All Natural Latex Pillow With Organic Cotton Outer Covering

I looked around and just couldn't beat this price for a 'natural latex pillow' using the Dunlop process (from what I read the Dunlop part seemd important). My wife has had a similar pillow for years and I really like it so I was trying to find something comparable without spending $100 like she had.

I bought this totally prepared to send it back. It's less than half of what she paid. And, I figured if it's even close it's a deal. And, yes, it's a deal.

It feels just like the more expensive one with one exception. I wish it was 1/2 to 1-inch thicker. So, I should have bought the Queen or King version. Oh well I'll likely just buy another in a month or two this one is so close it's hard to even notice except that I've used hers and it's right next to mine so too easy to compare.

What I did do which helps a bit and makes them almost identical:

Put the pillow inside another pillow protector in addition to the organic one it comes with. This tightens or squeezes it a bit and now feels like it's a little higher. But, this could just be my imagination too. It's so close.

I recommend and should mention that I absolutely only use firm pillows so if this didn't cut it, I would have sent it right back. And, I go through pillows, the firms ones too, in about 3-6 months. In that time, they tend to compress too much. This is one of the reasons I wanted to buy a latex pillow I've heard they don't compress over time. So, we'll see about that and I'll update my review in six months or so.

I have long term neck issues, making me a sampler of every kind of pillow. I have now figured out the pillow conundrum. The neck must remain in a neutral position (in lordosis curve and midline) throughout the night to not cause imbalance and stress. This can easily be done with a block of wood ... cut the right thickness to keep the head straight. But, as you can imagine, no one could tolerate the hardness on the head. So, now we need to make the pillow soft for the head without compromising the support .... and here is where the trouble begins. Almost every "soft" pillow compresses way too much allowing the head to bend toward the bed. Manufacturers compensate by making the pillow too thick (bending the head up) or too hard (making it uncomfortable).

This, organic latex, pillow seems to be a good compromise. I think it should be 1-1 1/2" thicker, but it is soft (feels like your head is floating), and compresses only a bit. There is a mild latex smell out of the box (not too bad). I am enjoying its use, now we will see how long it lasts ... as the foam pillows including the top, expensive brands you all know, soften within 30 days.

I wish I bought their contour version as your head doesn't sink too much into the pillow -so your neck might be a little sore if you don't push it into your upper back each time you go to sleep. The quality of their latex though is 1000% better than the Malouf products! I previously thought that Talalay meant pure (not synthetic latex) but I read later that this is NOT true. We have two other latex pillows and love them. Our daughter wanted one for her birthday. Once again I looked on Amazon. I couldn't remember where we got the last one, so took another chance. She loves it. It did come with an unpleasent smell (a manufacturing smell) it didn't last long. We have eleven children. And these are the most desired pillows. They always retain their shape and are very comfortable. Great product and affordable. We will be adding more of these to our collection.

Love these sheets! Soft, silky. Great color. However, the manufacturer does not have this same type in white. Keep in mind these are more towards the queen size, they shouldn't put full size misleading.

Was skepticle when I opened the package because the ivory color looked like gold; however, once I opened it up and placed it on the bed, it ended up being an antique ivory color and looks very nice. The quality of the fabric is very good. My only complaint and the reason I did not give this product 5 stars is that the stitching is crooked in places and once washed and dried, it must be ironed..unless you don't mind a lot of wrinkles.

I bought this pillow because after six years of sharing a bed I now find myself alone and wanted to be able to still sleep the way I had become accustom to. There is no way to find a pillow case that is large enough to cover this person sized pillow. I found that to be a problem if I spill anything or get it dirty, because it wont fit inside my washing machine. It is HUGE the woman cuddling in the product picture must have been an Amazon because it dwarfs me. Anyways I made the mistake of spraying some purfume on the pillow and now it wont come out. I think it was too much, because if I am the outside spoon I choke on the smell. Then if I turn around and become the inside spoon I don't feel the comfort that I need to feel safe. The pillow does muffle sobbing well and is tear resistant. Side note they are too large to go through security at the airport and will be confiscated so be careful you don't miss your flight. I surrendered mine and am not sure I will buy another.

Well, there are two types of people I see ordering this. I'm only one of those types. As such, I'll say I very much like this product. Enough said.

