All Natural Latex Pillow With Organic Cotton Outer Covering

I looked around and just couldn't beat this price for a 'natural latex pillow' using the Dunlop process (from what I read the Dunlop part seemd important). My wife has had a similar pillow for years and I really like it so I was trying to find something comparable without spending $100 like she had.

I bought this totally prepared to send it back. It's less than half of what she paid. And, I figured if it's even close it's a deal. And, yes, it's a deal.

It feels just like the more expensive one with one exception. I wish it was 1/2 to 1-inch thicker. So, I should have bought the Queen or King version. Oh well I'll likely just buy another in a month or two this one is so close it's hard to even notice except that I've used hers and it's right next to mine so too easy to compare.

What I did do which helps a bit and makes them almost identical:

Put the pillow inside another pillow protector in addition to the organic one it comes with. This tightens or squeezes it a bit and now feels like it's a little higher. But, this could just be my imagination too. It's so close.

I recommend and should mention that I absolutely only use firm pillows so if this didn't cut it, I would have sent it right back. And, I go through pillows, the firms ones too, in about 3-6 months. In that time, they tend to compress too much. This is one of the reasons I wanted to buy a latex pillow I've heard they don't compress over time. So, we'll see about that and I'll update my review in six months or so.

I have long term neck issues, making me a sampler of every kind of pillow. I have now figured out the pillow conundrum. The neck must remain in a neutral position (in lordosis curve and midline) throughout the night to not cause imbalance and stress. This can easily be done with a block of wood ... cut the right thickness to keep the head straight. But, as you can imagine, no one could tolerate the hardness on the head. So, now we need to make the pillow soft for the head without compromising the support .... and here is where the trouble begins. Almost every "soft" pillow compresses way too much allowing the head to bend toward the bed. Manufacturers compensate by making the pillow too thick (bending the head up) or too hard (making it uncomfortable).

This, organic latex, pillow seems to be a good compromise. I think it should be 1-1 1/2" thicker, but it is soft (feels like your head is floating), and compresses only a bit. There is a mild latex smell out of the box (not too bad). I am enjoying its use, now we will see how long it lasts ... as the foam pillows including the top, expensive brands you all know, soften within 30 days.

This company has great quality latex. I wish I bought their contour version as your head doesn't sink too much into the pillow -so your neck might be a little sore if you don't push it into your upper back each time you go to sleep. The quality of their latex though is 1000% better than the Malouf products! I previously thought that Talalay meant pure (not synthetic latex) but I read later that this is NOT true. Talalay is almost always synthetic because of their process. Go DUNLOP latex! This product is indeed 100% PURE LATEX! Absolutely no chemical smell! Wonderful company quality! Nice product!!!

We have two other latex pillows and love them. Our daughter wanted one for her birthday. Once again I looked on Amazon. I couldn't remember where we got the last one, so took another chance. She loves it. It did come with an unpleasent smell (a manufacturing smell) it didn't last long. We have eleven children. And these are the most desired pillows. They always retain their shape and are very comfortable. Great product and affordable. We will be adding more of these to our collection.

I guess I was actually expecting the listed thickness, but this was too thin (about 1/2"). It offers some padding, but I might as well have folded a thick blanket in half. Spend the extra money and get a 5" BOXED Feather Bed Cover QUEEN BY MARRIKAS or similar boxed feather (or down alternative) topper.

I was amazed at how small this mattress pad was when it arrived. After 2-3 days it did plump up as described in the directions though. No noticable odor or offgassing from the foam. Took a few days to get used to it but it helps to extend the life of a mattress that has seen it's prime. For anyone who cannot afford to purchase a new mattress just yet, this will help you get another several months out of your existing set.

We just bought a new matress and my husband picked out the rock hardest one hoping it would last the longest but I was so uncomfortable until I bought this and put it on. It adds cushion and the way it is made seems to help the sore spot where I hurt my back. The price was awesome and got here really quick. The only problem I am having is that it doesn't want to be flat in spots so when I make the bed it looks like I have a lumpy bed, I am hoping that it fixes itself soon, I don't know how long they stay this thick with two big people sleeping on it. I was hesitant to purchase these pillows at first because of the price. I thought something would be wrong for sure. Both pillows are extremely nice for the price. Like the other reviewer, I only them as throw pillows and not for sleeping. The picture shown is a bad representation of the "fluffiness" of the actual product. They fluff up a ton. The only con is the smell. I'm not sure what it is, perhaps it is normal for down and will eventually go away. It doesn't seem unnatural or chemical. I recommend these pillows for sure!

I used this pillow on a recent trip to New York City. I got stuck in a room in Manhattan that was somewhat less than stellar. Actually, it really stunk. The pillows were about 3-4 inches thick without any weight on them. With the pillowfix inserted into the pillow case, I had a great night of sleep for all three nights that I was in NYC.

A word of caution: Don't forget to take it with you when you go. I left mine and had to buy another.

Boppy 100% Organic Cotton Slipcover

This one was more expensive than the others but I wanted a neutral colour that was not too baby-ish or really bright and stand-out-ish (sorry about the poor English it is 5:30am :-)

The material is soft and thick. The $10 ones in the store felt very thin and rough.

Drool and spit-up do not show up on this creamy colour. When baby's diaper leaked during a feeding yesterday I scrubbed in some prewash stain remover thoroughly before putting the cover in the wash. I love this cover too much to get a stain on it and, being a plain colour, a dark stain would show up more easily. If it was more patterned I probably would not have been so thorough as any light mark left after washing would be hidden in a pattern.

I just purchased a second one of these for when the other one is in the wash so i have two the same.

This is one of only two jersey knit covers for the Boppy pillow. It's not scratchy against my sensitive skin, which is a big deal since I'm pulling up my shirt to nurse several times a day. It's not rough against my son's skin either, so he doesn't get a rash from lying on it while he nurses. I didn't care about the organic cotton, just the fabric feel and ease with which it washes up and goes on the pillow. The price os only $5 more than the other jersey knit cover I have for the pillow, so I think its a worthwhile purchase.

The only good thing about these sheets is that they are soft and the color is truly a dark purple. I did not even get what I bought. They were supposed to be 1200 thread count and I got 1500 thread count, but the quailty is "cheap" My matteress is 13" to 14" and the sheets claim to fit up to 16" mattresses...NOT. They barely tuck in, and the elastic is sooooo cheap. They will never stay on. Also, they were defective. On the fitted sheet, the seamtress accidently caught part of the sheet and it was sewn into the hem, which left a big pucker. ( I got it out with a seam ripper) Then I see the elastic casing is all bundled up and the hem has the sheet all twisted up and they just sewed right over it. These sheets are not what they claim to be. I did read the reviews before I made my purchase and I believe that some of the people are not telling the truth and are just trying to scam us. The sheets I recieved are by ClaraClark... Supreme 1500 series... NOT. These sheets would be good for a college kid, since you will probably not see them again. LOL

the people that have posted are not real. beware of expensive high count sheets. there are many things that contributed to the quality of the material. you can have 1500 thread count that feels like under 300 because of short fiber lengths and poor naming conventions for egyptian.
