Having looked at several different sites and multiple reviews of this product, I was prepared for the slight color variation from the picture to the actual comforter. My son is nine and we had a hard time finding suitable, age appropriate bedding that was without characters, themes, and not plaid or striped, so he was overjoyed to find this pattern. We are both excited about the purchase. Comforter is thin compared to the down he is used to, but we live on the coast of NC and really have no need for thick bedding. I am glad we waited to do the rest of the room until this set arrived, because now we will be able to decorate accordingly. For the money and style, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I love the feeling of it while I sleep, but the colors on the picture and the product are a little different. It still works for me though. The gray stripe is green, and the other colors are a little different, Personally I like it better that way.

This comforter is warm and soft. The initial "new comforter" scent passed quickly. I've enjoyed the set a great deal as winter temperatures fall upon us. The material's not luxurious or elite by any means, but it gets the job done nicely. As long as the comforter stays comfortably (pardon the pun) below $75, I'd have no problem recommending it to anyone in search of a new comforter set.

The picture is NOT the same color as the product! My son and I both thought it was black/orange/white/gray. It is a nice set but the picture is deceiving. It was a birthday present for my son that he really wanted and he is disappointed :(

I have owned several feather beds, this is by far the saddest. First off, just seeing it in the box I knew I was going to return it. I have owned feather beds far more comfortable and thicker, My comforter is thicker than this thing. I'm assuming those whom have reviewed this feather bed have never owned a really nice one. You could get something better for 1/2 the price. Also just a note...for king sized it states the shipping weight for the product would be 24lbs....it's 18, so that tells you right there....I was skeptical about a king sized feather bed weighing 24lbs...but 18? The fill power must be less than 250.The product detail says this is the retail version of the feather topper used in hotels such as the Ritz...I think they meant to say a pillow at motel 6.

I recommend this feather bed, had the best sleep of my life last night on it. Very smart for them to put the extra topper on top so you can't feel any feathers poking out. My husband was concerned it might be too soft for his back, he has had total back reconstruction with the steel rod attached to his spine, however, he told me today his back doesn't hurt due to the softness of this featherbed and for sure he will sleep on it for now on. Great! cause I love it!

I like my feather bed, but, although it has separated sections, I have to "smooch" the foot and head of the bed to get the feathers into where the heaviest portion of my body lies. I find I'm making the bed often just to redistribute the feathers. When they are in place, it's a most comfortable bed loved by me and by my dog. I recently went to "Bed Bath and Beyone" with a friend who bought one for a fraction of my price. I don't know if it's as good, but it would have been the way to go before such a large investment. This was over $180 and may or may not be worth it. I like it, but I feel others would have been as good. I took the lazy way out and ordered it before looking in stores.

I ordered this pillow with the belief that it was of soft textured materials only, come to find out that there was not very much shag and it is not on both sides which i was hoping for..they should show a picture of the back of the pillow as well as the front because i was under the impression that it was shaggy on the front and back.

I LOVE this pillow. It is shag with part of the shag like eyelash fringe mixed with narrow fabric strings. Incoporated into the eyelash fringe are tiny sparklies that dance when the light hits them.

It is a bright lime green that goes great with a medium aqua. It will certainly brighten your room. It appears to be a very well made pillow. I would use it in any room in my house.

I do not have a hearing problem, but a "wake up:" problem.

I had a vibrating alarm clock before that and that one worked well until it fell on the floor one too many times. I ordered this on and it was a poor choice. I should have selected different kind of vibrating alarm clock. This one is very well constructed, easy to set and read. But...you can barely hear the alarm, and, to beat that it doesn't vibrate very well. I'm now on the look out for a replacement.

I really hate giving negative reviews, but it just doesn't wake me up.

I had a pillow alarm that I accidentally washed and ruined. So when I bought a new one, I expected the same quality. However, several times, I have been unable to change the alarm or clock times. The keys must lock up. Tried again in a couple of days, and was able to change. Not sure what the issue is.

I am very pleased with this sofa-it came in a huge box that is the length of the sofa, and weighed about 100 pounds, so if ordered, I suggest having two people ready to carry it into your home. I live on the third floor, and without a very helpful neighbor, I would have had no chance to bring it in, as the UPS driver was unable to carry it with me.

So, I wasn't expecting a super high quality couch for under 500$, but I was pleasantly surprised that this one is solid and comfy when put together. I think a lot depends on how well you can put it together, because it does require assembly. It can be done by one or two persons, and my husband got it together in less than an hour, although he is very experienced with such things. Still, it is nice that the customer has the option to really put it together and make a solid couch. I suggest paying close attention to tightening all the bolts. There is no heavy work to do, just screwing in bolts with the included allen wrench, putting the box springs in, etc.

