Microfiber Comforter Set

I'm crazy about this comforter set! I was afraid a $50 set wouldn't be this nice but I was way wrong. I have a queen size bed but I love to snuggle against a bunch of blanket so I bought the king size comforter. I purchased the brown/khaki and the picture doesn't do it justice. It is a lot nicer on your bed than in the picture and the fact that it is reversable is such a bonus. It is very very soft and warm. Thin? Not at all. I will be buying another color of this comforter for some change too.

edit (Aug. 24th 2012) so after one of the children decided to draw mommy pretty pictures on my comforter with permanent marker I bought the "red" set. Still warm and snuggly, still very happy with my microfiber sets. I moved the one with marker to the living room to cuddle with for movies, no way I was tossing it out! Been using it now for almost 4 years and it has held up great!

I purchased this on the Saturday of one weekend and it was delivered 3 days later on Tuesday. For my queen bed, I got the king and it was a good decision as it gave room for nice drape over the sides of the bed. I washed the comforter immediately and it held up well, drying quickly (microfiber). The colors are as in the picture, contrast stitching is nice, and it feels light, soft and warm. Of course this is not as warm as a down comforter, but that is why I wanted a different one for spring! NO REGRETS. A great buy.

This is a really nice comforter. I bought it for our new cal king size bed, and got the cal king size comforter, not very happy it only covers the top of the bed. This is the first cal king size bed that I have ever had and normally with my queen size bed I get the king to hang over the edges. So if you are going to buy a comforter for an actual cal king size bed than I would take that into consideration, if you like it to hang over I might suggest that you keep looking.

Good quality product but the Cal King and Reg King are the same size, not long enough to cover the pillows. I purchased the Cal King for my standard King so that it would be long enough to cover the pillows and I noticed on the packaging that only the bed skirt size is larger, not the spread.

I washed the product for the first time this weekend. The comforter did not return to it's original form and the colors are faded. I was very disappointed with the product and feel that I wasted my money buying it!

My 3-year-old daughter picked this set to go on her new big-girl bed. Overall, I like the blanket quite well. The material is a little more slick than I like, but it is nice and light. It's handy that it is reversible for the future. The monkey side is adorable. The polka dot side starts out with large polka dots at the bottom that get smaller near the top and more spaced out. Finally at the top, it is only pink. I think this might be so that when we fold it over on the monkey side, there is pink and no polka dots.

I didn't fully realize that the stuffed animal came with it (yay for me and reading the description.....), but my daughter was totally happy. However, I took away a full star because after only having him about a week, the seam has ripped along his back. I can easily sew it up though, and it IS a cute little monkey.

I haven't used the sham yet (monkey on one side, polka dot on the other), so I can't comment on it, but it does look like it'd be fun.

I would take away half a star if I could because it's a touch more pricey than I wanted to pay and because of the slightly slick material, but overall I still think it's worth closer to 4 stars than 3 at the moment. A cute set overall.

UPDATE 10/8/12: After one washing according to the directions, the bedspread started to get some loose threading on it. I lowered the product rating from 4 stars to 3. Still cute and my daughter loves it, but I'm a little bit disappointed in the overall quality.

Hermell Products 7-1/2-Inch Bed Wedge with White Cover

Very hard wedge. Would not suggest to most people. I have CMT and leg neuropathy. It is so hard that it hurts my legs from resting on it. Gave it to my grandaughter for reading, and she even didnt like it. Dont waste your $ on this product. Pay alittle more and get a quality made product.

I originally got this because I have a frozen shoulder, and occasionally it helped with the pain...but I found it really useful for putting under my legs so my feet would not touch the mattress; sometimes the weight of the covers is too much for my poor feet, and this wedge was perfect!

the material is 100% polyester yet it does FEEL satiny soft. This is not silk. I should have understood that better. As far as for hair, i still wear my night cap at night and i haven't noticed any less breakage if the cap were to fall off. I've only used it for about a week so i may give an update in a few months.

These pillowcases are nice looking, and work well for decorative pillows. But the material isn't particularly comfortable to sleep on -it's relatively "rough" or "coarse" especially compared to cotton pillowcases.

This was an excellent purchase. the zippered cover fits perfectly and the sheets stay snug on the bed. I have restless leg syndrom and the sheets have not moved. We have had the cover on for over a month now. The other protective cover that we had only was a top cover with bands that held on the four corners and almost every morning the bed spread was off and wrinkled under me. This set of 12 pillowcases sells for less than $4 per pillowcase, and they are surprisingly nice. The fabric is 40% polyester, but you would never know it to see them or touch them. They look and feel like cotton. They have a pretty woven-in damask stripewhite on white. They seem well-made, albeit very simply. There is no fancy stitching on the hems, for example. I have not washed them yet. so I can't say if they are truly wrinkle-free, but the polyester content should help with that.

