This comforter set was purchased for a standard Queen bed and it and arrived on time and in good condition. It was very pretty, but unfortunately, I had to return it. It looked almost exactly like the picture in the description showed, (colors seemed slightly darker in person) but the 100-percent Polyester fabric on the comforter piece and pillow shams included patches of velvet, which would make it very hard to clean. Also, the comforter was so large it would not fit into my standard sized washer and dryer. In case you are wondering, I have a Sears Kenmore brand standard size top loading washer and front loading dryer. Normally I can wash and dry blankets and comforters easily in there, but even when folded up, this set wouldn't fit. I wish I would have known it wouldn't fit before ordering it! Lucky I never put any detergent into my washer before attempting to put the comforter in! Although the manufacturer includes the dimensions and they turned out to be correct, it still did not fit completely into my washer or dryer. Also, the velvet patches made any lint that got onto it show up very clearly and with staying power. I really didn't want to have to dry clean this comforter so back to Amazon it went. It would really have been helpful if the manufacturer had written something in the product description like " needs to be dry cleaned" or "requires extra large commercial sized washer and dryer to clean".Another problem was that although the set was in good condition overall when it arrived, it did have a few strings and threads hanging off and also a funny smell and some dust inside the bedding.
I think this is probably from being boxed up in a warehouse, but also due to the type of material that parts of the comforter set are made from.
Prospective buyers should think carefully about the size of this item and ease of care (or in this case lack of it) before ordering this item.
