This helped my MIL when I first purchased it. It was very comfortable and supportive at the time. It has lost it's suport and I realize it is of fair quality. The "5.5" number does NOT represent the density at all.
Buyer beware.
I bought this to go over my queen matteress in my guest room. It works, it helps the cheap matteress, but I wish I would have gotten another 2 to 3 inches thickness. For everyday use I don't think this is thick enough. I may get another one to put on top of this one.

When I received it, the mattress was emitting a very strong chemical smell. I aired it out by a window until I couldn't smell it anymore (3 weeks). I wanted to make sure I wasn't inhaling those fumes while I slept.
Aside from that, I have no complaints. I sleep on it every night now.
