J-Life International say on their website that their buckwheat hulls are organic, not imported (so not fumigated), and are twice-cleaned. Surprising how the buckwheat actually molds to your body. Just remember: according to their website, use the neckroll by itself, not together with the larger pillow, and use it while sleeping on your back. It's actually very comfortable!

Many years ago, in the 1980s, I bought a futon at a shop that happened to sell cylindrical buckewheat hull pillows. I bought one, and over the years, began using it as a packable travel pillow.

For a back sleeping, these cylindrical pillows support the neck without lifting the head out of alignment with the back. They are compact, and comfortable. I was happy to find a replacement for my old (and now quite worn) pillow. This J-Life pillow is smaller round than my old pillow, but still needed to have some buckwheat hulls removed to find the right comfort and support level.

I initially tried a more standard-shaped buckwheat pillow, which works well enough, but is heavy and cumbersome.

I used these types of pillows before but this one is very small. It should support the back of the neck while sleeping on your back. This pillow is a good quality and well made but small. It is also very expensive!

What can I say? It's a bedrest. Covered in fake fur. From a fake turquoise zebra, I suppose. It does the job and it does it well has a handle to drag it wherever one wishes to collapse, firm stuffing to support the back, unbelievably soft plush covering, and no side-pockets (since my dogs would undoubtedly chew them off, that's a plus for me). I LOVE IT. It's quirky and cozy and fun all at the same time. I mean, it's turquoise and black zebra fur. How can you go wrong with that?

This was exactly what I was looking for. I like to read in bed and this offers the support for my back I was wanting. The color was a little wild for my taste but for the price I am very happy with the product.

I am a procrastinator.

I am now and always have been. You will benefit slightly since I have been sleeping on this topper for almost nine months and I, naturally, procrastinated in writing this review.

So it should come as no surprise that I waited much too long to change my old-as-dirt, lumpy, taco-shaped torture chamber masquerading as a mattress. I knew that I did not want to purchase a mattress that included springs in any form so my choices were rather limited. After many, many hours of research and reading any and every review I could find, I finally decided on a generic memory foam mattress from the big box store that was available on their website. In an effort to provide full disclosure I will say the memory foam was my second choice behind a 100% organic latex mattress but spending thousands on a mattress is something I wasn't willing to do at the time so I had to settle for second best. It was easier doing so knowing I was also purchasing this topper at the same time.

I was surprised when the box arrived since it was smaller than a keg of beer. I pulled out the topper which was enclosed in what looked like a black trash bag. I realized it was vacuum-sealed and carefully removed the black bag layer under which was another plastic covering. So I again begin to carefully remove this wrapping and if I had not had the same experience with the memory foam mattress a few days earlier would have scared myself with how quickly this thing expands and tries to come out of the wrapping once the seal is broken and air is returned to the topper.

I plopped it on the mattress as fast as I could and let it return to form. The first thing I noticed was the smell which is familiar since I own a latex pillow but there was also another smell which was rather chemical-like and I assumed it was from either the plastic packaging or the vacuum process itself. However, it wasn't overwhelming and dissipated fully in a couple of days. I then took stock of the topper itself and was rather displeased as to its aesthetics. There were two, albeit smallish, black smudges of some sort on the topper (which remain to this day). Secondly, and most unappealing, was the entire left side of the topper looked like it had been cut out of a king size to fit on a queen bed. The topper is comprised of what I refer to as "zones". The outer perimeter contains uniform holes from the manufacturing process. Inside of this perimeter is another "zone" without any uniform holes, just the natural ones made by the air bubbles released during the molding process. The inner zone is again full of the uniform holes which from what I understand help to keep the air circulating while sleeping. The "zoned" nature of the mattress made the hack job glaringly obvious and for the price I paid I certainly expected different. I suppose it wouldn't have been such a big deal if they would of at least cut it straight but there is an inch overhang on the bottom where the cut got misaligned.

