Boss Black LeatherPlus Executive Chair

I'm in heaven. This chair gets the award for the perfect chair for a very bad back. My back is so bad that I'm disabled. Normally I can't sit for any short period of time. I have been able to work on my crafts today without being so crippled up. I was sooo...HAPPY! The chair has amazing lumbar support built in it and hits me in the proper zone of my back. The LeatherPlus is very buttery soft but seems very durable. I raked it across my texured wall without a rip or scratch on it. I'm loving this chair just after using it in these last 2 days.

It arrived packed in large box intact. My husband was able to put it together in less than 6 minutes. It took him twice as long to remove the chair from it's box due to it is packed in the box tightly with a spongy pad to cushion it in shipping.

The chair is ample in size and very padded. It is like sitting on a cloud! The price was right, too. It was under $225.00 including tax with free shipping with Amazon Prime. I didn't have to pay for one of those over-priced chairs to find relief for my back. I would recommend this chair for anyone that suffers from chronic back pain or just wanting to sit on a cloud in comfort.

I received my chair today, assembled it and tested it out. My immediate comments are the following:

1. Cosmetics: Very nice looking chair. Does look like a chair costing more.

2. The leather Plus is just that, a cross between leather and vinyl, although it does look like Nappa leather, but the feel is not quite the same.

3. Function: This chair DOES Recline. Past reviews said it did not. Those people need to pull out the lever that operates the height (air cylinder). This will unlock and the chair can recline about 25 degrees or so. Adequate for most people and standard for most chairs.

4. Comfort: The chair is very comfortable with adequate padding in the seat and the back. Also has lumbar support which I like. I could sit in this chair for hours. As a professor I work from home quite a bit, so we will see how the back feels.

5. Chair Height: many reviewers mention the chair height as an issue for certain height people. This chair does sit high. I have it on the lowest setting to sit at my desk which is standard height. ON the highest setting I can not use it, it is too high for my legs to fit under the desk. I am 6 feet and the lowest setting is fine for me, but if you are under 5' 6" it may be a problem.

6. QualityRemains to be seen. But since it does not look cheap, and all plastic parts are made from a hard structural plastic, I guess the durability of the chair will last as long as my last one, 12 years, maybe. I'll update this in a few months.

Bottom Line: Go for it! Good chair for the money. However, if you are shorter than 5' 6" this chair may not be for you.

UPDATE: 6/10/2011

I now have had this chair for about six months. It is as good as it was when I bought it. I use it everyday and it is a pleasure to sit in it. The only thing it does do, however, is squeak! Just a little WD40 solves the problem.

This chair arrived well-packaged and protected with a lot of foam insulation around the wheels and metal components. Assembly was quick and simple, as I didn't even need the instructions. All you have to do is put the air lift on the base and place the seat on the air lift, then it's ready to go. The chair has great lumbar support and reaches all the way up to my head, allowing me to rest entirely against it. It's also fairly comfortable, having a few inches of padding, while not being too compliant so as to lack support, making for a pretty good balance that I particularly like. The air lift lever (for raising/lowering the height of the chair) is designed so that when pushed in the chair cannot recline, but if you pull it out slightly, it releases a mechanical lock and allows the chair to recline back about 20-30 degrees.

I got it at a significantly reduced price on Amazon recently and think that it's definitely one of the best designed chairs for the price I got it at (~$150 with free shipping!). I'd recommend this chair personally (this coming from an engineer).

The chair leans back which is nice. Doesn't seem to have too much lean which i don't really like but it's enough to put my feet up on my sub woofer. The leather is very nice quality and it has a built-in lumbar support which feels nice. My only issue with the chair was the first chair i sat in it and a bolt sheered off. But i told amazon and they had my new chair their the next day (same as what i paid for to ship it originally) and they had a ups man there the next day to pick up the broken chair. After that the chair has been flawless and very comfortable. The leather feels less cheap then the leather on my old chair.

This chair is nicely built. It looks elegant and cool. It is easy to clean.

The problem for me is that this is too big.

I am male, 170 cm, 56 kg, that is about 5 foot 7 inches and 123 pounds. I don't feel very comfortable in this chair especially due to the armrest. The armrest is just a few centimeters too high, it pushes my elbow up, and that's annoying.

The part where you sit on is very large, and I seem to "sink" inside it, which worsens the armrest problem.

But I think if you are taller, this should be good. It will be even better if you are both taller and fatter. Maybe if I were 180cm(5 foot 11 inches) 85kg(188 pounds), this chair would be perfect.

