Good quality, but not what we thought it would look like. It is embroidered like we wanted, but not the design we wanted. It is kind of hard to tell the detail from the picture. A magnified look would have helped. It has a shimmery thread added in, so if that's what you want, go for it. Either way, I would have to say that the retailer was extremely helpful in returning the item. Great customer service!

The hotel collection linens are very good, but I had not realized when ordering that these particular pillowcases are striped. Should have zoomed into the photo. The description just says white, but they are striped. So long as that is what you are expecting, you should be pleased. If, like me, you expect something which is described simply as white to actually be solid white, NOT white striped, then look for another source. I will say the shipping was quick, the price was great, and the item was securely packaged for shipping.

Brand New Black Traditional Japanese Floor Futon Mattresses, Foldable Cushion Mats, Yoga, Meditaion.

I bought the queen size version of this exact futon on eBay for $125. Amazon did not offer bigger sizes. I wanted more room for me to sleep and if I had company over they could share it with me. It fits two people very well. These are the dimensions to the futon I bought 3" thick x 60" wide x 80" long.

My sister lives in Japan so she gave me advice on what kind of futon to get and this is the one I picked.

PROSPECTIVE BUYERS:

-These are very comfortable. This is so close to a bed I can't feel the difference.

-Skip the inflatables, cots, and what-nots. You don't have to worry about pumps and punctures.

-I highly recommend them for ANY usage (everyday, when company is over, college, camping trips etc.)

-Easy to store and transport. Just roll it up and bam! done. You can carry it alone.

-I tested my futon on carpet and on hard floors. It's just as comfortable either way.

-A lot cleaner than beds.

-It's really affordable and you will have it for a long time.

CONCERNS I HAD BEFORE I MADE MY PURCHASE:

-I didn't think it would be comfortable:

**It's very comfortable and the closest I could get to a real bed.

-I thought the material inside would be saggy and it would be like sleeping on the floor or a sleeping bag:

**The padding keeps its thickness and doesn't sag at all. It is very supportive and plush.

-I was concerned about the toxic chemical smell some reviewers mentioned:

**My futon did not have a toxic smell. It has a very light woodsy scent due to the cotton. It goes away and you can just air it out if it really bothers you.

-I wanted it to be authentic:

**The style is authentic and it's traditional. But they obviously aren't made in Japan or shipped from Japan. This was alright with me because I didn't want to pay an extra $100+ for shipping if I wanted one from Japan.

AFTER 6 MONTHS OF EVERYDAY USE:

-It's still just as comfortable and I fall asleep right away.

-I don't have any complaints and I don't wake up sore.

-I'm even considering never owning a bed again.

-The smell is completely gone.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

-I use a fitted bed sheet on mine to protect the cover and I didn't want it to get dirty.

-I bought mine in black because I thought it would be more durable and not show dirt/stains.

-Air your futon out every so often (about once or twice a month).

-I'm 21 and I'm 5'5 137lbs. It's good for me. My mom came to visit for a couple of days and she slept on it for 3 nights. She is 49 5'10 and probably around 170lbs. She said it was comfortable for her as well. I can't say much for older or heavier people. I'm sure it would be just as comfortable.

-Japanese futons are suppose to be very good for your back.

-You can buy extra covers on eBay so you can wash and replace them if it gets damaged. You can also buy different colors.

***remember I bought the queen size on eBay. It's the exact same thing just 33" wider and 5" longer.

This was on my Fiancee's wish list. I purchased it from FutonFurnitures' amazon store. The item arrived quickly and in good condition. I let my Fiancee open it early as we had just set up the Christmas tree and we wanted to sleep near the tree to enjoy the ambiance. She said it was the best she had slept in a long time. She has ordered one for me for Christmas now and I eagerly await my floor futon (shikibuton).

I purchased this as a replacement for a similar futon I purchased on ebay. The futon from ebay was $45. Because I assumed the product came from the same company, I was expecting the thickness to be the same as the one I purchased from ebay. This was not the case. The padding was thicker than my original one from ebay; though it flattens over time, you can fluff it again by opening the futon and adjusting the cotton.