It comes in several pieces, and one thing that I think other customers might be concerned about is that the cover gets stuffed with the coil springs, and then just velcro-ed to the bottom. Really, it looks nice and you wouldn't know that it is just velcro-ed on, but I could see that being a bother to some people. Also, the arm cushions have a strip of velcro to hold them in position on the sides of the couch, and if you sit down vigorously, the velcro sometimes comes unfastened, which is a little annoying. I think it is necessary to have them like this so that it can fold down to a bed, but that is the least aesthetically appealing part of the whole thing. It folds nicely to a bed, and is comfy enough to sleep on. The microfiber cover is soft and nice, and looks contemporary and good.

This might not be important to all customers, but I read on the company website that they are relatively environmnentally friendly--From their website:

All Handy Living sofas are designed with high quality components, but are also designed for responsible disposal after their useful life. No more sofas on the curb. This is really great, because I have seen so many sofas being taken to the landfill to slowly break down. Also, I want to note that there is no chemical smell with this sofa, which others complained of in reviews for other sofas in this price range, but from different brands. That is important to me as well.

All-in-all, I would recommend this sofa to almost anyone looking for a quality sofa at a really great price, or to those who don't want to have to pay for expensive delivery. Delivery was free with amazon prime, which blew me away. I've never had such a large item delivered without a huge cost.

One final note: It takes a bit for the cushions to "decompress"what I mean is that when first out of the box, the cushions were compressed a lot, and have plumped up a lot after we put it together. The instructions (which were reasonably clear) said that they will fully decompress in 48-72 hours.

The only people I wouldn't recommend this for would be someone who couldn't handle the construction, and couldn't find someone to help. It is not especially difficult, but I am sure some people could struggle with it, especially to get the bolts tight enough. Still, I don't think many people will be disappointed. Sorry for the long review, but there were no reviews when I was shopping for sofas, and I wanted to include as much as possible. Comment if you have questions, and I will try my best to answer. Also, I will update after 6 months or so to see how well it holds up.

It's been a little more than a year since we purchased this sofa, and I am still mostly happy with it. But there is one big issue, not with the cushions going flat, but with the springs get out of shape. This is largely because I tend to read while perched on the couch with my feet tucked under me, putting pressure sideways on the springs. Yes, my parents told me not to sit like that as a child, but I didn't heed their warnings and this caused an area of the couch to be pushed out of shape. The springs are individually set next to each other, so they can get bent sideways more easily. The quick fix for this problem was to turn the spring part around so that the part that was under the seat is now along the back rest, but this is still something that is a bit of a bother. It is still a comfortable and functional couch for the price, but I would not recommend it as wholeheartedly as I did a year ago. My husband said that if the springs were tied to each other somehow, this problem could be avoided. I will add that if you do not sit on it improperly, you might never have this issue. Also, as a guest sofa, or a sofa that is not used daily, it would likely last for a long long time. In addition, we do not have children, but I can imagine that they might get the springs out of whack as well. All in all, still a decent couch for the price. Much better than a horrible futon, and still glad that it is made in the USA. If you can afford it though, it might be worth holding out a little longer for a more expensive sofa. I bought this "convert-a-couch" last week, and it came very quickly. Too quickly in fact it arrived before I moved into my new apartment. But I suspect very few people would complain about that.

The couch is extremely comfortable and looks nice. The sage color on amazon is very accurate to what I received, and the neutral color goes well with anything and everything. Construction was easier than I expected, and I did it alone. With two people, you can have the couch together in no time.

As I'm waiting for my bed in my new apartment, I've been using the couch to sleep on, and it's amazingly comfortable. I read a review saying there is a gap between the seat and cover. I cannot see or feel one on mine, and I was laying diagonally on the couch. I slept soundly and just hope my bed is as comfortable. I imagine that that reviewer made a mistake in construction. There are a few extra sockets for screws when you put the couch together, and if you don't follow the instructions perfectly, you could possibly get a gap.

Upon completing the couch, I noticed a small tear in the cover. (Aside note: in construction they give you a microfiber cover to put over the cushions. This is what you see in the picture above with all the squares on the seat and back rest). However, I called the supplier, Handy Living, at 10:23 am. At 10:28 am, I was off the phone and a new cover was being sent to me. They are obviously very helpful, and it makes me feel more secure in my purchase.

For this price, it's really hard to beat the quality. I would give it 4.5 starts, knocking it down a little for the tear and the fabric feels a little thin. This is the perfect couch for someone who needs a nice looking, comfortable, convertible couch that will last them around 6-8 years.

