I got this after my kidlet got to be too big for the infant insert that came with our Chicco Keyfit 30 car seat. While I kept the neck piece in there longer, she was very uncomfortable and cried every time she'd go in because her head would always slump forward during car rides. With this adorable froggie friend (as we call it now), her head is cushioned both on the sides and to the back of the carrier so that it doesn't slump anymore. Babygirl now goes into the seat happily, falls asleep in there right away and also has a friend to play with when we're out in a restaurant. She doesn't really like her pacifier on the attachment (it's a felt strap with a velcro end so you can adjust it as long as needed to hold the paci) but she does chew on the end. Best part about this thing it's machine washable and stuffing doesn't clump after the wash/dry. Great purchase for the price especially.
