I loved a pillow used at a Holiday Inn Express prompted me to order one for myself. Unfortunately I didn't know if the one I'd used was soft or medium, so I ordered a medium. It was, to me, much firmer than what I'd expected a medium firmness pillow to be. I didn't keep it.

The Comfort Revolution Memory Foam & Hydraluxe Cooling Bed Pillow arrived beautifully packaged in great condition. The odor associated with foam pillows was not very strong and soon went away after proper airing. The pillow starts out wonderfully cool and I had high hopes that this one would actually work. The pillow slowly lost its cool over a period of hours and by morning seemed hotter than my "old regular memory foam pillows". I will keep this one and enjoy the cool I do get and hope that someday I will find one that "stays cool all night".

I found this pillow at a very discounted price at our local Costco in June, 2012 (so shop around!) Yes, it does smell. Yes, you need to follow the directions that came with the pillow. It needs to air out for 72hrs. I'm sensitive to smells, so I gave it a week. It comes with its own pillowcase and that's the one you have to use, otherwise you won't get the cooling effect. This pillow is so fantastic for summertime! I sleep on my side and my husband sleeps on his back. We both got a pillow and both love it. My quality of sleep improved dramatically. Best pillow I've ever owned, hands down.

I cannot say enough good things about this pillow. It is like sleeping on a cool marshmallow. Contours perfectly to my neck so it stays straight whether I'm on the side or back. Don't be alarmed if it smells a bit chemical-ish when it first comes out of the box. It just needs to air out a bit and it will dissapate. Awesome product.

I too bought mine at Costco. I must say I also read the directions, left it in a well ventilated area for 72 hours. NO smell at all. My head is no longer hot at night. This is the most comfortable pillow I have ever slept on and I am not exaggerating.

My husband bought one after we tried mine first. Same thing no smell after airing out.

I have back and neck injuries, so a good pillow is a necessity for me. This one came highly recommended by a TV doctor, so I thought it would be fabulous.

The cooling gel is very cool....for about 5 minutes. Then the pillow soaks up your body heat and holds onto it. I had to move my head around constantly to find the cool side. Not cool. Maybe I just have a really heavy head, but it also flattened during the night. No support at all.

I'm not sure where all the rave reviews are coming from, but I finally gave up after about 3 months of waking up in a pool of sweat. My boyfriend only used his for 3 days, and I think that was just because he didn't know how to tell me it sucked. This pillow does not do what it says it does. I've used memory foam for years, but never had this kind of issue.

I love the initial coolness of the gel, but until they can find a way to make that feeling last, this pillow is a waste of your hard earned money.

My old pillow is so worn out I have to fold it in half to sleep on it, so I went pillow shopping.

Tried the Organic Buckwheat Pillow just could not get used to it, and the beans inside are somewhat noisy no matter how still you are. You can hear them with the slightest movement.

Then I bought a special memory foam 'side sleeper' pillow soft, but too thick for me. Bit of an odor too.

So now I have this Green Tea pillow. Amazon was sold out when I placed the order so had to wait awhile, but it's soft, low profile, and I'm sleeping well. Have yet to smell green tea but that's hardly a drawback. Think this one is a keeper.

I see Amazon is sold out yet again. I can see why.

COOLING TEMPERATURE REGULATING PILLOWS-STANDARD

This pillow is my "buddy". After going through breast cancer, chemo and then having to take Tamoxifen, it put me into menopause early. I wasn't ready for the night sweats and hot flashes. I wasn't sleeping well and waking through the night. I saw these pillows on Dr. Oz and thought why not? I ordered one and delivery was quick.

It doesn't totally keep you cool but it definitely helps cool the night sweats and hot flashes faster. I would recommend it to any cancer survivors on Tamoxifen and going through menopause.

This pillow does nothing to give you a cool sleep. My head sweats as much as ever. I knew this was going to be the case when I saw the tag 100% Polyester Fiber. Hello. Polyester does not breathe. This pillow is a total waste of money.

