This pillow is such a relief. Although only in my 50's, I suffer with chronic neck pain/discomfort, due to arthritic changes and pinched nerves. This gives such relief while watching TV, reading, even driving. Sometimes I prefer to not wear it in "neck ring position", but place the ends up with the bottom of the U under my neck. This makes it feel thinner and not as confining.
If you are considering this pillow vs. one of the ones filled with buckwheat, go for the buckwheat one, because it is more comfortable. I had one for years, and am sorry I purchased this one. Not very comfortable.