When I first got it I had reservations. The pillows (we got two), are a bit shorter so those who like to lean forward and rest their heads that way will be disappointed. However the rest is great. The material is soft and comfortable on the skin. The pillows themselves are very soft. They have a button so you can attach them to things while traveling. The cover comes off easily for washing and the insides are encased (unlike some pillows I owned) so there is no mess or worry about the pillow deforming after a wash. I was fairly hesitant to purchase a bed online. I did a lot of research regarding memory foam beds by reading online and also talking to sales people in stores. First I found out about different densities and materials of memory foam. Some of the ones that I saw at places such as Sam's Club were made of 100% Polyurethane. For a base Polyurethane is fine but for the whole bed it does not qualify as a memory foam. Viscoelastic is what the top part of the bed with an avg thickness of 3" (this one has 5 because it has the extra 2 inches of egg crate shaped layers for the pillow top). While some other beds have the correct material and correct thickness it might not have the correct density of the Viscoelastic. Lesser quality beds will have less density. Tempur-Pedic and other high quality memory foam beds have a density of 5.3 lbs of density. When there is less density the bed won't work like a memory foam bed. It will sag and you'll probably wake up with some sore backs. All in all this was a great deal and is a great bed. It arrived in five days from when I ordered it in excellent condition. The warranty is for ten years (amazon quotes it incorrectly).

Pros: Arrived ahead of schedule, in great condition. Very comfortable bed. I am extremely happy with it. Helps my wife a lot, she's pregnant and the memory foam helps out her back quite a bit.

Cons: Takes a week or two to "soften it up" and get used to it (but is fantastic when you get used to it). Smells like when new carpet has been put down in a house for about three weeks. I have read a lot of things about the chemical smell being toxic and causing asthma. I have had difficulties with asthma for 26 years now and can get an asthma attack from cats, dogs, dust, running, and lots of other things. I was a little worried this smell might cause some asthma attacks however, I have never had an attack from this smell. I don't wake up wheezing or anything.

Conclusion: Great bed, great deal, arrived in 5 days. For me the Cons are minuscule in comparison to the Pros. Will/have already recommended to my friends.

To make this short and sweet we paid alot of money for a sleep number bed which we suffered on for 5or so years. Finally when I could barely stand up straight in the mornings we started shopping for a new mattress. We decided on the expensive name brand memory foam mattress and were ready to sign on to a 3yr payment plan when I decided to check on Amazon. We came accross this bed and felt we had nothing to lose (it was about 15% of the price we were going to pay) and we have not regretted the decision. We have had the bed for 3+ mosno complaints!! As a person with chronic back issues, I feel great on this bedthank you!!!

Ordering and shipping went smooth, the bed was delivered on the date promised. Comparison shopping was difficult, if not impossible, but after reading as much online as I could find and trying out many other brands of memory foam mattresses, I decided to take the chance and order the Dynasty... which was a jump in faith for me. In my eyes, this was a big purchase to make without trying it out, but the reviews on Amazon were good and the price was fantastic, so we did it. I've found most other brands to be slightly firmer than the Tempur-Pedic, so with that in mind I made sure to order a softer mattress than I might normally buy. That was a good move, as the comfort level of our new mattress is about perfect (King Celebrity 12 inch.) I almost ordered the Cloud, it was a tough decision. Every brand has a distinct feel, although they are similar in many ways. This one has less of a "sinking" sensation than others but is very comfortable and back pain has been zero. The smell was not as strong as some may say, although others could be more sensitive. During the first week we stripped the sheets off every morning and opened the windows to reduce any chance of odor. There is still a slight whiff occasionally. It will take a few months before giving this a complete and fair review but we are quite satisfied so far. There is no denying the price difference, less than $800 for the Dynasty vs $4,000 for the Tempur-Pedic. That was the single biggest factor in our decision.

UPDATE: After a month of using the mattress I am thoroughly impressed and increased my 4 start rating to 5. It took a few weeks to get acquainted with the feel, as I always slept on a traditional spring mattress, but since then I have slept better than anytime in recent memory. I don't wake up in the night and hardly toss and turn, which was a regular occurrence in the past. No more back pain either. Very satisfied!