Newpoint International 200-Thread Count Cotton, Gel Filled Mattress Pad

The fill on this cover runs down the length of the bed in long chambers. Unfortunately two of the chambers on the cover I received were nearly empty at the bottom. The difference in chambers is obvious and it's impossible to spread out the fill to even it out. Even so, the cover makes a HUGE difference and I no longer feel like I need to replace the mattress.

I really don't get this product. It is advertised as gel filled but it just seems like normal cheap filling to me. Washing it results in lumpy padding. The reviews that are claiming that this pad makes a big difference to the softness of their mattress either received a different pad than I received or the reviews are bogus. If I had it to do again, I would spend a little more and get a better quality mattress pad.

Ahhhh. Can you say comfort? The pad is not just a thin piece of material between the sheet and the bed; it is a thick gel padding, like adding another pillow top to the mattress, a cross between gel and memory foam -memory gel.

The gel is evenly distributed throughout the mattress pad and provides a nice, sinkable loft to the bed. The pad fits nicely on our deep mattress. My husband is in charge of changing sheets and he said he did not have to struggle with this pad, it's easy to put on. Even better than that? It's machine washable!

I bought this product since I believe sleeping on a real silk pillowcase keeps my skin from wrinkling, my hair from getting static plus overal it`s just a really nice, soft, luxurious feeling to sleep on a silk pillowcase. I thought the price was great for a product of this quality. The case comes in a really nice package, great as a gift idea. Unfortunately the color of the shown picture doesn`t really match the color in real life. The pillowcases I received are much more yellowish. Ok for me, it`s a color that does go with the rest of my beddings, but if you are really keen on the right colors, please be aware.

This was a little expensive for what I got. It came quickly, but it doesn't quite "feel" like a department store one would. I was expecting it to be slightly thicker and though I've confirmed it's silk, I at first wondered if it was satin because it was kind of thin. That being said, I can't see through it, and I don't really know just how thick it should or shouldn't be. My hair has honestly been looking better after using this, though I bought it so that I could reduce the pillow lines on my face that I always seem to have when arriving places in the morning because I leave myself so little time to get ready.

I don't know yet if it will help with my dry hair in the long run, but these pillowcases are so soft and pretty I wouldn't give them up anyway. The price is right for this quality. I sink wash them, hang them off of clipped slacks hangers to drip dry, and an hour later they're dry and virtually wrinkle free. The champagne color works well with my chocolate brown cotton sheets and colonial blue down blanket.

This pillow has a nice texture, and it very smooth on my face. It does not irritate my skin like normal pillows, which caused my face to break out. With the silk pillowcase, my acne is under control.

This pillow is very good quality. My 2 year old loves it and carries it around with him everywhere. It's taken a lot of abuse and has been washed many times yet the stitching, colors and shape are still in excellent condition. I was a bit surprised at the size of the pillow when I first received it. I didn't see any size dimensions when I ordered it so I was expecting it to be a similar size to other 'toddler' pillows I've seen in stores. It is approx 12 in x 9 in and it's a bit over-stuffed. My son prefers to snuggle with it instead of lay his head on it so I ended up buying another slightley larger and flatter pillow for him to sleep on. But all in all it is a great price for a quality product.

This pillow was not at all what I expected. Note to self, read the product description carefully and ask questions if necessary. Doh! I didn't notice one very important piece of information in the product description. Something that would have made me think "huh!" Do you see it? I'll give you a hint, it's in the Product Details section. See it now? The pillow weighs six pounds. Yes, 6 lbs! Subtract for the carboard box and it's still a heavy pillow.

This thing is a brick lol. Well, I'm kidding of course; it's softer than a brick. It's not nearly as soft as I needed though. My head barely made a dent in it. My neck was sore from being flexed all night because the pillow wasn't giving way. Suffices to say it is a very firm pillow.

In all fairness to this brick...err pillow, it did appear to be well made; probably too well hahah! It has a quilted, light mocha cover that is removeable for washing.