Having said all this, I'm sure you're wondering how in the world I determined this product deserved 5 stars after the problems I incurred. Simply, this topper has changed my life. From the very first night till present, I get rejuvenating rest each and every time I lay down to sleep. I sincerely had no idea just how poorly I was sleeping until I woke up after my first nights sleep on this topper and had not a single body ache or pain and I was wide awake and lacking any brain fog like I normally experience when I first lumber out of bed. I was so excited but being the consummate cynic I chalked it up to my old mattress being so bad that anything newer would certainly feel heavenly. But night after night and morning after morning I continue to experience the same wondrous feeling. I utterly dislike having to sleep anywhere other than my own bed because I am inevitably going to wake up cranky, tired, and sore no matter the newness or type of mattress I sleep on.

Natural latex has this incredibly unique property of being soft to the point of feeling almost buoyant and weightless while also being supportive and cradling the contours of the body. And if you want to be truly amazed, just search the web for latex mattresses that are still around from the 50's, 60's, and 70"s! Latex's durability is unparalleled which is why I felt justified in spending so much on this topper. It feels nothing like even the most expensive, top of the line memory foam mattress I previously thought I wanted. Memory foam uses body heat to soften and conform to your curves and in doing so retains that heat as synthetic materials aren't normally breathable. It also takes a bit for memory foam to return to its shape so you often find yourself slipping into the same spot you just tried to roll out of. This latex topper is natural and breathable which allows for proper air circulation and for someone who flips the pillow over just to get to the cold side this was a very important priority in my comfort. Also, the latex springs up instantaneously when pressure is removed so there is no falling into the same body hole over and over.

My topper was received with an International Latex sticker on it meaning the Talalay manufacturing process was used. This information should be clearly defined in the description as Talalay and Dunlop processes are distinctly different and therefore create a different end product that the buyer should be made aware of. I would have been less hesitant to buy if I would have known this was an International Latex product.

The last thing I would like to point out is that natural latex is hypoallergenic, anti-microbial and mildew, mold and dust mite resistant. There is no off-gassing like with synthetic latex and memory foam and no petrochemicals so it's green and eco-friendly. Also, utilizing a rubber tree's sap doesn't harm the tree which makes it a sustainable resource.

If you've read this far I applaud your efforts and will spare you further grief as I could actually go on and on about the information I have learned and how crazy I am for natural latex sleep products. I cannot recommend a natural latex topper or mattress enough.

I am no stranger to latex I have a latex / foam mattress on our guest bed and futon and latex toppers over firm eco foam for my bed and our King guest bed. Of all of the latex products we have used in our home I must say that this topper is the best, as well as a great value! The topper is everything other "5 star" reviewers said it is: superior organic talalay latex; the medium firm is not squishy nor overly firm but it is "jiggly" and that is a good thing; and there was absolutely no smell! I was able to lay this out on my mattress and make the bed right away and Wow is it comfortable! And the best part it arrived in less than a week. It should be noted that there are irregularities and that if you are not careful, latex will tear. However, this is very normal for uncovered latex and if you want a cover, you can always purchase one a lot less expensively than purchasing covered latex. My topper came with very slight irregularities, but these were very insignificant, and far fewer than I have experienced with the other toppers I have purchased from other vendors over the years. All in all this topper is a phenomenal product!

Our six year old pillow top mattress prematurely sagged in the middle, so we flipped it over (to the hard side) and bought this natural latex topper since it's sustainable and received strong reviews. After three months of absolute agony sleeping on a Tempur-pedic Cloud mattress, which I couldn't return because it was a floor model, I was about to give it to my daughter. But after talking with our local FloBed dealer, who makes custom beds using natural latex, I decided to try a latex topper on the Tempur-pedic. A great deal of research and high prices later, I decided on the affordable, 2" Natural Latex Non Blended Mattress Topper from Organic Textiles. WOW! What a difference! I sleep soundly and get up refreshed every morning, rather than feeling as though a truck had run over me throughout the night then parked itself on my back and shoulders in the morning! The topper arrived in a timely manner and was vacuum-packed in a black plastic bag. When I took it out, the topper immediately took on the correct shape, no bumps, ripples or bent corners. There was a slight smell, so I aired it out for a day before putting a mattress pad on top of it, and haven't noticed any odor since. I'm adding a wool mattress pad so if anything spills, neither the latex topper or the mattress will get wet.

The topper is not quite as firm as I'd hoped it would be, but it does make the mattress a great deal firmer. My only beef is that one side of the pad has a number of tears between the holes, and one edge is slightly ripped at the end. According to the manufacturer, tears are a normal part of the manufacturing process, although I feel there may be a few too many, which is why I've given only 4 stars rather than 5. Over all, I am extremely satisfied with the seller and the product.