My husband and I looked at the Temperpedic memory foam mattress and I wasn't about to pay $3500 for a mattress but I've had such bad luck with the inner spring mattresses. I was a little scared to purchase such a large item over the internet but after reading alot of good reviews, I thought I'd chance it. Boy, am I glad I did! I got it in less than a week. My girlfriend and I managed to get it in the house and it took longer to get all the packaging off of it. It started expanding immediately and I was even able to sleep on it the first night. There's a little smell to it but not that terrible of an odor. I opened the windows and ran a fan and it wasn't that noticeable. When I first laid on it I thought, "Oh, this is really hard!" But after you've laid on it for a couple minutes you start sinking down in it. For around $800 you can't beat it!

Update after 1-1/2 years of sleeping on it: The mattress doesn't conform to your body. It is hard as a rock especially with two people. It gives us both low back pain.

Intex Classic Downy Queen Airbed

Well, I've had this airbed for 2 1/2 months (to replace a Coleman that only lasted a few months also which was to replace a Coleman that had lasted for years Coleman's quality has apparently went WAY down).

Anyway, about 2 weeks ago, in the middle of one of the vertical wave beams, one section became detached, and caused a 'lump' to appear. I thought "uh-oh, now I'll have a leak" but no, no leak. Within a couple days tho, more sections in that column detached, and soon the whole column was a BIG LUMP. Well, that made for an inconvenient sleep, cause it 'forced' me to one side of it during the night.

Now, as of about 4 a.m. this morning, the bed went flat so now there is hole somewhere.

I went to Intex's website, and they plainly state "No Warranty".

So, now I have a rectangular plastic pancake but at least it's a cheap pancake :)

I may have to start a museum I have 2 Colemans that are flat (the newest one popped a hole the size of your little finger, that you could hear the air escaping from across the room I tried to fix it), and now an Intex flat airbed.

I guess it's a hit or a miss as some others have had good luck with Intex.

So be aware, and remember there is NO WARRANTY from Intex, nor from Amazon if it's been used, nor new after 30 days.

They always try and say that there aren't any deals left these days...well they haven't used my air mattress.

This bed is cheap and the shipping was FAST but best of all the bed is awesome. I've had this mattress for a while and have slept on it for 2-3 days in a row when friends come into town. But I recently moved and have yet to get my new bed so I pulled this bad boy out and have been sleeping on it full time for about 2 weeks now. I am a big girl and trend to be an "active" sleeper and this bed holds up. I have added air once in two weeks (which was really due to the fact that I didn't fill it enough when I first inflated it). I have camped my whole life and have been a poor college student and then a poor entry level professional and have had all kinds of air mattress but this by far has been the best.

Being a poor college student, I've had more experience with low-to-moderately priced air mattresses in the past 5 years than most people have in a lifetime.

Compared to other air mattress brands (including Coleman) that I've used continuously over the years in the "less than $50" category, Intex has proven to be excellent with regards to price and durability (including lifespan) but somewhat less comfortable due to the larger air chambers.

Growing up in the 80's with parents who loved camping (far more than I ever will), I always associated the brand Coleman with quality and durability, and I would have expected Coleman air mattresses to be the best. Times have definitely changed though, and it's shocking that a company with a name like "Intex" could seriously have a better product than Coleman, which has almost become a national trademark and always regarded by my family as the "Cadillac" of camping gear.

Pro's

1) Price: Definitely the cheapest of the air mattresses

2) Lifespan: At least 6 months of "continuous" use by 2 adults, based on the last 3 Intex mattresses I've owned. On the other hand, I've gone through several Coleman air mattresses (both normal and raised), and none have lasted even 3 months. (The last one sprung a leak in the middle of the night, and 5 minutes later I was on the floor. Intex mattresses seem to always have an annoying bulge develop due to the air chamber seams failing long before failing completely like the Colemans.)

3) Air Valve: As others have mentioned, it's impressive that Intex decided to feature a plastic, screw-on, "2-in-1 valve" that prevents air from escaping when inflating the mattress (and also makes it easy to deflate by simply unscrewing the valve). The Coleman mattress, on the other hand, only has a standard rubber valve, like the ones commonly used on inflatable swimming pool toys.