First, super fast delivery. It unexpectedly arrived in about two days time. Based on the original sales price, this bedding cost over $600. It is selling on Amazon for over $300. It looked very beautiful and comfortable from both the description and the photo. I thought it would have a nice silky soft feel to it. Imagine my surprise when I opened it and the shams looked like they were made of plastic. The throw is embarrassing ugly and hard (I wouldn't use it as a dog blanket.) It looks like something you would buy for a child. It is inferior to the "bed in a bag" items I've seen at Bed, Bat & Beyond for much lower prices. Very, very disappointed in the overall quality (cheap) and look (cheap). Not worth the price. Buyer beware. There is a reason I'm the only one who has reviewed the item. Ummm...wow...this simply has to be the worst pillow I've ever purchased. I wanted it for two 15 hour one way flights totally useless. The foam is like a solid, hard mass and has zero flexibility or movement. I tried it for 10 minutes on the sofa and in an arm chair similar to the position one would have in an airplane seat. Trying to sleep on this pillow or using it for support on a long flight would assure you a sore neck. It is hard to the touch I've never seen a memory foam that won't give at all. I am returning it immediately and ordering the Z by Malouf travel pillow instead. Should have listened to my husband and purchased the Malouf in the first place!

I thought I needed this product but reconsidered it and returned it. I'm sure it was a great product

Brookstone's SONA anti-snoring pillow really makes a difference. I've been told that I snore loudly when I sleep--by some friends sleeping over who were not exactly happy about it. Anyway, I shopped around and I found this pillow; and it makes all the difference in the world.

It does take some getting used to; the shape of the pillow is downright bizarre the first few times you simply glance at it. However, it manages to keep my head, neck and even my jaw at just the proper angles so that I don't snore and any overnight guests can actually get a night's sleep! I've even been told that I snore so loud that I could wake the dead--but when I use this pillow my overnight guests never complain to me the next morning. The best way to use it is to sleep on your side with your head between one of the two "resting places" as shown in the picture up above on this webpage.

It comes with one pillowcase but if you like this pillow I would get at least one extra pillowcase. In my particular case it's preferable to my having surgery to correct a problem that might cause me to snore; but ask your doctor to find out what's best for you.

As far as sleep apnea is concerned, you should definitely discuss this with your doctor. Sleep apnea can be serious. You can always research sleep apnea on the web, but there's no substitute for discussing this with a doctor who knows your particular circumstances very well.

Overall, this pillow is terrific for me and I highly recommend it for anyone who has a problem with snoring (it can drive even the most loyal of spouses crazy). This pillow can also help people with mild sleep apnea as long as their doctor approves of it for that use.

I have a CPAP--on a top shelf in my closet. I have a dental device for apnea--on a top shelf in my medicine cabinet. I'm not good at sticking to things. I bought this pillow at full price having seen it recommended in a magazine like Prevention, I think. First 3 or 4 nights, I hated it. I paid a lot for it, however, and for a change kept at it. Now I don't want to sleep without it. It works for me--lots of support and the stiff neck subsided. I like the angle at which it keeps my head. If you get it, be SURE you read how to use it. I'd recommend it, although like other things for mild apnea, it takes practice. I don't know if I still snore because my partner can't stay awake long enough to listen!

I have mixed feelings about this pillow, but am still using it so far, so I guess you'd call this a preliminary (and tentatively positive) report after about two weeks. First, it does seem to help with the snoring, although since in my case it's an intermittent allergy-driven problem, I can't swear yet that it's the pillow. Certainly it's very firm, and a little hard to get comfortable on at first, but never so bad that it kept me awake, and improves after a few days of getting used to it. The only real trouble is the stiff neck in the morning, since it's a stretch from the bed to the top of the pillow.

At this point, I'm not sure it was worth the money for me, but you might want to try it if snoring is a serious and consistent problem, because it does seem to help.

I bought this pillow after reading a review in the WSJ about a year ago. My father has always been a notorious snorer and I dreaded the thought of my wife suffering the same plight as my Mom has.

My wife mocked me at first -"it looks like the Flying Nun's habit." (and it does). But we have throw pillows that mask the pillows shape nicely now and the aesthetics have been fine once we figured out that trick.

A year later, and much more restful sleeps for the both of us, she bought another one of them for me on sale this week. Good deal and we both love the results.

I have been a back sleeper for decades -took me about a week to getting used to sleeping on my side which is what this pillow really encourages well. First Apartment Twiggy King Comforter Set

The comforter color scheme is very pretty and unique, but the fabric is thin and cheap. I will not be washing it because I'm afraid it will fall apart or clump together.

I was disappointed to find several ink stains on the comforter. The stains would not come out with a damp cloth.

