I bought this for my daughter because a friend had loaned us her Cloud B Ladybug which is similar but does not play music. I chose the frog because it was more fitting to my childs interests and room color scheme but also b/c I thought it a better value due to the fact that it plays music and sounds. I am very pleased with my purchase. It has a few soothing lullabies and a few noiseswaves, rainforest sound complete with rain, frogs and birds, and finally white noise. It has a button under the velcro on the bottom that can control the volume with three different settings. I will say that cloud B seeemed to be a little better quality and I liked the buttons better on the cloud B but I feel the sound capabilities made up for it and it is not a concerning lack of quality. The button for the sound is kind of awkward and hard to push but not terrible. My daughter loves it and I highly reccomend it.
I am much more impressed with this item for a few reasons.
With this Frog, there are three sound levels. Very low, medium and louder, operated by a switch in the back under velcro. You can use this for either the heart wooshing, nature sounds or the music.
First, it plays music. There are four different song choices, music, (not singing). Everybody has their own preference, so I am sure some will like one song and some will like others.
Second, it plays two different nature sounds. OCEAN WAVES or the BABBLING STREAM w/ BIRDS. Personally, I like the stream w/ birds.
It also has a heartbeat sound. Sort of like a woosh woosh. I don't care for it but some might.
Reason for four stars instead of five -Music sounds like it has a little bit of static in background, not much, but a little. Wish it had a couple of more nature sounds and wish it had more than two lights. This is all nitpicking, just stating my reason.
There may be others out there of different brands, but I'm happy with this one and so are the kids.
So you have a choice of lights only, lights with heartbeat, or lights with music, or lights with nature sounds, or heartbeat only, or music only, or nature sounds only.
It gives you three different colored lights, except I can only tell the difference between two. If you click once you get blue, second time it is red and to me, click again it is blue, click fourth time, lights off. (same as the CloudB, and please note the CloudB ladybug had no music or sounds). Sorry, this review will seem like I am only comparing the two, and that is exactly what I am doing.

Our five year old has had a heck of a time sleeping in her own bed let alone putting herself to sleep without someone staying with her until she falls asleep. With a new baby on the way, it was extremely important that we get this under control. We put the Slumber Buddies, Frog on our registry and let our daughter open it to see how it worked. She loved it! Three different colors: red, blue, and green (NOTE: the red is not as bright/pronounced as the other two); a starry night illuminates the room; lullabies; nature sounds; three different volume levels (although the lowest is still a bit loud for my taste); and automatic shut off. Perfect for a new baby!However, with our daughter so reluctant to sleep in her room, I decided to let her borrow her brother's frog one night and was completely and utterly amazed at what happened. We turned on the frog's light (blue is her favorite) and the third lullaby (also her favorite). I laid with her and we pretended to point out different planets for a few minutes. Then I kissed her and told her it was time for me to leave. There were no tears, there was no getting out of bed, and when I checked on her later, she was out cold. AND she didn't wake up in the middle of the night! We have successfully gotten her to stay in her bed every night since letting her use this to aid her in falling asleep. In fact, I ordered her her own Slumber Buddies, Butterfly which will be here in a couple of days. What started out as a cute idea for a nightlight for our baby boy's turtle and frog themed room turned out to be a true lifesaver for our older child. I could not be happier with this purchase! Summer Infant, once again, knocks it out of the park!

This is such a cute little thing! It is much smaller than what I had imagined, but I guess if it were any bigger, it would take up too much space.It provides 3 different colors of stars on the ceiling: Blue, Amber, & green. We use the blue most of the time because it seems to provide the brightest light. The music is not the usual type of lullabies and there are several different ones to choose from. It also has 2 different 'white noise' options.
We keep this in my infant sons room, but my older girls LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! It really would be great for a child who is afraid of the dark. The batteries have lasted us a very long time. It DOES have to be pretty close to the ceiling to provide the 'Starry Night' effect. We put it on a shelf. The only thing that could make this better is to have a stronger light to make it a little brighter (or maybe have a 'bright/dim' setting). And a remote turn off would be great too!