Con's

1) Warranty: Apparently, unlike Coleman which offers a 1-year warranty, Intex doesn't seem to offer any sort of customer protection. However, despite Coleman's warranty (which has been the only reason I've stayed with them), they now REFUSE to offer replacements for air mattresses used on a continuous basis. After learning of this last summer when I called for a replacement for a mattress that didn't even last a month, I will NEVER buy another Coleman. Plus, it seems that they've become very reluctant to honor their warranties. (The Coleman customer service lady refused to offer a replacement for the last mattress unless I emailed her a photo of the original cut in half.)

2) Comfort: The large air chambers of the Intex mattress are more noticeable and less comfortable than the smaller air chambers on the Coleman.

Conclusion:

Aside from the minor annoyance of the larger air chambers (which can be alleviated with a thicker mattress pad or blanket), Intex, surprisingly, is certainly a far superior air mattress to the Coleman. For college students living in unfurnished apartments who want to stay mobile and avoid collecting heavy furniture, the Intex air mattresses are definitely the way to go, since they're cheap and will last at least a couple semesters.

If Intex decides to implement the smaller air chambers and finds a way to extend the lifespan of the air chamber seams while maintaining their current price, they will have a great product worthy of 5 stars.

We used it twice for camping. On the second time, it went flat on us. We haven't used it in any exceptional or extreme way, just a very moderate use of sleeping inside a tent. Maybe it's a defective unit but I'm not going to buy a new one to find out. This one is going back to the store and I will invest a little more to get a quality brand next time.

I bought this item thinking that it was a plush bed throw. However, only the head is plush. The quilt inside is basically cheap material, pink, light and not very good quality. Also, the zipper is very cheap as well and so the first time I went to open and then close it, the blanket had trouble fitting back in the head and the zipper caught/almost broke. Also, the head is attached to the blanket, its not a separate piece. Ultimately, I decided to just keep the blanket in the head and use it as a pillow and ornament for my couch.

Pure Comfort Full Size Flock Raised Air Mattress

I was in desperate need of a new mattress, but didn't want a conventional one because of all the flame retardant chemicals they contain. The organic mattresses are very expensive and ordering via the internet is risky, not knowing if the comfort will be just right and then not being able to get a refund. On a whim, in a moment of exhaustion, I purchased this air mattress, not really expecting it to be that great. It took a little tweeking -you can adjust the firmness with the amount of air. It does not leak at all and I've have it almost a month now. I'm not thrilled about sleeping on vinyl, but I add layers of blankets & mattress pads to the top of the bed, under the sheets. This makes it feel more like a 'real' bed. I'm used to this now and find it quite comfortable, and no back ache in the morning. Still may get an organic mattress, but the urgency is off now.

So, we bought a fixer-upper and want to be there weekends to do most of the work ourselves. Not wanting to buy separate furniture or move our 'real' furniture yet. Brought up some comfortable lawn furniture for the living room and bought two of these, thinking they'll still be nice for visitors (mostly grandchildren) after we're done using them in this phase. They have been inflated constantly since mid-October, about three months now, with both people and dogs sleeping on them, and working fine. We feel a need to top off the air about every other weekend, which isn't bad for this price range, plus it isn't hard to get to the plug and it goes really fast, maybe 15 seconds to top it off and less than 5 minutes, more like 2 or 3 it seems, to fill from scratch. Comfortable as any spring mattress set. Standard sheets fit well. Had a small leak in one last week (probably due to the dogs playing on it), patched it with the enclosed kit, and it's 100% again. No regrets. Would buy again and recommend to others.

I had family members planning to visit and wanted to stay over the weekend with me and needed an extra bed to accommodate them. Due to limited space I could only use a full size air bed, which for some reason, a raised full size air bed is difficult too find, most are queen or full sizes. when I found this one I was a little worried because the price was so low compared to others I found but decided to take a chance. The product arrived on time, I took the bed out the box, attached the electric pump which came with the bed, and immediately inflated it without any problems, everything worked fine. Because it is a raised bed, it actually inflated to the same height as my standard full size bed with box springs. The fact that the top in covered with the felt covering eliminated that unpleasant plastic feel. The raised corners around the top of the mattress worked great for both keeping the sheets in place but also keeping one from unknowingly rolling off the side of the bed. The bed inflated very quickly, although I would have preferred the electric pump be built in since it required one to hold the pump place during inflating and deflating which can get a little tiring after a while. Also the pump is a little loud when it is operating, you wouldn't want to be operating it while anyone is sleeping. Once the bed was inflated, not only was it very comfortable to sleep on, I had no problem keeping the bed firmly inflated. When I needed to deflate the bed, I had to use the pump to ensure all the air was removed, which again required me to hold the electric pump against the inflate/deflate opening on the bed until all the air was expelled, in order to flatting it out enough to repacked in the original box. All in all I am very please with this bed, can't beat the price, I would purchase it again if needed and would recommend this product to others.