My Pillow Premium- Premium Standard/Queen Bed Pillow

I will start with the caveat that I did not buy this pillow from Amazon.com. I bought this pillow from the company's main site, as I would suggest that you do, since you can easily search for coupon codes that will give you 20% off. I was a bit concerned by the reviews on here, because all of the extremely positive reviews sounded like they were poorly written by a company employee and did not contain any detailed information about their experiences. I finally decided to give this pillow a shot after watching a video review on YouTube that appeared to be from a real customer.

I bought the "green" standard size pillow. and chose the 10-14 day shipping option for a shipping charge of $10 on the company website. I was pleasantly surprised when I had it delivered 3 days later. I unpacked the pillow, which came in a frighteningly small box just larger than a 2 liter bottle. The pillow was very flat when it came out, but it expanded somewhat as it sat there for a few hours. I put the pillow in the drier for 10 minutes as suggested on the sheet that it was packed with. The pillow had greatly expanded and was now the size and thickness of a standard pillow.

I just tried this pillow for the first time last night. The pillow was wonderfully supportive and felt sufficiently firm without feeling hard. I would describe it as feeling somewhat like a combination of a standard (polyester fill?) and a memory foam pillow. I most recently have been using standard pillows and found no "learning curve" to get used to this pillow. I imagine that if you are used to a down pillow (which I hate) it may take some time to adapt. I do not know what the pillow is filled with, but it looks somewhat lumpy in appearance and it feels to the touch as if there are medium sized (ping-pong to baseball sized) clumps of the material inside the cover. The pillow does not feel lumpy when you are laying on it, and the different sized clumps conform nicely to the shape of your head while laying down. The pillow does somewhat retain the shape of your head when you get up, but to no where near the extent that memory foam pillows do. I slept better than I had in weeks last night, but I was also extremely tired, so I imagine that played a role.

I did not notice any of the odor that a few others have mentioned. I have used memory foam pillows, so I know exactly what kind of chemical smell they are mentioning, and this pillow did not have any of that smell. I am wondering if the people that did notice a smell either got a bad batch or if the pillow they bought was not an authentic My Pillow. I even asked my girlfriend, who is very sensitive to smells, if she noticed a smell, and she did not.

As far as sound that the pillow makes while laying on it, I specifically listened for sound and could only hear a VERY slight rustling noise while I moved that was only slightly louder than a standard pillow. I have used sobakawa pillows which are incredibly loud, and My Pillow is nothing like this.

In short, I am quite happy with this pillow so far. $70 dollars (after coupon code and shipping) was a lot for me to spend on one pillow, so I hope it holds up with time. Every pillow I have had in the past, including memory foam, has gone flat within a few months, so I buy quite a few pillows in the course of a year. The instructions on My Pillow say that fluffing it up in the drier or machine washing it will bring the pillow back to full loft. I will try to remember to update this review in a few months about whether it has gone flat. It took me a while to work up the nerve to spend this amount on a pillow, and I found that there were not a lot of helpful reviews. If someone has a question, let me know if I can be of any help.

3 MONTH UPDATE: After about 3 months of nearly nightly use, the pillow seems to be holding up reasonably well. It does kind of lose its shape and loft every once in a while, but putting it in the dryer for 10-20 mins seems to make it good as new (at least for a couple of weeks, keep in mind though that I have a big head and can flatten a regular pillow in less than a month). I considered taking a star off because it is kind of a pain to "re-loft" the pillow, but since it is still better than any of the other pillows that I have tried, I think I'll leave it at 5 stars for now. Have rolled over and tried to use the girlfriends pillow with a standard fill (the kind I used most recently before this one), and I can't believe how much better My Pillow feels. I have not tried washing it; I am slightly afraid to, but they say it is washable.

With great expectations and anticipation I finally received My Pillow order yesterday. Getting home, I unpacked it and prepared it with my bed. Unfortunately it is with great disappointment that I review this product.

When I opened the pillow, I immediately noticed a pronounced, chemical, plastic/rubber odor. It reminded me of the odor of carpet padding. I hoped that this would dissipate before going to bed. And it did to a degree. But as I rested my head on the pillow and with each time that I rearranged the pillow, a new puff of the odor was apparent. I woke up in the morning with a throbbing headache, I believe from the fumes. The headache did not go away until just before lunch today. I don't drink alcohol, so that has nothing to do with the experience.

