Brentwood 18-Inch Mongolian Faux Fur Pillow

I ordered in chocolate. The color was just as represented. For the price, and considering I actually wanted something that looked intentionally faux-ish, this is a great little pillow. We call it 'the yak'. It's furry on one side, a suede-like material on the other. The reason I can't give it more stars is due to a very chemical, near toxic smell that was very overpowering immediately after opening. Hopefully it will fade. But handling it too much makes my skin feel creepy and I definitely don't want to put it near my face and breathe deeply. It's that stinky. Since no one else reported this problem, I will assume I just got a bad one or that it was housed near something chemical-y at the warehouse. Otherwise is a very economical, whimsical piece.

The pillows are a good value for the price. However, they look cheap and not luxurious at all. You can definitely tell it FAUX. Some faux fur pillows actually look and feel luxurious, but these pillows are not the quality I was looking for.

I was pretty disappointed when I received this pillow. The first thing I noticed was the size. MUCH smaller than expected I measured it as 16 inches and that was just barely. And of course, as many other commenters have said, it's definitely not white. It's cream or ivory, which I knew and accepted going in. The color would not have been an issue at all if the fur had been nice and softbut my pillow just looked (and felt) kind of sad and dirty. The faux fur was VERY scraggly looking, and had a sticky feel to it. Mine was also very stringy and tangledmatted like a wet dog. I tried to comb it into submission with my fingers, but it never seemed to resemble anything other than a sad old stuffed animal sitting on my couch.

On the bright side, Amazon was amazing at handling the return! High five for exceptional customer service.

The pillow is nice but I purchased in what they say is white and it is not white. It is more of an ivory color.

Usually when I buy a faux fur, it's kind of stiff and has a disagreeable texture. I bought these pillows with the same thought in mind but wanted the faux fur look for my decorator pillows on my loveseat. The pillows were packed very carefully and the faux fur was so much softer than I expected. I run my hand on them evertime I walk past them. The faux fur was very easy to sculpt into my desired look with my hand. For the little money I paid for them, (around $19.00) I would have expected less than I got. These pillows feel better in quality than $35.00 faux fur pillows I saw in a store. I definatly recommend this product as a decorator product. I wouldn't keep this product, (or any faux fur product) around children as they tend to pull the fur out.