I wanted to like it but there was just no way I could get comfortable on a pillow that is so heavy and firm. I returned mine.

One other FYI, this pillow is sold and fulfilled by Sleep Central. They would not pay the return shipping. The pillow is very heavy and the box is "oversized" per USPS. Return shipping cost me $14.00 from Arizona.

We splurged on a Frette duvet cover recently that has this particular shade of lavender/lilac in it and were trying to find an accent pillow that would match. This is very pretty and goes well with the bedding, which I was happy about since the color that appears on screen isn't always true to the actual product. Have only had this a month, and believe it is a well made product. The problem with these mattress manufacturers and all the different "model names" makes it very difficult to find the same mattress for a test drive. Be careful ordering a mattress online unless you have a tolerance to the mattress not being exactly what you want. This mattress IS listed as "plush firm", I would rate it as "very firm". Even with the gargantuan pillow top it's quite firm. The other annoyance is the overall thickness, regardless of a 6 inch or 9 inch box spring, plan on this mattress being extremely high. I'm 6'4" and my feet just touch the floor when sitting on the edge, my wife needs a step, seriously! Unless you're putting this on the floor plan on lots of elevation!

The pillow cases are too narrow for most pillows which changes the feel of the pillow (makes it stiffer and not shapable). I think I am going to look for thicker sheets with less thread count...obviously thread count isn't everything.

Spine Reliever Deluxe Body Pillow

Before buying this pillow, I was the happy owner of a 5 foot long body pillow. Alas, my old pillow was filled with down, and the little feather tips were constantly poking out through the ticking fabric.

I find this pillow to be more comfortable since it's not stuffed with down. It's also an easier size to deal with when not in use.

It's deep enough so that my knees really sink into it, very important. Some body pillows just don't have enough stuffing; after a few nights, they're flat!

I highly recommend this pillow. I rarely rate items but took a moment out to create this review in case it helps out other people with sleep problems.

I received this Buxnie Jobri Body pillow from them 2 days later than expected. I understand these things happen. However, they sent me a dirty pillow. Will return with an updated review after I have used it for some time....

I have now used this pillow for a few months. To be fair, the Shipper did attempt to reach me and rectify the situation and send out a new pillow. I had already washed the dirty one I had originally received, so I decided to keep it.

That being said, the description states that the pillow is a cover encasing the poly fiber fill. It is the same poly fill you would find in stuffed animals and sometimes other pillows. I also purchased a real pillow cover to go over it. Be warned though: if you are planning on washing the cover, you will have to remove ALL of the poly fiber fill. It is a time consuming task and the poly fiber fill gets EVERYWHERE, including the floor, clothing, furniture, etc. There is a clean-up afterward since it can not be avoided to wash the cover. Apparently the poly fiber fill IS machine washable, however, a standard home washing machine will not be able to handle a huge 65 in. long body pillow to do the job. I am not sure if an industrial one may, but lugging it to Laundromat would be a pain. Also, it would probably pricey to send it to the dry cleaners.

Since I have been using the pillow for 3 months now, there are some additional issues to point out. The pillow is comfy and provided adequate height for me to sleep on my left side during pregnancy. However, after a couple weeks, the poly fiber fill began to lose its fluffiness and height. It became flatter and flatter. So I went to Michael's and purchased some more Poly fill for $9 or so. I added 1 bag of poly fill, and that seemed to do the trick. After a couple more weeks, it began to lose its height and get flat again. I am considering buying more poly fill and stuff it even more so it stays fluffy and provided adequate lift.

It is a super comfy pillow when it is filled and is comfortable to stay in a side sleeping position during pregnancy. I still wonder if there are any body pillows out there that do not have this problem though.