I am a side sleeper and so my ear is on the pillow. This is the LOUDEST pillow ever. With my ear on the pillow I could hear a continuous and loud, Snap, Crackle, Pop inside the pillow that would not stop. This made it more difficult to pass on to dreamland than with my prior fiberfill pillow.

The pillow is lumpy, not soft as described in the TV ad. The filling appears to be in large irregularly shaped chunks. The lumpiness is apparent through the pillow case and I can feel the lumps with my head resting on the pillow.

I've never had these problems with my existing pillows. Nor with the pillows I encounter on my frequent hotel stays for business travel. I think I'll be looking for a natural filling pillow. I experienced some great pillows at a Hilton Garden Inn last week that were down filled.

I'd ordered two pillows and pillow cases with the intention that my wife would use one. I made a trial run last night with the pillow and will not open the second pillow for her to use.

This is the first review I have ever taken the time to write. I felt it was important to let people know that they should not waste their money. I have no health problems but I do have trouble sleeping. I too watched the infomercial and felt that if it was as good as they say then my sleep problems may finally be over. This pillow is lumpy and is honestly no different than any other pillow I have tryed for a fraction of the price that I paid for this one. They claim to have wonderful customer service so I called them and kindly told them that the pillow was most definitely not worth the money they were charging. The woman said there was nothing she could do and explained the return policy...which is not worth the time and money it would take to get the refund. So buyer beware, this is NOT a miracle pillow. The sales guy is convincing but you should think twice before making the purchase.

I bought this pillow based on the ads touting how comfortable it is. It was OK at first but nothing special at all. I followed the directions for washing and caring for the pillow. After a short time the pillow became so lumpy it was unusable. It went in the trash. I discovered the Cuddledown pillow at my daughter's house and it's the most comfortable pillow I've ever owned.

I'm disturbed by the claims that My Pillow can help Sleep Apnea, TMJ, Fibromyalgia, etc. These are complex medical conditions that can hardly be cured by a simple pillow.

Been using this for 2 weeks now and i can say with confidence that although its a decent pillow, its simply not worth $70. The only advantage really is that it is firmer than ordinary pillows. I have bought 3 of these Marrikas covers. The first had a button closure. When I bought the second I found it had graduated to a zip closure, which was much preferred. So I got a third with a zip and will pass the button one to a friend. The cover is very well made and does a great job at keeping the featherbed in good shape. Of course, it is always a bit of a struggle to get the cover over the mattress. To be expected as the cover is a close fit and a Queen size featherbed is rather unwieldy.

Contour Twist Pillow with Cover

We bought 2 of these pillows for an 8 hour trip on a plane. They were perfect! I was able to bend and twist it to hold up my head, but also place it in between the seat for a pillow at the same time. It worked so well I got lots of good sleep without my neck cramping. We even used it on my 3 yr old! It was a GREAT purchase. The only thing I was worried about was getting through security with it, but there ended up not being a problem at all with that. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Pillow is bulky for travel. The foam is not "memory" foam but is fairly comfortable. My biggest complaint is that the "twist" feature is really just a couple of notches than bend. There is excess foam at the ends of the pillow that are just sort of hanging there. Comfortable enough, but it's not really any better than your regular travel pillow.

This vendor, Toys, Inc., is charging $20 more for this Ladybug Dream Lite than any place else. I bought it not knowing much about these Dream Lites, other than it was the MUST gift for our granddaughter. A few days after I rec'd it, I found out it was selling for $29.99 every place else. Wasn't happy. Returned it and they refunded my money.

These Dream Lites are smaller version of the Pillow Pets line of pillows, and my kids HAD to have them. This ladybug is apparently retired so we were privileged to pay extra for it so my daughter could have a matching set.

The pillow itself appears fine, however, it does not come with cardboard packaging. This may not matter to most, but this is the gift my 7-yr. old wants from Santa & he usually delivers items under the tree looking brand new-from-the-store in original packaging. The way it arrived makes it appear it is in used condition. If you don't care about the box, then this is otherwise as described!