Ok, so maybe i am a fool, or completely naive, but i thought because the picture include 2 panels, a valence, and 1 tie back, that's what i would be getting. The description is very vague and does not say directly that i would just be getting the 1 long panel. Ok, it says 1 panel in the description, but i figured because the picture showed the one tieback with the set that it was just 1 whole unit, the valence and two side panels were sewn as a single unit. There is no way to buy just the valence from what i could find.

On the other side, the panel is very pretty, the embroidery and color were just what i was looking for, but i only bought 3 for 3 windows (not knowing i should've bought six) thinking i was getting an all-in-1 unit. Sadly i am returning these, the panel alone is not decorative enough for me without the valence and i don't want to try and piece the "whole" set together now. Alera Valencia Series Desk Shell

Very good product. It is very heavy, so for those buying it, make sure to have a friend near by. But the weight also shows how good it is. Has a real nice finish and the package comes with it's own scratch repair stick. Directions are a little iffy, but once you look at it and lay everything out in front of you, it is put together very quick, had mine up in five minutes using my own tools. It has lots of top space and lots of leg and/or room for other stuff below it. Its really built for an office, but I use it at home, for drawer space, I just put a file cabinet, roughly 27in to 28in under it and it fits well and hold all my crap.

One point to make though, amazon does not ship this themselves through normal means, because it is office funiture, they give it to another company similar to fed x, ups, etc, and if they deliver into residential, it will cost more. Since I work retail, I just made arrangements to meet driver at my store and put it into the back of my car and saved a hefty shipping charge =D. Very nice and quick.

This desk is very sturdy, and very heavy. High quality appearance it looks much more expensive than it is.

Assembly was very easy. It's slightly more difficult if you're doing it without help, but still doable. If you go that route, ignore the instructions where it tells you to assemble it upside down and flip it once you're done. Instead just assemble it right side up much easier.

Initially I was disappointed that there isn't as much legroom as I thought there would be. The desk has 36 inches of depth, but only about 20 inches of legroom. But it hasn't been an issue.

Would highly recommend.

This is a fantastic desk. It looks very professional. It looks like I spent way more money than I did on this desk. I am amazed by the quality for the price. The desk is very heavy and does require at least 2 people to set it up and move it though.

The shipping company didn't take care in their shipment process and damaged part of the wood under the desk that fortunately doesn't show.

I recommend it for a very nice simple looking desk for home or work.

Luckily the desk survived the trip via UPS freight undamaged, luckily. I do think the packaging could use a little beefing up if they are going to continue to ship it that way however.

Assembly was fairly easy and straight forward, though at the end when you mate the top to the rest of the desk, it was very helpful, perhaps even necessary, to have an assistant to get it all lined up.

Once assembled it very sturdy, and looks great.

This pillow brings a warm punch of color to a very neutrally colored living room. The colors shown on my monitor matched the real thing exactly. I've had this for over a year and it has held up very well. It's not very tall, but it's perfect for lower back support. I didn't buy it for the support though, it goes really well on my tan colored furniture really finishes off the room. I mixed this pillow up with 2 Brentwood Originals Squares and Rectangles 18-Inch Knife Edge Pillow, Spice they go great together!

This pillow is color accurate to the website picture; which is great because it matches my couch well.

It is also size accurate, 24x12. It feels like it's full of cotton and holds to be about 8-10 inches thick without pressure being put on it.

If you need a decent decorative pillow that is functional if you want to put your head down; pick up one of these!

This is a wonderful, soft and fluffy pillow that is very nap-worthy. The colors are a little deeper and more muted than they appeared on my monitor. One of the brown stripes is almost green, which works with the chair I have it on. Only problem is a cat that thinks it is her personal bed, and doesn't want to give it up! Great value for the money.

I've had the same buckwheat pillows for years and my husband and I love them. I made the mistake of trying to wash my husbands and it fell apart. The pillow itself is wonderful. I even take it when traveling. I have arthritis very bad and this pillow helps a lot. You do have to get used to the noise, but after that you will love it. I purchased my first pillows from Natures pillows,Inc. I bought the 20x15 and it fit the standard size pillow cases. I just ordered the same pillow size from amazon and I couldn't believe how small the pillow was. I sew and I measured the pillow and it was 17x13. The person who made these pillows needs to learn how to measure. It is so small that it doesn't even fit in the pillow case. The pillows are great it's the size that you have to watch out for. We just kept the pillow, because I got a good deal on the price, but will go back to Natures Pillows, Inc to purchase more.