Reading Wedge Pillow - Two Fills To Choose From

Heavier than I expected which is good as it will stay in place. I used a pair of pillowcases as a cover stuffing each end into a pillowcase they overlap well and are tight enough not to slide around. Plus, the edge of the outer pillowcase makes a good place to grab and carry. This is not going to work as well on my bookcase headboard waterbed with "full slosh" mattress but is perfect on the sofa and should be wonderful on a regular bed.

The reading wedge pillow is heavy enough to feel substantial and and provide excellent support but has enough squish to be very comfortable. Hesitated before spending this much on a reading wedge but but feel it's worth the money.

Note: It might work ok on the waterbed if I had a supportive headboard instead of the open shelf of the book shelf. Sometime I may try filling the shelf with boxes or large books for the pillow to rest against.

My husband has acid reflux and can't sleep flat so I purchased a foam wedge pillow for him. The first one we tried was one of those foam triangular ones the tallest one they sell I think was 11''. It was like a rock and way too high to sleep on however, we did find other more creative uses for that one tee he! Then he tried the lowest 7'' foam wedge which was not a bad height for reflux but still way to hard to sleep on and both gave him terrible neck pain because they push your head a bit forward. So much for foam wedge pillows for acid reflux!

This one was perfect! We got the feather one. It is very soft and provides just enough lift. You do smoosh down into it but it still lifts you up just enough without the hard rigidness of the foam wedges. Your head and neck are softly cradled without pushing your head forward like the rigid wedges. This worked great for my husband, I like it too and am considering getting a second one. I would recommend this especially if you hate the foam wedge you just spent over 40 dollars for. This is a great pillow!

This is a very big, high-quality pillow wedge. I'm an a BIG guy (6'5", with very broad shoulders) and this is big enough for me. My only wish is that it were a little firmer (not much, just a little) so it could do a slightly better job of propping me up for reading in bed.

For most people, frankly, this reading wedge will likely be perfect, so my giving it "only" 4 stars is only for the benefit of my fellow Giant-Americans.

I wanted this to be able to read and watch TV in bed comfortably, and it helps me to do just that. Should have gotten one long ago. Very comfortable and supportive. You can position it two ways, depending on how high you want to sit. I got the 36" with goose feathers. I made my own cover simple enough.

After recently buying a tempur-pedic bed I started searching for the perfect pillow. This is a good pillow and if you want to save yourself five dollars go to Downlite's website and order it for $75. I had a tough time finding a cover for it. Downlite actually charges $60 for its covers and you don't get much of a selection...unless you like pictures of owls. So I just went to Wal-Mart and paid $6.50 for a pillow cover. Its a tight fit and you will stuggle to put it on though.

Perfect color love the fabric only complaint would be a little to short for a king size make sure to order a skirt.

Although this duvet set looks great on the bed it has several flaws. I agree that a bed skirt is a must. I've washed it a couple of time trying to get that chemical smell out of the fabric and soften the threads. No such luck. It does wash and tumble dry nicely with very little shrinkage and now smells wonderful. If only the threads would soften to make this quilt more comfortable to sleep under. Honestly it feels much like sleeping under a potatoe sack in comparison to the sheets, which are only 250 thread count. Very disappointed and looking for something else.

I love this duvet cover. It's very elegant and roomy. There was a strong odor when I took it out of the bag, but after washing it twice (did not follow dry cleaning instructions) in the washer with fabric softener and drying in the dryer the odor is gone. The decroative pillows are kind of chintzy looking but I purchased nicer pillows at a discount home decor store which really matched it well. The color is very nice; neutral but elegant.

