after searching for inexpensive, extra-deep pocketed, 100% cotton sheets at Bed Bath and Beyond for nearly 6 months I broke down and tried these but had limited expectations due to how inexpensive they were compared to what I had been looking at in stores. These sheets are amazing! We love them! They obviously won't last forever, but they are our main sheet set that we've used for 6 months---and they'll easily last another year...at which point we'll be order another couple sets. We got the taupe color---it's like a dark cafe olait color (or lighter milk chocolate color)--they work perfectly with our "neutral" color scheme.
But I'm writing this review because of the customer service. I ordered these and then put them out of mind. A couple weeks later I thought of them and checked the tracking info. The post office said they had delivered them a week before. Either the post office delivered them to the wrong address or someone stole the package off my front porch. I expected the usual runaround of investigations, finger pointing, excuses, and maybe someday getting my sheets.
Here is what actually happened:
I emailed the company and told them my problem.
They emailed back, asking me to confirm my address.
I confirmed my address.
They shipped replacement sheets. No questions, no hassle.
Great sheets. Even better customer service, leading to the first review I have written after using Amazon for many years.The vendor was so great to work with and arrived earlier than the estimated time and the sheets are wonderful!i bought a set of these sheets simply because single ply sheets are very soft. Not these. in addition to their papery feeling, the elastic on the fitted sheet was almost nonexistent. The fitted sheet is loose on my bed even though my mattress is 20 inches thick. If there was a such thing as a no star rating, that is how i would rate this sheet set. They are definitely NOT worth the price.
