in a week. On the other hand I sink through it easily at 190lbs. I want support from a topper so I tend to look for thicker, higher density toppers; usually four-inch thick, 5lb density foam. High quality 5lb foams will be supportive without being rock hard. This topper is best if you are lightweight or the pillowtop on your mattress has flattened and you just want that sinking-in feeling again.

To Sleep Innovations' credit, the "mattress pad" is nice quality and it zips up around the memory foam to help protect it. If this were being advertised as a two-inch lightweight 3lb memory foam topper with mattress pad then I would say it's a good product. However this was originally sold as a four-inch memory foam topper and has since been changed to a "four-inch memory foam and fiber mattress" topper. This is still inaccurate and it left many purchasers feeling shortchanged as you can see in the other reviews. One star.

This is a good quality mattress topper for the price. It consists of a foam layer and a quilted cover which fits around the foam with a zipper. The foam arrives tightly wrapped in a plastic sheet. You cut this sheet away carefully so as not to cut the foam. When the foam unwraps you'll see it also has a thinn fabric cover. You tear that off and discard it. You then leave the foam for 72 hours. During that time the odor dissipates (it took about 24 hours with mine) and the foam expands to its full 2" thickness. You then fit the quilted cover around it. Nothing too difficult.

The stated thickness of 4" is misleading because the quilt does not fluff up to 2". You may get around 3" in total. But it is wonderfully comfortable. I shall use it on a sofa bed, where it will supplement a very thin mattress, when I have guests. It is somewhat bulky to store, but less so than the duvet, so I think I shall manage. You could even put it on the floor for youngsters to use, during tribal reunions.

I got this Sleep Innovations Foam Topper to actually go on top of my Sleep Innovations queen foam mattress. We have owned our Sleep Innovations mattress for 7 years now, and we recently started to notice that our mattress was starting to sink, we would rotate our mattress every now and then and now we were getting to the point that we might need a new mattress. When I saw this, I jumped at the chance to try it.

It is the same foam material as the mattress, and expands just like the mattress did, except it did not expand to 4 inches, it was about 2 1/2 inches which is not the 4 inches that it says it is. It was also a perfect fit to our mattress. Now, it is as if our mattress is brand new. It took about 7 years for our mattress to start wearing so not sure how long it will take for this to start wearing in spots but I will update my review if I have any issues. I also bought when I purchased the mattress, two of the Sleep Innovations foam/down feather pillows... they are huge and amazing and are still after 7 years the same as the day I bought them.

The bed is unlike any other bed and some people may not like and same goes for the mattress pad, this is unlike any other mattress pad, most pads do not last long and are thin, but this is a great pad that actually adds support.

I am in love! This mattress topper is a life safer as I was contemplating buying a new mattress to get a better nights sleep! I am 8 and a half months pregnant and have been struggling to get comfortable at night. My mattress is only 5 years old, but just wasn't doing the trick. This topper forms to the shape of your body supporting you where you need it most!

Things I love about this particular topper:

*Its not hot! A lot of mattress toppers make the bed really hot and uncomfortable. This one has a nice combo of foam and fiber that keeps it from being too hot.

*The memory foam shapes to your body and supports really well, while the fiber adds a plushness to the topper.

*There is a fitted casing to the topper that holds it in place on the mattress. This is great as other toppers tend to shift and move over time.

*It doesn't stink like chemicals. Many other toppers I have used have had a really strong chemical smell for days after opening them. This one has no detectable smell whatsoever!

In response to others comments that it isn't as thick as advertisedAfter unpacking the topper and allowing it to "rise" I got out my ruler and it does in fact meet the 4 inches it touts. To ship the topper it is vacuum packed and needs time to expand after opening.

The box the topper comes in is VERY heavy. My husband had a hard time wrangling it in the house and into the bedroom.

This is a substantial topper at an excellent price point. I highly recommend!

I have had this topper for over 2 years now and I still sigh when I lay down each night. The topper hasn't worn down at all and is noticeably soft. I can feel the memory foam forming to my shape right away. It is so comfortable! Very impressed with this product.

I bought 2. They have good back support, but not head rests. Each chair came with its own set of instructions, and each had different instructions with different parts and tools. Once put together, the 2 chairs matched well.

The chairs are a little shorter in height than I hoped, and the pillow rests are more for decoration. The chairs are not bulky and look neat. The swivel and recline features work well.

