Mobile Meditator Inflatable Meditation Cushion and Travel Pillow

I've been meditating for many years and used all types of cushions. Before I purchased my Mobile Meditator inflatable meditation cushion, I used a traditional kapok filled cushion which, over time gets hard and uncomfortable. This problem is never the case with the Mobile Meditator. It is always soft and if I need to I can adjust the size if needed.

Most importantly when I travel I no longer have to devote a large part of my suitcase to a heavy and bulky meditation pillow. The Mobile Meditator takes up no more space than a t-shirt. I am so happy with my purchase of this fantastic product.

For LOTS of travel and LOTS of sitting, this cushion is what I have been looking for these last ten years. It is really easy to adjust to different anatomical requirements and takes up no space in the suitcase or pack. Because of the shape it gives excellent sitting support even when it is only slightly inflated, instead of tilting your sitbones the wrong way, like other inflatable cushions easily do.

I had trouble getting the valves to work properly at first, but once they were broken in I came to really appreciate the system you have to pinch the bottom of the valve for air to pass in or out, which makes it easy to get the exact amount of inflation you want.

I've been a daily meditator for more that thirty years, using various cushions. This one is the most comfortable by far. To previous favorable reviews, I would like to add my appreciation for the company's service. The cushion I bought leaked. I sent them an e-mail which was answered immediately, and they sent a replacement without even asking me to return the leaker.

The Mobile Mediator is an excellent idea; I thought it was going to be the answer for me. I am more-or-less nomadic and travel with just a backpack often; a 5+ lbs. zafu is not portable.

The single flaw in the Mobile Mediator I tested is that I couldn't get the center chamber to completely deflate. The center air chamber is divided into at least two other chambers itself and one of them wouldn't release the air; No matter what approach I tried while squeezing the value(squeezing, rolling it from the ends, pushing my knees on it),I could not get it to deflate. This prevented me from packing it one one weekend trip as it's bulk wouldn't fit into my weekend bag. Had it deflated to fit in the convenient travel pouch included, it wouldn't have been an issue.

In my experience sitting on an inflated cushion is very different from buckwheat hulls or kapok; I didn't feel grounded and couldn't get in a comfortable position. I suppose this is a good stable alternative to the 'beach ball' blow up cushions I've heard of available.

This would be a perfect cushion for backpackers/campers should the deflation issue be resolved.

I was a little skeptical of this product when I ordered it -I bought it mostly for the price because I needed a second zafu to use at my office and didn't want to spend the money for another husk-filled zafu, like the one I use at home. It ended up being a lot more comfortable than a bean bag zafu, and allows me to go without any back pain for relatively long sits (an hour or so). I think this is due to a combination of the flexibility inherent in an inflatable cushion and the slight downward grading of the main compartment. In any case, I highly recommend this product!