I ordered this couch delivered to a vacation home on Chincoteague Island--it was delivered to the front door in the morning on the day promised (the day after my order) and it was waiting for me when I arrived. Reasonable straightforward to assemble--one person can do it. As with many to-be-assembled furniture items, you have to take care to keep the correct elements on the correct side and in the correct orientation. Also, for those who are no longer supple and limber, you'll go through the usual semi-contortionist movements to get some of the bolts in the right places--but, again, nothing unusual. The cushions are coil spring segments that look small when they're by themselves. The get stuffed into large "pockets" in the cover--and once stuffed into their pockets, they fill out the cover pretty nicely and create a normally-sized couch. It's firm and very comfortable. The padded armrests have velcro on the inside to stick to velcro on the arm structure--mine don't stay down very well (which leaves the black strip of the velcro somewhat exposed--not terribly aesthetically pleasing), but I assume that's because the couch is new and a bit stiff. I'd expect them to loosen up over time.

The couch unfolds to make a bed. It also has two settings for seating--one with the normal straight-backed orientation, and one reclined.

I'm very happy with this couch.

When I first received it, I loved it. I thought the cushions were the greatest thing, but they are not that durable. I convert the couch into a bed on a daily basis. It is my bed. Recently, I noticed that the cushions started to look a little flat so I figured that it was time to rotate them since I have own it about 4 months. Boy, was I surprised. The springs had broken through their individual pockets and were sideways. I had to "perform surgery" on the mattresses. I had to remove some of the springs and repair the pockets (some were torn to shreds). Then I had to thread them back into the pockets and sew them together for support. The mattresses also tore the inside of their cover. Luckily, the damage didn't go through the cover.

Perhaps I received defected mattresses, but at a cost of almost $500. I expected better.

I wish there was a way to have the mattresses replaced.

I have to say, this "convert-a-couch" is not really what I expected, but man is it comfortable! I heavily researched "futons" and such once I moved-in to my new apartment. Most futons are crappy couches and crappier beds. Other pull-out sofas are better couches, but worse beds. This convert-a-couch is a great couch and a better bed! It uses a spring mattress instead of just a cotton-stuffed cushion, and it's from a great, green, somewhat-hippy company that I sorta relate to and support. It's less than the price of a real couch, but serves two purposes pretty well. It takes a while to assemble, and I don't see it lasting me 10 years, but I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I won't be buying a bed/mattress after all!

The description states a Standard Zippered Pillow Protector 20x27 .... yes it is zippered "standard" it is not, it measures 18x21 at the very largest. I could get the width of my standard pillow in it (barely) but it was WAY too short!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Pillow protector should work fine: it does have a chemical smell to it, hopefully it'll go away during the first wash. The product is worth $4, not sure why the list price was $55this is a cheaply made product, and should be priced accordingly.

I purchased the Aller-Ease 100-percent Breathable Cotton Allergy Mattress Encasement. When it arrived it was indeed in Aller-Ease packaging, but the label sewn inside was Martha Stewart Collection. It says it's 100% cotton top and 100% polypropylene sides and back. Thankfully Martha Stewart does make this type of mattress protector (sold at Macy's) and claims it wards off dust mites and microscopic particles. It is also a little more expensive than the Aller-Ease brand. As long as it works I'm not complaining. Not sure if this would happen to anyone else, but beware you may not receive the brand you order.

The poor review on here didn't research the product. It is not a pad. It doesn't claim to be. It is a cover, meaning it covers the whole mattress. You shouldn't need to wash is much as you would put a mattress pad on top of it. Then only need to wash the mattress pad, not this item. We have this brand covers on our mattresses and pillows. It cuts down on items that cause allergies. Highly recommend this if going to college and using a dorm room mattress.

This are roomy so even with a pillow top they fit well. They can be papery sounding but like I said they are meant to have a pad put on top of them. By pad I don't mean a big thick think jus the normal pads that cover all but the underside of the mattress.

We don't like the chemicals used on mattress these days to aired our new ones out in the garage prior to sleeping on them. These worked great. It lets the chemicals and air pass but I didn't need to worry about and bugs getting on the mattress. We washed them once the mattresses had aired out and put them back on. They have a velco and zipper close so are very secure.

The only reason they get 4 stars is because the 100% isn't very accurate. The top layer is cotton but under that is another layer that's a blend.

We purchased a queen sized version of this mattress pad with a gift card. Mattress pad arrived damaged. Worse than the damage is that the mattress pad surrounds the entire mattress nearly impossible to take on and off. There is no padding, just a fabric covering. Once you take it off to wash, its hard to tell what end is up. I have given up on this and am shopping for another mattress pad.

I have used with other blankets like sherpa throws and other fuzzy blankets. It collects a lot of fuzz and lint from my other products. The pillow cases aren't amazing with fully stuffed/firm pillows; the opening gaps a little bit. Would be fine with soft pillows.
