Maytex Pixel Stretch 2-Piece Slipcover Sofa

I ordered two slipcovers, both the same, one couch sized and one loveseat sized. Both are the chocolate color. I have had these couches for almost 10 years. We bought them while stationed in Japan, we now live in Texas, so these couches have been all over the globe! They were originally blue in color, and have stood up except for the fabric. 3 kids, 2 dogs a cat and a ferret can be very hard on a couch. The color no longer matched the living decor. Buying new couches were too expensive right now so we decided to order these slipcover. I paid about !20 for both, around $60-62 each cover. It is very very soft, I am a bit worried about it fuzzing up over time, but we will see. Extremely stretchy, I have a very large sofa, it has huge arms and I was worried this might not fit, but it worked like a champ! It fits very snugly around the arms and back. It very easy to install, one person can do it by themselves. The cushions are not as easy as the video shows. I had two very large bottom cushions and it can get a little tricky trying to put the entire bottom piece in as one piece. You do still see the crease in the middle of the cushions. You could take the excess from the cushion cover and make it look like 2 or 3 cushions instead of one long one. The hem does not hang evenly, at least not for me. In the back it tends to ride up about 2 inches off the floor because there is nothing to tuck it into to keep it in place. Now if your couch is against the wall, this won't be a problem and its really not that noticeable. The reason why I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is because it has paper tags on the arms, back and seat, which you rip off. These tags are intended to show you where that piece of the cover goes for example, arm, back, center and another arm. While these are handy, the thing is, they do not come completely out, they are actually sewn into the fabric, so you're stuck with white paper stuck in the seam (please see photos posted). Now, my anal retentive self cannot put up with this,s o I took a pair of tipped tweezers and dug it out piece by pirce until you couldn't see it anymore. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they did this. The only one (there are 4 tags in all) that rips clean is the on the seat where it meets the big white square. Your cushions go over this, so you won't see it anyway! Aside from that, I'm very very pleased, my couches look so good now and match the living room perfectly. I have attached several pictures, please feel free to see them. This is a great buy if you are on a tight budget and really want to give your furniture a face lift!

I have three kids aged three and under and a cream couch. The couch came before the kids, but over the years, well, the cream couch is now cream with spots of 'flavor.' Needless to say, I needed something to cover my couch. I have tried traditional slip covers before, but let me tell you, they look bulky and wrong from the get-go. These ones take a minute before you realize that it's actually a slipcover.

These slip covers are easy to put on. From start to finish it took me less than 5 minutes and it looks practically seamless and professional. Not to mention it's ridiculously soft. The fact that it's a two piece is the kicker. With traditional slip covers, you sit and then it's almost as if you're wrapped in a blanket. I keep looking to my sides to see the slip cover trying to envelop me, but it doesn't! It's simply amazing. Which brings me to my next point it also stays put.

With the two older kids fidgeting on the couch nonstop and random pillow fights, I expected to have to readjust the cover, but it's been on solid since I placed it with no bunching or crumpling up. It takes a lot to impress me, especially with that price, but I'm impressed.

For the record, I bought brown. When I first got it, I washed it in cold water with some scented soap and it still smells great. BUT the brown color runs, so DON'T WASH IT WITH ANYTHING BUT THE SLIP COVER. Be warned. A random sock was still in the washer when I ran it through and now my once white sock now looks like it has been through the mud. A lot.

Bottom line, I highly recommend this product. 100%.

I have been using this on a big, ugly but super comfortable couch for 2 months now. Needed something to cover up the cat scratched arms and the holes poked in the fabric by the kids. This has been wonderful. Only 4 stars because I can't quite get it to fit all the way down the back of the couch not a big deal to me as it is against a wall.

As others have said the fabric is thinner than my Sure Fit covers on other couches. However this is a benefit as the material is quite stretchy. It moves back into place when you get off the couch, unlike my Sure Fit covers. Those have to repositioned constantly. This has been on for 2 months and I have barely had to readjust it all.

The cat has clawed at this a little but it doesn't have runs in it yet. I think the stretchy cover freaks him out when his claws get in it.

Overall this is an inexpensive and highly functional cover that makes my couch look presentable again, is comfy for napping and tolerates 3 children jumping on it and a cat clawing it. Would recommend and wish they had one to fit my oversize, intensely comfortable chair with hideous upholstery.

Just want to add that my couch is very long and has huge arms (about 10 inches wide) that are the same height as the back. This cover stretched to cover the arms without a problem. It just won't go all the way down the back of the couch now.

Slipcover has been on for over a year, I have only had to re-adjust it once. Still works fine despite kids, food, craziness. Still a good purchase.

