Mediflow Waterbase Pillow

Mediflow Original Waterbase PillowAfter buying dozens of different types of pillows and spending tons of money, I finally found a pillow that finally does what it claims. I have serious cervical and lumbar disk problems and am on disability. I truly needed a pillow that would support my head and neck properly. I no longer wake up during the night to readjust and fluff the pillow and the neck pain is gone. This is NOT a pillow designated for ONLY side sleepers, back sleepers or stomach sleepers. This is a pillow for ANY position you sleep in as it moves with you as it cradles your head and neck. You can control the amount of support and firmness by the amount of water you fill the pillow with. Obviously, it will NEVER go flat!! But be aware that once filled with water, this pillow gets quite heavy thus staying put. I also bought one for my husband who also complains of neck pain and we are happy campers in the morning now!!! I highly recommend this waterbased pillow to everyone needing a good night's rest and spare their neck from needless malalignment and pain. This is also a great price as it usually sells for twice the amount! Grab it while you can!!! Speedy delivery. Thank you from the bottom of my neck!!!

These are hands down, the most awesome pillows, we have ever owned. They were originally suggested by a chiropractor at $60 per pillow, however at the time, a "water bed pillow" for $60 just sounded silly. What brought me back around to these pillows, was the year-long search that my wife and I had been on for the perfect pillows. One of her beloved cats managed to destroy our previous and quite comfortable pillows, which subsequently caused us to get caught up in the frustrating search for the perfect pillow. We spent a year, buying this pillow and that pillow, all to no avail. Then one day I rolled the dice, and bought a pair of these pillows with the covers. The covers actually make the dish. These are the most comfortable pillows that I have ever slept on in my 42 years on this planet!!! These pillows rate 10 stars!!! Just follow the directions and enjoy the best nights sleep you have ever had. I do not work for, nor own this company, although after using their product I wish I did!!! Our pillows are about three months old so far, and holding up exceptionally well. They recommend you change the water every six months or so, depending on what type of water you put in. The pillow is about half to three quarters cushion, with the water being the bottom layer. They seal tight and do not leak. There is no audible sound from the water in the pillow, as if you follow the directions, they will instruct you on how to expel excess air. These pillows and of those Black & Decker scissors, have to be my two best finds for 2006!!!

After years of trying out every kind of pillow on the market, spending beaucoup bucks and continuing to wake up with neck and shoulder pain, I decided to try this. It was deliverd 5 days from order, and the filling-up process was simple (very clear directions). My first night with it I slept straight through, with none of the usual 3 a.m. pillow-punching-and-readjustment interludes, and I woke up feeling totally rested and free of any neck/shoulder pain.

As noted in the description, you can adjust the fullness as desired, but "medium" works well for a mix of back and side sleeping. And be aware that once filled this pillow is somewhat heavy and unwieldy; if you're a person who likes to use pillows to prop yourself up and read in bed, keep a couple of your old foam or fiber-filled ones around for that. But use this one for sleeping on; you'll be *very* happy with it.

I have a neck injury from a fall. Although the injury has "healed", the resulting dislocation has caused a problem. When I sleep, my neck impinges on my spinal column, causing me to awaken with a "neck headache". My chiropractor suggested that I try this pillow. The best money I have ever spent was on this pillow! I no longer awaken with any headaches, nor stiffness, or any "creaks" from the way I have slept. The pillow cradles both my head and cervical spine with a soft, supple support that modifies every time I change positions when I am asleep.

I believe this to be the best pillow on the market for those people who have neck problems and are trying to get a comfortable night's sleep by trying different pillows.

This is the best pillow i've ever slept on. There are several things to be aware about this pillow before you buy. Here are the pro's and con's.

The age old problem with regular pillows is that its firmness deteriorates over time. You can fluff it up, but it goes flat over time.

Pro: This pillow stay's at your desired firmness. You can adjust the firmness by following the instructions (Add or Remove water). I've bought $5 to $120 pillows before, and this pillow has given me the best rest. Both my wife and I are loving it. She's used similar pillows before and always loved it, while I've only used this pillow for a month.

Con: Not really con's, but more like 'be aware'.

1. It had the worst plastic oder when we first took it out of the box. The oder lingered for a week. Either we are use to the smell or it's gone completely.

2. This pillow is heavy! After adding water, Mine is 8 lb's heavy. Its a little difficult when moving it laying down, but you get use to it over time.

3. Dont use it if you want to sit upwards reading a book. Since it's heavy with water, hence, its difficult to set it upwards against your back.

4. Its a bit pricey. But, My mother in-law bought her's 4 years ago for $100, and my father in-law bought his for $50 a year ago. I got mine for $35 each. So, the price is coming down...

5. Air circulation isn't the worst, but it isnt that great either. I consider a regular pillow having the best air circulation. And the tempurpedic foam or air type pillow being the worst. This is just a little better than the tempurpedic.

6. The pillow's do feel a little like sleeping on a water bed. The key is to squeeze out the air after filling it with water. But, i still can feel the water swishing a little when i first lay my head on the pillow.

Conclusion: I use to wake up at night, adjust my pillow and try falling back to sleep. Now, I rarely wake up at night. I love it, and the rest of my family loves it too.
