We purchased this for our sleep number bed to add an extra layer of cuhioning, yes it has a smell when it comes to your house, but airing it for about 24 hours should take care of that problem. That being said it has made an incredible difference for us in the comfort level of the bed. We opted for a one step up from the bottom sleep number bed thinking that we could add a layer of memory foam for alot less than the cost of the superior sleep number and we made a good decision. We are in our 50's and have more trouble sleeping with out waking to shift position at night. The first time we slept on this, I didn't move the entire night. We have had this since this summer and it still feels like heaven when I lay down at night. I highly recommend this product and am considering ordering a second for the holidays when our children come home to make the beds in the other rooms just as comfortable.

I first slept on a memory foam mattress at a family member's home. When I woke the next morning my pain in my back and hips was not there. This made me realize I needed a different mattress, but I didn't need a new one, so that's why I tried the topper. Best decision I've made in a long time. My husband and I bought a travel trailer a few months back and LOVE traveling and camping, except for one thing: Our bed, the mattress sucks! The springs are just under the surface, not comfortable at all. Unfortunately it wasn't in the budget to replace it, so I went looking for a good topper. Found this one and after alot of research decided it was the one for us. I ordered it and it arrived very quickly. We took it out and unrolled it. No funky smell and it opened up nicely. It fit the bed perfectly and oh my gosh is it comfortable. No more springs poking us in the back, elbows or knees. We have a Tempurpedic at home so it's still not quite as comfy as sleeping there, BUT it definitely is 100% better than without it. =D

For the sake of those who are reading this I will sum up my thoughts with the best amount of brevity.

Firstly, When the product arrived there was NO SMELL, at all!! And there continues to be NO SMELL.

Second, It is very comfortable and I have been sleeping incredibly well since putting it on my bed.

Lastly, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY The only reason I didn't give the product 5 Stars was the size of the topper when it came. I have a FULL XL mattress which is a very akward and uncommon size. I decided I would just buy a QUEEN sized topper and cut off the excess. As it turned out, I did NOT need to adjust the QUEEN size topper for my FULL XL mattress.

IN OTHER WORDS: THE PRODUCT YOU PURCHASE MAY BE SMALLER THAN THE ACTUAL GIVEN DIMENSIONS. I realize that everyone likes to save money, but it may be beneficial to buy a size larger than what you need to circumvent any problems with the size.

I've had a Natures Rest mattress for going on 6 years, when it was new the mattress was amazing and although it cost a premium the salesman at the time assured me that because of it's latex construction it would last much longer than a normal mattress so it's worth the money. I'm beginning to see that this is a common phrase mattress sales people use to close the deal. It worked on me because it was the first one I'd bought having had nothing but hand-me-downs from family prior. So let it be a lesson to you if you're a first time mattress buyer... I won't fall for that again.

Long story short, the thing started to sag in the last couple years or so. Finally couldn't take it anymore and grabbed one of these.

When it came in, it was like a bad Christmas joke. It was shipped inside a huge amazon box, inside was another plain cardboard box and inside that... you guessed it, another box. Opened that and the bed topper was shrinkwrapped into a very tiny package. For the life of me I can't figure out why they needed that many boxes but at least the cats have something fun to play in for a few days until recycling comes.

Unwrapped it and it spread out into shape in a matter of minutes. Laid it on the bed, made it up and passed out for the best sleep I've had in a couple years. It did have a funky smell the first night but that has gone completely away now and it's truly amazing. No more back pain... and it's got me thinking about just getting a full memory foam mattress next when my budget allows it.