I chose this couch cover because I have a 7 foot long couch and covers that fit tend to be rather expensive and this one was under $65. Normally I don't like buying something with so little reviews but the others commented that it was soft and easy to put on so I took a chance and am absolutely glad that I did. The size is near perfect for my couch, the elastic is wonderful and doesn't look awkward like covers with ties. I did find that in a few places it was a little saggy but I did expect that since couches come in all sorts of different shapes, and these are made to fit as many as possible, and for me it is very minor, but if put on a couch on the smaller end of the size range it will probably be more noticeable. What I did find is that while the body of the cover fits the couch great, the independent cover for the cushions is a bit big.

We've been sleeping on this topper for almost 2 weeks now. First time we tried, we liked it. It was so comfortable and felt really nice as we are lying on a cloud. However, as days go by, the real quality of this topper began to show. As previous reviewer indicated, topper sang around heavy weight area (hip and back) causing uncomfortable and pain in the morning. We tried to rotate topper, but it didn't help.

I wish I could return this item, but Brookstone doesn't accept the return for this item, which is in my opinion not a good business practice. I feel like I'm ripped off. I don't think I will ever shop at Brookstone again until they improve the quality of the item. I'm planning to dispute the credit card charge for this unacceptable quality.

The directions say to allow 2 days for the mattress pad to expand before using it. I have left it out for 6 days now and there are sections that have not expanded yet. I called BioSense warranty line and they are sending me a brand new mattress pad.

To all of you that have bad reviews of this product: It is apparent that you have not read the instructions and you just assumed that upon unpacking it it was immediately ready for use. If you read the instructions then your mattress pad would not be uncomfortable, you would not consider it a sink hole, and you would not be complaining that you cannot return it because the phone number for returns is right on the warranty information on the back of the same Quick Start Guide that tells you to leave it out for at least 48 hours before using it. If you did read the instructions and you still find it uncomfortable, then call the number and have it replaced rather than complaining about the quality of Brookstone's products based off of one single item. You just sound vindictive.

The phone call took me all of 5 minutes. They asked for either my order number or receipt number; when I told them that all of that was long gone, they used my zip code, date of purchase (which I gathered from my credit card statement), the last 4 digits of my credit card, and nothing more. They are sending me an address label to my e-mail address, which I am assuming will already have postage paid on it because my instructions were to box it up (in any box, not necessarily the one it came in), put the label on it, and drop it off at any UPS store. When they receive the product again, they will send me a new one. I will re-post on either the success or failure of this process.

I selected this topper even though it cost more than any others I had found. The reason was that it contains two layers the bottom foam layer and the alternate down top layer. This topper is well worth the price. It's incredibly comfortable for those looking for a soft bed. It fits perfectly on my bed and does not slide. I would highly recommend this topper if you can afford the high price.

Makes my sagging bed feel much better. This is one of the thickest toppers I found and was very soft. May not be comfortable for everyone, but worked for me. I've been suffering from intermittent bed bug bites on the neck for the past few months. The covers were very easy to get on and they are well designed. The zipper is also suprisingly well constructed. The mattress cover was a little hard to get on by myself given the weight of the mattress but I managed it eventually.

I couldn't really feel any difference when sleeping on the covers as far as comfort goes, but most of all I've been bite free for the past 2 weeks!

I had a full-blown bedbug infestation (many dozens). I got my infestation through the walls from a neighboring apartment. So one can never truly be secure from a new infestation and needs to be constantly vigilant.

First, it's important first to do a diligent primary elimination. There's a good guide at www.nyc.gov/bedbugs. The bugs live in the walls, appliances -everywhere -for a long time so it's almost impossible to get rid of them all in one try. I had a small re-infestation (one-half dozen) after about 8 months.

I first tried food grade diatomaceous earth and believe it probably works as claimed but the powder lingers in the air and choked me. I could always smell it in the air and always felt it in my sinuses so I discontinued it except to mist it into the walls through the electrical outlets and wall switches.

This mattress cover (and the one for the box spring) do a good job of locking in any bugs or eggs that you might have missed from your primary elimination. However inconvenient for the bedbugs though, they will have no problem hiding elsewhere in your bedroom and home and simply crawl up onto your bed when they desire to feast on your blood. These covers also give the bedbugs fewer places to hide and breed on your bed itself when they later come out of their other hiding places. For my second infestation there were a few bugs actually hiding under the velcro flaps of these covers, the flaps that are intended to seal the gap at the very end of the zipper. With these covers on, that was their only hiding place on my bed itself so these covers are still worthwhile but are only a partial solution.

After that second infestation, I decided to attack the problem with extreme prejudice. Following are the extra steps that one must take to remain bed bug free forever (you can thank me later):

After the first elimination, one must be diligent to make sure that the bed never touches the walls, furniture and curtains (always leave a wide gap). Be certain that the bed sheets and bedspread never touch the ground (especially while you sleep). Never unpack luggage or moving boxes on top of the bed (better yet, unpack in the driveway and never place ANYTHING on your bed, period). Be wary of all new purchases, especially yard sale and thrift store purchases (wash everything immediately in the hottest water). With that done, the only way for the bugs to get to your bed (and your blood) is up the legs of the bed.

