I use this for lying on my couch, it is soft and comfortable and there is enough pillow there, it is not too small, it seems fine to lie on my back and have my neck supported, I made a cover for it by gathering the ends of a tube of material I had sewn together (think plastic bag storage bags).

I have had hip surgeries and back problems for years. I have had a number of xrays and even an MRI. Often there is no under-the-knees support provided at the health facilities for these procedures and it is pure torture to lie on their hard tables with nothing under the back of the knees so I take my own. I have even had people in the waiting room ask me where I got it. And, of course, it is my faithful sleeping buddy. I recommend this to anyone with hip and back issues.

I do not like this pillow to much, I bought it for support for my back. I place in behind me while on the couch. I noticed that the stuffing in it is flattening out in the middle, which is not providing me with no support.