I was really happy to find these pillowcases, because it seems that more and more sheets are sold in sets, so it's harder to find separate pillowcases for a reasonable price.

I bought this mattress cover and covers for the pillows and duvet based upon the glowing recommendation on another allergy product website. They are heavier and more coarse than expected based upon the description, and in particular, they are NOT soft as emphasized in the review, even after washing. They are stiff like denim dried in the sun and don't breath very well. I am returning the duvet cover as it is heavier than the duvet itself, and the weight and stiffness of the cover makes the the duvet uncomfortable to use. The pillow cases I already washed, so we are stuck with them. We can feel the stiffness of the mattress cover through the sheets, but we are going to put a mattress pad over it so we can't feel it. Overall, great to find organic covers, but for the price the lack of comfort is not worth it and I'll keep looking. They appear to be well made, have not given them the test of time.

I purchased this comforter set for my daughter and son-in-law for their anniversary, and we were all disappointed in the product. It had a chemical smell when the package was opened and had to be "dry cleaned only" whereas other items could be machine washed. They have a dog who is always up on the bed and therefore their bedding must be washed frequently. The comforter felt like the circles were painted on and the rest of the fabric was unpleasant to the touch. All of that could have been dealt with if the comforter was actually sized properly to fit the bed. IT IS EXTREMELY SKIMPY AND LOOKS CHEAP. It's too much hassle to return so I'll take my chances and throw it into the washer and dryer and then give it to my grandson to use on his bed.

I ordered this item this winter and needed it because it was so cold. The package came in and the items were all an ugly brown color, not what I was expecting from the black pictures. I came back on the website and could not find any mention of it being a certain color so I guess it is partly my fault for not paying closer attention. I still feel that this is messed up since they have a black comforter set displayed in the picture. This is the second problem I have had with amazon fulfilled orders in the past month and so I may just start taking my business elsewhere. This is very disappointing considering how many successful purchases I have made on amazon, but it seems like the service is going downhill.

I don't know why this 20x20" insert has a much stiffer covering than the 18x18" which I bought at the same time. Since my pillow covers were silk, the stiff covering of the insert showed a ton of wrinkles under the delicate silk and you can feel the stiffness through my pillow cover.

This is an excellent business with great customer service that handle returns very well.

However, when buying sheets do not be fooled by thread count. Thread count is the number of threads in one inch vertically and horizontally. Ply is the number of strands in one thread. A 1200 TC single ply will probably be thinner than a 800 TC double ply sheet. These are single ply sheets.

You might want to think of TC and ply (roughly) this way. Using 1/4 inch thread the TC would be 4 in length and 4 in width or a sheet with a TC of 8. The sheet would be 1/4 inch thick.

Using a 1/8 inch thread you would have 8 threads each and the sheet would have a TC or 16. The sheet would be 1/8 inch thick. It would also be 1/2 as thick as the sheet with a lower thread count. So the lower TC sheet would be much thicker than the sheet with a higher thread count.

Single ply sheets with high thread counts result in thin sheets with excellent drape that are cool in hot summer months.

Double ply sheets result in thicker sheets with excellent wear and durability and are warm in winter months.

These my friend are nice single ply sheets, they are not thick, should be cool to sleep on and have good drape.

If your looking for thicker sheets you might be well served to look at a 800 TC double ply sheet. They are available here on Amazon. If you read my other reviews, you will find them.

My first set of these sheets were just what I was looking for, heavy, well made 100% Cotton sheets, perfect for warmer and humid climates, as we have in Georgia.

They become softer as they are used and washed, shrinking is not an issue or bunching up at the seams, in addition they will fit the new thicker mattress'.

I should stress that these are not microfiber sheets, I honestly can't see how anyone can like microfiber, I ordered a set of J S Sanders sheets advertised as 100% cotton but upon receiving them I discovered that they must be some type of synthetic material as they were non-absorbent, also you can see right through them, I just checked the listing again and I'm surprised to see them are getting a decent rating. I sent the sheets back and the seller (The Comfort Zone) promptly sent my refund, actually the seller was very good about the entire issue.

I am about to order another set of sheets from this company, The Egyptian Cotton Factory Outlet , my first set was ordered in July 2011 and I was surprised to see that they are still available, will update this review upon receiving this next set.