Ended up having to return this item because it did not work. The seller was extremely easy to work with & my first Amazon return went very smoothly! Thank you!

I bought this for my daughter because a friend had loaned us her Cloud B Ladybug which is similar but does not play music. I chose the frog because it was more fitting to my childs interests and room color scheme but also b/c I thought it a better value due to the fact that it plays music and sounds. I am very pleased with my purchase. It has a few soothing lullabies and a few noiseswaves, rainforest sound complete with rain, frogs and birds, and finally white noise. It has a button under the velcro on the bottom that can control the volume with three different settings. I will say that cloud B seeemed to be a little better quality and I liked the buttons better on the cloud B but I feel the sound capabilities made up for it and it is not a concerning lack of quality. The button for the sound is kind of awkward and hard to push but not terrible. My daughter loves it and I highly reccomend it.

I previously ordered the Cloud B Ladybug and left a review for that. Was not happy with that at all. I decided to try again and found this item on Amazon. Summer Infant Slumber Buddies Frog.

I am much more impressed with this item for a few reasons.

With this Frog, there are three sound levels. Very low, medium and louder, operated by a switch in the back under velcro. You can use this for either the heart wooshing, nature sounds or the music.

First, it plays music. There are four different song choices, music, (not singing). Everybody has their own preference, so I am sure some will like one song and some will like others.

Second, it plays two different nature sounds. OCEAN WAVES or the BABBLING STREAM w/ BIRDS. Personally, I like the stream w/ birds.

It also has a heartbeat sound. Sort of like a woosh woosh. I don't care for it but some might.

Reason for four stars instead of five -Music sounds like it has a little bit of static in background, not much, but a little. Wish it had a couple of more nature sounds and wish it had more than two lights. This is all nitpicking, just stating my reason.

There may be others out there of different brands, but I'm happy with this one and so are the kids.

So you have a choice of lights only, lights with heartbeat, or lights with music, or lights with nature sounds, or heartbeat only, or music only, or nature sounds only.

It gives you three different colored lights, except I can only tell the difference between two. If you click once you get blue, second time it is red and to me, click again it is blue, click fourth time, lights off. (same as the CloudB, and please note the CloudB ladybug had no music or sounds). Sorry, this review will seem like I am only comparing the two, and that is exactly what I am doing.

Back is hard plastic, rest of body soft. Small to medium size.

Our five year old has had a heck of a time sleeping in her own bed let alone putting herself to sleep without someone staying with her until she falls asleep. With a new baby on the way, it was extremely important that we get this under control. We put the Slumber Buddies, Frog on our registry and let our daughter open it to see how it worked. She loved it! Three different colors: red, blue, and green (NOTE: the red is not as bright/pronounced as the other two); a starry night illuminates the room; lullabies; nature sounds; three different volume levels (although the lowest is still a bit loud for my taste); and automatic shut off. Perfect for a new baby!

However, with our daughter so reluctant to sleep in her room, I decided to let her borrow her brother's frog one night and was completely and utterly amazed at what happened. We turned on the frog's light (blue is her favorite) and the third lullaby (also her favorite). I laid with her and we pretended to point out different planets for a few minutes. Then I kissed her and told her it was time for me to leave. There were no tears, there was no getting out of bed, and when I checked on her later, she was out cold. AND she didn't wake up in the middle of the night! We have successfully gotten her to stay in her bed every night since letting her use this to aid her in falling asleep. In fact, I ordered her her own Slumber Buddies, Butterfly which will be here in a couple of days. What started out as a cute idea for a nightlight for our baby boy's turtle and frog themed room turned out to be a true lifesaver for our older child. I could not be happier with this purchase! Summer Infant, once again, knocks it out of the park!

This is such a cute little thing! It is much smaller than what I had imagined, but I guess if it were any bigger, it would take up too much space.

It provides 3 different colors of stars on the ceiling: Blue, Amber, & green. We use the blue most of the time because it seems to provide the brightest light. The music is not the usual type of lullabies and there are several different ones to choose from. It also has 2 different 'white noise' options.

We keep this in my infant sons room, but my older girls LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! It really would be great for a child who is afraid of the dark. The batteries have lasted us a very long time. It DOES have to be pretty close to the ceiling to provide the 'Starry Night' effect. We put it on a shelf. The only thing that could make this better is to have a stronger light to make it a little brighter (or maybe have a 'bright/dim' setting). And a remote turn off would be great too!