The price was too high. I found them cheaper elsewhere but once the order was placed at Amazon, it could not be cancelled.

The chair is good, but the instructions for putting it together are inadequate. There are two drawings of the chair and two of the stool that you have to work with. there is not one written word of instruction. I ordered two chairs and the second went together much faster, except for two things I had two right arms for one of the chairs and had put the arms on the other chair backwards. The later caused the opening between the chairs to be small. The arms were labeled R and L, but does R refer to the right side as you are sitting in the chair or facing the chair?

The chairs were received at the end of January. The company has ordered me a replacement arm from the factory in China that will get here sometime in March.

Khaki Velvet Quilt

The comforter is of high quality and the perfect weight for all seasons. The color is a rich neutral color. I had been looking for a well made cotton comforter (other than white) that could be machine washed. Since I have pets which also love a comfy bed, I needed something that could be cleaned more regularly than I am willing to pay for dry cleaning. A friend saw the comforter and also fell in love with it and will be ordering one. The price was extraordinary (as i assume this a discontinued item). I have not been able to find anything of this quality as well as to my liking in comforters that cost significantly more.

The quilt is very soft and the color is great. My only criticism is that it was a little short on a high cast iron bedprobably partly my fault since I did not measure it. The bed is queen sized but I wish I had ordered a king quilt. Decided to use it on a full sized bed instead and it's a perfect fit.

These pillow cases are absolutely beautiful. The silk is thick and very, very soft. The outside edges all are nicely finished with a tiny "cord" of the same fabric; a nice touch. All seams are reinforced for durability. I know I should hand wash them, but I didn't. I washed them on the delicate setting, with cold water, using "Forever New," my favorite delicate wash solution. I hung them to dry. They came out beautifully. I did take note from Texere on another review that I should remember to use a sweater bag when washing. I knew better, but didn't the first time. I will from now on out though as I want these cases to last a long time.

After washing, they were still so soft. My husband and I love them! We would do anything for improving the little sleep we get. I have had a pillow similar to this one for a long time, and I am happy with it. When my husband needed a pillow that would be shallower than his regular one, and with the famous curve for his neck, I went to the local stores but did not find one that would resemble my pillow. When I called to return the product, they replied that I cannot return it because the package was opened. There was no other way to determine if it would work than to open it up, considering the packaging made it impossible to know if it would work. I am very disappointed and will ensure that I pay more money for a product that is not made with the least amount of material and still called a Leg Spacer.

The title for these sheets is all wrong. They are not made of bamboo. They do not soften with more washings; they wrinkle and the flat sheet is just a tad too short. I don't like these sheets at all. There are better sheets at lower costs on Amazon.

These are by far the best sheets I have ever owned! My husband was leery and wanted to go the Egyptian Cotton route, but I convinced him to try these first. He's now a huge fan as well! I use this for lying on my couch, it is soft and comfortable and there is enough pillow there, it is not too small, it seems fine to lie on my back and have my neck supported, I made a cover for it by gathering the ends of a tube of material I had sewn together (think plastic bag storage bags).

I have had hip surgeries and back problems for years. I have had a number of xrays and even an MRI. Often there is no under-the-knees support provided at the health facilities for these procedures and it is pure torture to lie on their hard tables with nothing under the back of the knees so I take my own. I have even had people in the waiting room ask me where I got it. And, of course, it is my faithful sleeping buddy. I recommend this to anyone with hip and back issues.

I have had this pillow for six months. Today I located the pillow at Amazon (I got it at Walgreens) with the intention of buying several for holiday gifts. I was sorry for the low reviews since I rely on this pillow for many uses. Soon after I bought it I told family members, "This is what everyone is getting for Christmas. Try to forget you saw it."

I use it almost every day, for reading on the couch or in bed. I love how it can bend in half to fit your neck, and the support it provides. Like the other reviewers said, it is very firm. However, since it can be twisted and folded you can make it rather form-fitting, and then you don't notice the firmness. I like soft pillows, but when you are lying or reclining with your neck extended, soft pillows don't provide enough support. The neck is meant to balance the head, not to support it at angles for prolonged periods of time. Soft pillows make the neck work harder than it should. You can tell after reading in bed for a few hours, if your neck is tired or stiff, you didn't have good support.