After having this Jobri pillow for two months, I noticed the filling beginning to deteriorate significantly. Up near the ends it was still firm, but in top and bottom 1/3 and in the middle, it was so loose and saggy it might as well have been a regular ol' pillow (and there's no way to shake it fuller/adjust it etc). After four months, it might as well be a wadded-up blanket. Rather than spend the $50-60 on a replacement pillow, I just went to Target and bought their $9.99 body pillow. It's not perfect if you lay it flat, but lay it on its side and, well, you have the same effect as a new Jobri spine-reliever deluxe wahoo whatever pillow.

I will say that the length of the Jobri pillow is nice (I'm 5'11" and can still hug it up front and down by my feet). The roundness is nice, because it helps the inevitable shoulder pain of a hyper-extended reach. But all of these things are easily solved by the Target Body Pillow, set on its side. For $9.99. And as soon as it starts to go limpy, you can easily buy a new one.

I would never again pay any more than $10 for this Jobri pillow. What a bother. Buy the Target pillow. I'm smacking myself for not doing that sooner.

I bought this pillow after an Amazon search for a Jobri Spine Reliever Deluxe. I've only had the pillow for a short time. The pillow I received is the correct size and shape and seems as if it might fill the bill, but I don't believe it's an actual Jobri brand Spine Reliever Deluxe. I've had previous experience with Jobri, and this pillow has none of the hallmarks (wasn't in a Jobri bag, has no brand label at all on the pillow or on the plastic bag it was sent in, and no Jobri warranty). I doubt I would have paid this much if I'd understood it wasn't a Jobri, but it's a big hassle to return, so I'll keep it and hope it lasts and works for the purpose for which I bought it. It was shipped quickly and very well packed, so no complaints about delivery.

I purchased this topper in the 1st part of January. It is comfortable to sleep on and the "chemical" odor disappeared within 24 hours of airing. The downside to the mattress is, it does not hold up to active sleeping. The topper is splitting in two areas. I would have expected it to hold together longer than two months.

I bought the 4" version of the 4-lb mattress topper about 2 years ago. After about a year or 1.5 years of use, it started seriously deteriorating.

Finally today (after months of putting up with lying in "crevasses" of broken mattress pad) we threw it out. It was falling apart into chunks that looked just like crumbly sponge-cake; the only way it even held together enough for us to even carry it out was by carrying it rolled up in a sheet.

I was hoping it would last longer than this. Although it was comfortable while it lasted, I would not buy a Serta brand memory foam mattress topper again.

I bought the 4" version of this. The pad opened nicely over a few hours and the odor dissipated within a day or two. So far so good.

The idea of memory foam is that when you press it down, it stays pressed for a while. But apparently not all visco-elastic (memory foams) are created equal. There are shades of grey, from old-fashioned bounce-right-back foams at one end to high quality viscoelastics which take a long time to bounce back from impressions, and retain that property in use. The market leader in this field (starts with a "T") claims they have a proprietary process to manufacture the foam which gives it a slow recovery and a long service life. I had assumed this was marketing hype, but after using this Serta-labeled topper, I am more ready to believe it may be true.

This product is in the middle; it starts out with a modest memory property, somewhere in-between true viscoelastic and the old bouncy stuff. It's nice to sleep on, I like it, and I recommend it, especially at the low price. But it's not real memory foam. And note that one website which sells this Serta brand has the following warning: "Due to the nature of Memory Foam the firmness level of every item is unique. Please be advised that even similar products may produce different firmness results." What? Every item unique? We expect that from buying strawberries, but not manufactured products.

My conclusion is that the most reliable high quality memory foam on the market is probably that very expensive "T" stuff, and to get that effect there is no other choice. This topper item is not bad at all. You may like it as an improvement over what you have now, and it costs way less. But don't expect it to have the same strong permanent viscoelastic property.

I actually bought this mattress on overstock for about 79 dollars...make sure you buy one size up then cut the excess with a sharp kitchen knife. This topper is not too soft, not too firm. If you have bad joints from RA or some other medical condition, I would highly recommend a memory foam topper. It relieves any pressure off the joint so that you don't "feel" the mattress underneath you.