MOST IMPORTANT STEP!

Do a search for and purchase "Mouse Glue Boards." These are thin pieces of cardboard with strong glue on one side, strong enough to catch a mouse when it steps on it, so they will catch the bugs with ease. Cut down these glue boards to fit and tightly wrap the legs of your bed frame with them. Secure them with narrow strips of duct tape. (The glue doesn't stick well to itself and so needs the duct tape.) Leave adequate space between the strips of tape so that there is enough glue exposed to catch the bed bugs. These boards will finally eliminate them for good because they'll eventually need to feed and will try to make their way up from their other hiding places to the legs of the bed and get caught in the glue boards. Check the boards for bugs often. My bed's legs are cylindrical so the taping was easy. For other types of bed legs, you might have to do more creative duct taping.

Finally, leave these glue boards on the legs of your bed always as the ultimate protection.

I bought this to protect my memory foam mattress from absorbing any moisture.

I disagree with the reviews that say this encasement is noiseless, and with the description that says it "offer[s] a breathable noiseless cotton terry surface material." It is true that the top of the encasement is a soft cotton material, but under it is a plastic layer that feels a bit like a mid-quality shower curtain liner.

I decided to go with SafeRest because the reviews said it was noiseless, did not feel like plastic, and would not change the feel of the mattress. It is not as loud as plastic, but it does have a slippery feel to it, has some crinkling, and changes the overall feel of my expensive memory foam mattress.

I'll end up keeping it until I find something better, but it's not what I was hoping for for the price point.

I love these and will be buying them as gifts for friends and family. You can always turn your dryer temp to lower or hang dry as they have a soft rubber backing which is great. I've had my dogs chew raw hide on my bed and these protected against a stain transferring. Excellent for small pet owners who's pets sleep on the bed.

I was impressed with the quality of the set. It was well put together and looks like it would last a while. However, it is a deeper purple/plum than it appears in the photo. The solid color fabric looked almost blackish indoors. I think you would need a VERY bright room to bring out the lavendar sheen that you see in the photo. I ended up returning for that reason and because it was not quite wide enough for the really deep mattress I was putting it on. The sheets were peeking out beneath on both sides. But if you have a regular mattress I don't think that would be a problem. Just keep in mind that it's a deeper color, and what looks like stitching around the flowers is just part of the pattern. But I would definitely think about buying this brand again, based on the quality for the price.

We were very happy to find such a good bargain on a king comforter. I think the color matches the picture and it goes very well in our room. The comforter is the correct size for our bed and we have the thicker box spring. I love the look of it when i enter our room as it adds color and class. For the price and the free shipping there is no where else that compared with it. Overstock,Kohls and a couple other online stores had the set but for more money. Fast shipping and it was packaged well. Wasn't all wrinkled when it was unpacked. We do take it off the bed each night for 2 reasons, right now it has been too hot for it and two, it does need to be drycleaned so we will try keep it clean. Looks great! Only problem I am having is finding curtains or drapes to match.

This comforter is very pretty, very elegant, and very colorful. However, the material is polyester, so it almost looks as if it is "thin" or "cheap", instead of thick and comfy. When it arrived, I layed it out and ALL the ruffles stood straight up, requiring ironing around all the edges. The inside of the comforter is nice and soft. The picture looks different than what it does on my daughters bed partly because the ruffles still don't lay flat and partly because of the polyester material. I like it, but probably wouldn't spend so much money on it again in the future.

I'm giving this 5 stars because the product I received is what was expected and seems to be of a good quality.

General:

This pillow measures 6" x 18" and its insert is made of a cylindrical, dense, memory foam type material. I'm not sure what the official characteristics that qualify a foam as "memory" foam are, but this product's foam has very similar characteristics to my prior memory foam cervical pillow and leaves the imprint of my hand for a while after I press into it (so it seems to me to be memory foam). The cover is soft and removable. The pillow did not have any noticeable odors or other overtly undesirable issues.

I ended up buying a king size pillow just for the heck of it and needed some nice cases to go with it. I love how soft these pillow cases are. They seem to me like some sort of fluffy silk, as opposed to smooth silk.

Well I had bought a the hole set in purple for my Queen size bed. I had never had purple sheets. Once I put them on the bed they not only look "Great" , But also feel so nice and soft. I was able to fine the kings size for my other king size pillows so now I have the whole set.

I highly recomened these pillow cases and also the bed sheets. They are so soft and light. I don't want to get out of bed in the mornings. Thank you Amazon for such a wonderful purchase.

These pillow cases are working well for our king sized pillows. Once washed they are soft and silkly and pleasant to use. The construction of them seems to be well made and they cover the pillows nicely. No negitive comments about them yet.

the whole bed set is so soft, but i had to buy these separate, as we use 4 pillows. I would recommend this set!