Here are some suggestions to get the most value out of this pillow:

If you are using it while reclining, don't just double it over. There are 12 segments to this pillow, like a clock. Instead of folding it at 9 and 3 o'clock, fold it at 8 and 4. The bigger side cradles your head. The smaller side supports the base of your skull and your neck.

Fold it in half (9-3) only when you need neck support while sitting up, as in the picture. Even then you may decide to fold it skewed in some way to best fit your own shape.

Support your hips and back while sleeping by using between your knees as in the picture.

Support your arms or legs. I used this pillow after I had deep, painful bruising from an IV that had to be inserted at my inner elbow, to stabilize my arm. I also use this pillow to cradle my forearm when sleeping on my side, especially when my shoulder is feeling sore.

Some things that really don't seem to work:

I have never found a good use for twisting this pillow.

It really doesn't work for lumbar support. It is not shaped anything like a lumbar pillow. (maybe hemorrhoids?)

Here are some things that I think would improve the pillow:

Being able to heat and cool it.

Stronger seams. It does develop small holes that need a quick mending, causing the microbeads to seep out. I have had to mend two of these.

Pillowcases of some form, so you would feel more comfortable sharing it. Although I don't know how you would make one that would preserve the versatility of the pillow.

I am a Soldier deployed to Afghanistan. I have been using this pillow every night for the last four months. I have used it sleeping on beds, cots, the floor, armored vehicles, airplanes, and helicopters. Not to mention as a head rest as I try to relax reclining back in a chair. Overall this pillow has been very versitile and has held up extremely well. whenever I have to travel I make sure there is enough room in my pack for it. I don't think I will ever travel without it again. I did try to rip the tag off of it, creating a hole at the seem. But that was my fault, not a product of poor construction(if you play rough with things, they will break). But I used some shoe-goo and medical tape to seal the hole, and it is as good as new(maybe even better now that it is slightly deflated).

The pillow is very hard. It actually gave me a headache! We had two of them, and the first one broke within minutes when my husband tried to open it up. Tiny beads flew all over my car. There is a warning on the pillow that says the pellets are hazardous to children and pets. Great!! The second pillow I took on an airplane. It gave me a headache as soon as I started to use it. This pillow is utterly awful!!!!! Save your money!

I just took this pillow on a 19 hour series of flights from the U.S. to Africa. It is the first time I found any pillow that didn't make me feel like i was choking or eating my neck. It holds position and let's you keep your neck in the position that you want it in, without falling into your neighbor's seat. I've continued to use this in my hotel and the house where I'm visiting in the 5 nights I have been here. I'm a happy customer.

Unbelieveably uncomfortable, no matter how you twist,fold or use it. I suppose you can sit on it if you're really "hard up". Only redeeming factor, it won't fall off your suitcase when put over the handle. That's if you haven't already thrown it into the nearest trash can.

This is an amazing product!!! It has an incredibly soft cover and it's adjustable firmness makes it incredibly comfortable!!! You can use so many ways to find your own comfortable position. Also, the air nozzle is not located in an area where your head will ever be bothered by it (unlike what some other people said). It's very easy to inflate (less than a few effortless puffs, my grandmother could do it!!) and to adjust with just a push of a button! I also have jaw and neck issues and usually get a migraine as a result of those issues especially when I fly. I've had this pillow long enough to have taken it on several trans-Atlantic and trans-continental flights. It has performed quite well. I have tried *many* travel pillows, and this is my second-favorite (favorite was an inflatable pillow from TravelSmith, but they don't sell it anymore and I've never found it elsewhere).

PROS: * Uber-soft. I mean, you won't believe how soft it is.

* Doesn't get all "sweaty" like cheap travel pillows

* Inflates to desired fullness with a few puffs; deflates as easily.

* Folds up into itself to about the size of a fist.

CONS: * It is true as someone else mentioned (and as you can see in the photo) that one side is rather narrow. If you put the pillow around your neck like a regular travel pillow and sit with your neck straight, it might feel like your neck wants to tilt over to the small side of the pillow. HOWEVER, the pillow is flexible enough that you can fold the skinny part under itself, and it becomes just like the other side. This is usually the way I use it. I was a bit worried at first that I would damage the air bladder inside but so far, so good.

* I haven't figured out how to wash the cover. Probably I shouldn't have thrown the box away.

