I initially ordered a bigger buckwheat pillow a few months ago, and although I loved it, I can see why they make them in this smaller size. My hubby stole the bigger one and he loves it! So I just ordered this smaller one and it fits my head much better and is more comfortable for me. It does take a little getting used to because they sound crunchy, but it's worth it! I have severe neck and spinal issues and if I don't get the proper support from my pillow, my limbs all go numb. This pillow allows you to form it to your liking, and this particular brand is awesome because you can unzip it to add or subtract the hulls if you need to. I actually took a little out of my smaller one and put them into the hubby's bigger one. This smaller size seemed to be a bit fuller for it's size compared to the bigger one.
Also, hubby has severe allergies. Since he's been using this, he doesn't wake up all stuffed up! Pretty cool!!
Love the zipper. I needed to remove some of the filling to get it just right for me and this pillow actually allowed that, as opposed to some other brands.

Was not sure if this was the way to go. Didn't want to spend the money for a full size pillow that I might not end up using. So, I ordered this smaller size thinking that if I liked it, I could take it when I travel. Have problems getting my neck in the correct position when I sleep because I have cervical degeneration of my neck. This can put my neck is a perfect position. Takes a little to get used to the crackling noise of the buckwheat, but then when you are relaxed that is not a problem. I am enjoying this little pillow and will probably eventually also get a larger one. Incidently, the head of dental at one of the larger medical centers says that his patients tell him the buckwheat pillow is the way to go!! That is how we heard about it.

First the good: very comfortable sleeping on it. Although not as plush as a memory foam pillow It gave me a better sleep with no morning neck stiffness that the memory foam pillow did.
The Bad: After weighing the pillow its only about 3lb and not 5lb as it says in the product description. Also even though its the same size as my memory foam pillow its alot smaller due to the lack of plushness. but overall a good buy.
