Only slightly crinkly sounding doesn't keep you awake or distract from the TV or anything, and they don't feel weird when covered by a standard pillow case. Standard size is ample enough probably to hold the bulkiest standard sized pillow. Keeps my husband's sweaty head from stinking up the pillow. Recommended to wash on low speed cycle or hand wash and air dry. I washed on handwash cycle, tumbled on low for a few minutes then hang and they came out fresh and not wrinkly at all. My husband really likes how it makes his old lumpy pillow seems fluffier (guess it's the air it traps in), and his head stays dryer and cooler. If they were still available I'd definitely buy more for all the guest pillows.

these are really nice. They are slippery and pillow cases come off easily but they work well for what they are intended. Bloody noses do not leak through. They do kind of fluff up with air a bit not to be uncomfortable just something I've noticed.Having discovered bed bugs was at first overwhelming. With treament and these pillow encasements things are finally feeling much more controllable. These pillow encasements are soft, high quality and easy to care for. They slip right over the pillow and zip up nicely. I highly suggest purchasing these even if you do not have bed bugs. They are great for prevention of not only bugs but certain allergies as well.I am very happy with the pillow protectors I purchased. The quality is great especially for the price.