When I read that they had standard pillow size and queen I thought the standard was a new improved normal sized pillow but it's not. I've owned the travel sized pillow for over 5 years now and I can't sleep on anything else. (The travel-sized one just fits your head comfortably.)I've taken it to youth camps, sleep-overs, trips and I would still sleep on it every night. If I had to do it over again, I would have bought this brand for our King-Size mattress as well. We paid an arm and a leg for it at Bed Bath and Beyond. I would recommend this companies products for any one trying to control bed bugs.

We cured our bed bug problem by spreading diatomaceous earth around the room to keep them in the bedroom and all around the edge of the bed emphasizing the base of the bedframe. I slept in the bed because I do not react to their bites like my wife does. I laid a sheet on the top of the mattress cover and rolled up the edges and then put a layer of diatomaceous earth (organic D.E. from Amazon to avoid the silicates in pool-grade diatomaceous earth, purchased at Home Depot)at the edges of the sheet so they had to crawl over diatomaceous earth to get to me. We used standard diatomaceous earth on the floor. I washed the sheets in hot water every morning as soon as I got up. It was a dusty mess for 6-7 weeks but we could track the number of bed bugs decreasing until they finally stopped. I kept up the routine for a couple of more weeks and we finally backed off. We purchased Beddy Bug bait(VCM products, sold by Amazon) to see if we saw any more bed bugs and we haven't seen any since.

I bought this box spring encasesment because of all the good reviews, and unfortunatley it appears to have not worked for me. However, this does not mean that it's a bad set, therefore I am giving it a fair review and a note to buyers:

Be Mindful of Air Pockets When you put this on your box spring, do not zip it up all the way untill you are sure it is on as tight as can be. An air pocket left over when zippering this thing up can cause it to "pop" when you lay your mattress on-top of it. Perhaps there were instructions that came with it warning you of this, but I just don't recall this. Stupidly, I should have returned it upon hearing the "pop" but I didn't, so that part of it is on me.

Therefore, had I put this on correctly, perhaps I wouldn't be having a problem now however I hope that this review helps you. It may be a good product, its just that you need to be careful how you put it on, and do not use it for "low profile" box springs.

The two stars I took off were for a lack of warning / instruction on how to put it on a thinner box spring.

The three stars I did give are because it seemes like a good product, and I think it would work if put on correctly but can't be sure in my case.

I purchased this product together with a queen mattress encasement.

When I purchased my mattress and box spring I wanted to buy encasements to protect them against liquids and bed bugs ( I traveled a lot, so just in case I bring one home). At the store where I purchased my mattress, they were going to charge me almost $100 bucks for the mattress encasement and $80 for the box spring encasement, so I decided to look online first. The sales person recommended me this brand over other brands that they carry because he said that this one had a micro zipper and a closing feature that prevented the zipper to accidentally open. The mattress and the box spring encasement are almost identical, the only difference is that the mattress encasement has cotton terry surface and the box spring doesn't, but the sales person explained to me that they do that to save you money since you won't sleep on top of the box spring anyway. So that's why the box spring encasement is cheaper than the mattress one.

Not to make this review too long, I ended up saving money buying the products here on amazon ( I know, as I mentioned on my other review I feel bad for that helpful sales guy, but what can I do?!)

Anyways, I am fully satisfied with my decision and I feel safe about my mattress too.

I bought the box encasement for my mattress and was worried that A) it wouldn't fit, and B) it would rip while I was putting it on. Neither happened! It's this wonderful stretchy material and it went on pretty easily. You open it all the way up like a book and fit it around the box encasement (or in my case, the mattress). I was pretty surprised! But my body wasn't made for exercise so I was of course exhausted after putting it on that I just fell onto the bed.

Cervical Pillow - Firm / Standard - Foam

My husband is used to a "standard" cervical pillow but this one is way to far on the firm side to be anywhere near the standard he is used to sleeping on. We'd like to try the soft one, but are hesitant because of the firmness of this one.

I truly need support for my neck, I have limited motion and chronic pain on my left side. If I don't get firm support

I will have shooting pains into my head, and become very disoriented.

The soft and gentle and medium firmness core foam, as an option is not good for me, but the firm is perfect, and the support is

amazing. It lasted I would say about 9 months, and now the foam broke down so I need a new one. I did try the extra firm side and

it's not right for me at all, and causes too much pain, so this pillow does give options, which is awesome.

I am fully pleased and will buy another one, for me choosing the firm core foam insert. But, the pillow comes with different core foams

that you can experiment with to see which fits.

I have also bought pillows for 70.00 and though they "looked" like they would do the job, didn't at all. This one is perfect, give

it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Only drawback is the foam breaks down too fast. For me I don't mind replacing it, but if you are on a budget you might want to do

more research