I have been using this pillow for about 2 years. It takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it, the pillow works fine. Best of all, sine I take domestic early morning flights, if is small enough that I can put it in my brief case and catch a few hours of extra sleep on a flight. I have never had any funtional problems with it.

I loved how it felt, it was soft and nice and compact. But it broke before I even used it. I broke on the plane as I was blowing it up!! The closing tab came off, so it did not hold the air. Very very poorly made.

I purchased this pillow for a recent trip to Europe, but returned home disappointed in how it functioned. I found it to be too small to be of any help, and I could never get it into a comfortable position. The valve protective cap came off during my flight and was lost, so now the valve is easily pressed thereby deflating the pillow. I had hoped that this pillow would be compact and easy to carry, and I definitely found it to fit those criteria. Unfortunately it did not actually function reasonably!

I was looking for an affordable pillow on Amazon and all of them were really expensive, and then I ran across this, which is approx. $10.00 per pillow. They're decently comfortable, they get the job done. I wouldn't recommend this if you're really picky with your pillows. If you're just looking for something affordable to hold you over, or aren't picky, this is a great buy.

When ordering pillows I am kind of lost but after finding my husband the perfect pillow since he is so picky I thought finding me some would be very hard. I want my pillows soft when I sleep but thick enough for when I am sitting up in bed. When Hesse came in I thought they were perfect thy felt nice and fluffy and after breaking them in they would be perfect. They are very nice pillows and I am happy with them, they are very soft but are actually Turing out to be a little too fluffy. When I am sitting up in bed I have to stack them to be able to stay sitting up but after a while I have to move them around to sitting up again. When I sleep they are so fluffy until I put my head down then my head sinks in flat. And I need to be a little elevated at sleep do to acid reflux. After I lay my bed own it is like my bed is completely flat with pillow surrounding my head and I am a stomach sleeping so it is a little uncomfortable. For me I needed a little bit more firmness in my pillow. The pillow it self is very nice, these are king size and in past I have had pillows come apart at the seems so I check these ver closely and the seems are very strong and the pillow is well put together, the out Side of the pillow is very soft and comfortable against your skin. They are especially good for the shams and look very good when bed is made and all pillows are together.

Please don't misunderstand me,The seller was awesome, the shipped the pillows out very fast The pillows are exactly as described. So it isn't the sellers fault I didn't realize I was getting pillows so soft. I need a very soft bed due to severe arthritis so I have a pillow top with memory foam so I thought I needed pillows jut as soft. For so done that like pillows very soft them theses are for you but if you need firmness then you need to keep looking. I am hoping that the pillows will start to flatten with time.

These are not egyptian cotton 800 thread sheets. i know the label says they are but they feel like regular 250 count sheets to me. Very dissapointed and will not make such purchasing mistakes in the future. Just go to bed bath and beyond so you can feel the sheets because these are a very cheap immitation. Only redeeming quality is that they are deep pockets for newer type mattresses and have a nice color to them. Otherwise not worth the supposed discount price.

Egyptian Bedding 1500 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton 4 PIECE BED 1500TC Sheet Set, King, White Stripe

The Sheets are not even close to what is advertised. They are ultra light weight, so much so you can see through them. Not 1500 thread count, lucky if 200. Sheets are not extra deep. Maybe 10-12 inches deep as opposed to the advertised 14-20 inches deep. If you have a deep matress these will not fit. Both the Fitted Sheet and the Cover Sheet are way to small for the average King sized bed. Quality of the sheets is about average. They do have a soft touch feel but the quality of the threads leave me to conclude they will fall apart after a number of washings. The Vendor, once notified of my complaints was quick to offer a settlement. I susspect they are aware of the sort comings of this product and continue to falsely advertise.

Be very aware of these sheets, highly doubt they are what you should expect from this product. They do not seem to have the density that comes with 1500tc . Upon inspecting the hems/seams they seemed ready to rip apart at the first use. Highly doubt the durability of this product. I have other sets of 1500tc sheets, these do not even come close to comparing with them .

I am please with my purchase of this sheet set and am using it regularly on my king size mattress/bed. I like the design in the fabric and the sheets fit well on the bed. The feel of the sheets is a bit rough until after several washings and if there is a down side to these sheets it is that the sheets do not have the same feel against your skin as other good quality 400 to 600 count sheets that I own. All things equal, I will likely select a 400 to 600 count 100 % cotton sheet set next time, as I do not quite understand the pros of the 1500 count sheets.