Ok, so I've tried many down/feather pillows & I must say these are the best. I do not regret this purchase in any way, shape, or form. I have had them for about a week now & even my partner says they are wonderful, which is a miracle in itself because she usually has no comments. They are squished when they arrive but fluff up when you take them out of the package. I have slept at many Marriott hotels & these are some of the pillows they have. I now have a 'marriott' bed & I absolutely love it!

These pillows are used by a finer, small and historical hotel, the Eldridge located in Lawrence, Kansas; it's also a haunted hotel featured in A&E Biography Channel, My Ghost Story. Anyway, I digress so ghosts aside, the pillows were divine, so I eMailed the management staff at the Eldridge and they gave me the brand name and where they purchase them. The pillows were delivered right away and I am delighted with how comfortable they are and look forward to using them nightly.

Pillows arrived right on time. Inside cardboard box they were enclosed in zippered transparent plastic case. The pillows have unpleasant odor, I was unable to sleep on them even when placed inside pillow case. For more than 24 hours I've had them airing out, large amount of that time right next to open window. Still do not smell good, and I'm very disappointed that I'm unable to use them.

A note arrived with pillows stating that if they were compressed and needed fluffing they could be placed in dryer on fluff or air cycle, along with a damp washcloth, for 15 minutes. I'm considering doing so and adding a scented fabric softener, but would rather remove rather than mask the odor.

I would appreciate feedback and suggestions. Thanks.

Bedsack Classic Mattress Pad

Yes, this mattress pad/bedsack is inexpensive and looks great in the photo...but it's true that you get what you pay for. Shoddy materials and unless your mattress is an older one and/or less than 10" deep this bedsack won't fit. I ordered this mattress pad because it was hypoallergenic and the padding wasn't just confined to the top but was around the sides, too. Nowhere in the product description did it say anything about this bedsack's depth but, since it was for a full sized mattress I, stupidly, figured it'd fit all types. I struggled to get the corners under the mattress on one side only to find there wasn't enough material to fit properly on the other side. If I tried to stretch and "balance" the corners the pad popped off as soon as I tried to put the sheets on. I'm very puzzled that some reviewers were happy with this product because I am definitely not! As affordable as this bedsack may be, it's a total waste of money!

If I could give this zero stars I would. I washed it per the insructions prior to putting it on the bed and it washed and dried easily. The very first time my husband and I were putting it on the bed the tissue-paper fabric on the sides ripped and we were *not* treating it roughtly. I really wish this would have worked out but after it tore before we even got it on the bed for the first time we removed it and returned it (thank you Amazon). I need to learn that mostly you get what you paid for and I went the inexpensive route and was disappointed, especially since BedSack had a good retupation in my mind. Not any more!

I've been sleeping on a Water Pillow Mediflow Fiber Padding for years, and one thing I can tell you is that the original pillow cover gets stained pretty bad after a while. I can clear some of it temporarily letting it sit in the sun all day, but the pillow protector is the easier way to go. I made the dumb mistake of trying to wash my first Mediflow pillow in the washer, but ruined it that way (Yes, I know the instructions say don't machine wash. Like I said, dumb). If you're like most Mediflow users, you're never going to go back to regular pillows, so get the pillow protector, too. Absolutely yes!

This pillow cover is great for use with a water pillow. I have purchased 3 water pillows and 3 covers. I am super happy with each purchase. I bought my 2 adult daughters water pillows with covers. They are very happy with the cover as well. I haven't washed my pillow cover yet so I don't know how it will come out of the wash, but it certainly looks like there won't be a problem. I bought my pillow about a month ago and like it OK. Decided to get this "quilted" cover to help keep the pillow clean. I had previously covered it with two pillowcases. Wish I'd known I was buying this cheaply made, too small pillow case. The material is rough, definitely not a quality cotton, and there is virtually NO quilting in it at all. And because it's very cheaply made, it's really too small in size for this big water-filled pillow and squishes it in, making it too rigid and uncomfortable. After one night of tossing and turning on a now uncomfortable pillow, I pulled it off and returned to using double pillow cases. So now I guess I'm stuck with a $15.00 piece of garbage. Save your money!