I have to admit these are so cute & the quality is nice-very soft. Disappointed that they were too small-just fit a twin size pillow. Also, all pillow cases open facing out. The left case was printed on wrong side so it opens inward toward center of bed. Shipping took double the time to receive so order to allow enough time for delivery.

the material is thinner than expected. hoping it will hold up ok. color is more teal than blue. picture definately shows a darker blue whick matches better. worse case we can use for a guest room, but not what we expected.

Overall is ok, color good, but size is a bit small for a queen bed. I could pull it down a bit from the top to cover bottom of mattress, but covering one side to hide the mattress leaves the other side of bed a bit uncovered.

I love these pillows. They plump right up after you open them up. slept on them for two nights now and I dont want to get out of bed.

I say "almost perfect" due to the hideous embroidery on the cover. It IS a nice cover, however they ruined it with black lattice embroidery and even lime green "bamboo" word stitching on the outside. For those of us who use white or light sheets, dark colors like this might show through. Would have been much more classy to leave the case a single color. But other than that, they are great pillows, at a lower price then other shredded Talalay Latex on Amazon. If Linenspa reads this review, I hope you will do yourself a favor and save some money by not paying for colored embroidery on your pillow covers.

My problem is that I get neck aches, headaches and even "Torticolis" (cricked neck) with most pillows. If they are too flat and allow my head to fall back, it's a problem and I awaken all night trying to fix my pillow. Flopping from side to side trying to get comfortable. Even worse though, is having a pillow be too HIGH and push my head forward, pushing my chin into my chest. That is actually even worse.

So, in my quest to research Latex, I discovered there were synthetic versions, and then there were natural Talalay versions which come from tree sap and so are sustainable and has no off-gassing. Their only caveat is to people who are known to be allergic to Latex.

After deciding I wanted Latex, because of it's buoyancy, I then had two types to choose from: shredded or one piece. The one piece pillows look really cool and do come in different heights as well as buoyancies. However, I was afraid of ordering and not selecting the right type. So I decided on the shredded. After all, you can squoosh up the shredded ones, much like those old "ticking" pillows of your grandmothers. Since they can be squooshed to your liking, they will be the right size for a wide range of people.

The Adjust-a-pillow has more stuffing so you can take out what you don't need. They also cost a little more. They claim to be a 5 lb pillow, I believe, as I wrote and asked them how much the pillow weighed. The Linenspa pillows claim to be 4.8 lbs shipping weight. Once I bought mine, I weighed it and it was 4.62 lbs which is fine. The "Z Pillows, by Malouf" here on Amazon, claim to weigh 4 lbs. Since I didn't want to be stuck with a flat pillow, that's why I ultimately chose the Linenspa pillow that was in the middle, as far as weight of stuffing. And honestly, it may be slightly high and I may have to remove a little stuffing, which is better than not having enough stuffing. I'm glad I didn't get the Adjust-a-pillow as I wouldn't have needed the extra stuffing, BUT, if you are a tall man or woman, or a big overweight woman or man, you might very well want the Adjust-a-pillow instead of the Linenspa for the extra stuffing. Or maybe if you are one of those people who loves a very high pillow. Just keep in mind from my pictures I attached above, that you can make THIS pillow the size of a basketball if you wanted.

When I received my pillows, they were in tiny boxes and vacuum packed.

The Latex is quite bouncy as other's have said. That means, you push it down as hard as you can, and it just bounces back to the original shape. With these pillows being shredded, you can squoosh, moosh, and manipulate them to your liking and they will STAY there.

I think these pillows are very nice, of good quality, of a natural substance that don't off-gas, and are finally the pillow I've been looking for. The pillows do grow in size for up to 48 hours, per the instructions, due to taking in more air from being vacuum packed.

I included another picture above to show you how the pillow has grown. So far, I'm still a little undecided on the comfort of them. It may take some getting used to.

I was looking for a replacement for the Talalay latex pillow that I've been using for awhile now and was hoping that this would some how be exactly the same. I must say that while it isn't as dense, heavy or supporting as the one I had been using was that it isn't a terrible pillow at all. The Bamboo cover is very comfortable and soft, but once you put a pillow case on it then it doesn't much matter. This pillow isn't too hard or too soft, but I just need something more supportive for my neck.

The title kind of says it all, as soon as I put a pillowcase on it and laid down to try it out I was hooked. It's my go to pillow and I get a great nights sleep on it every night.
