The pillow is very comfortable and has a plushy cover. However, when I pump air into the core, the pillow doesn't seem to change in any way, either in height or firmness. My old one that I lost in a flood, was much better in that it adjusted nicely with the pump. If the air core is what makes it expensive, then don't waste your money.

This pillow is a godsend for me! My neck problems have made it difficult to sleep without the precise neck support provided by the air pump.

This is the worse pillow ever purchased by me and it wasn't cheap. The width of the pillow is about 2" and yes it may pump up to 5", but it is uncomfortable, as it is still too low. Don't waste your money!