The outer fabric is not as strong as the one I purchased from ebay, but it is still strong enough. My futon from ebay has a canvas-like material which was extremely durable.

If you do not want to spend the money on a J-Life futon, this is well worth the money.

It's not really as "plush" as I had hoped... When compressed it's 2 inches thick. I'd say I get 7 hours of good sleep on it until I wake up uncomfortable... : Nothing lasting though. I usually get up and go work out for 30 minutes and I'm fine. I prefer it over an inflatable mattress as those DO leave me with a lingering lower back pain, this w/ a Tatami mat does NOT.

Not really sure how practical it is but if you're into a lifestyle with as few material possessions as possible, I'd consider it an option. As it is now I'm just waiting on my new mattress to get here and I'll use this futon as a backup bed in case I need to give up my bed for some company or something.

A lot of the other reviews comment on the smell. It is true there is a smell from it, but it is the smell of the cotton batting--an earthy, organic smell that I find slightly pleasant. When you unzip it and look inside, the cotton batting is minimally processed, which in my opinion is a bonus. Once a put a sheet on it, you couldn't even smell it.

The main reason I'm writing this is I don't want people to miss out on a great mattress because they are afraid of what it might smell like. Me and my cat absolutely love it.

My husband has diabetes and tender feet. This soft and washabe pillow is a good idea to keep the covers above the feet. Didn't give it the max stars becUse it has a tendency, on occasion, to slide off the bed defeating the purpose. Good when it stays in place.

I have painful feet due to arthritis, and have a hard time getting to sleep because I can't get comfortable. My husband has to sleep on his back and the tops of his toes were getting irritated by the weight of the bedcovers. This pillow is perfect for supporting them high enough to take the pressure off his feet; the only complaint is that it tends to slide off the end of the bed. (We have a queen-sized bed but he's over 6' tall.) If they could figure out a way to anchor it in place it would be perfect!

We purchased this item along with our new mattress set back in March 2011. We have been extremely pleased with the product to date. I have washed/dried it multiple times following the directions of the manufacturer. Although, I do have to send it through a second spin cycle so that it doesn't enter the dryer dripping,(But that may be due to the crappy high-end efficiency washer we have...that's another story). It has proven to be water proof as I literally tested it by pouring 2 ounces of water on it and let it sit a few minutes, while keeping a folded towel underneath. The towel stayed completely dry. We also haven't had any issues of it causing us to overheat or sweat during the night and my honey is pretty hot natured guy. No noise or crinkly plastic sounds as we had with other waterproof mattress protectors. It's thin and the terry cloth top is soft. Since we are so pleased with this product we are purchasing another via Amazon at half the cost we paid at the mattress store.

Another important FYI, per the manufacturers 10-year warranty: "Purchase receipt for mattress and Protector must be retained to validate warranty". The mfg warranty also states: "Combined Purchase of New Mattress and Protector from an authorized Pillows Plus Retailer protects your mattress warranty." This last statement is in bold and underlined. Therefore, if you are purchasing a new mattress, it is best to purchase this item, if offered, with your mattress and keep the receipt stored with the warranty so that both your new mattress & protector are within the mfg warranty guidelines in the event of a defect. If desired, as we are, purchase additional protectors via Amazon a half the cost.

I wish I had known about this product sooner all of the mattresses in my house would have had them and the occasional "accidents" the kids had would not have been a worry. We started with one on our Memory foam mattress and we both think it's great. It feels great to know there are no dust mites "living" in the mattress! Just pop it in the washer every other week or so; have had it over a year and it's holding up well.

The mattress is a very comfortable mattress topper just as the ad says but the pillow was not a cal-king pillow plus it was just shredded foam stuffed in a pillow like you could buy anywhere for a few dollars yet I paid a lot for the pillow thinking that I was getting two cal-king contour memory foam pillows. How disappointing.

I was once upon a time very spoiled when it came to my bed. I worked at a mattress store and won any bed of my choosing at the company picnic. Of course, I chose an amazing pillow top king size worth about $2200. It was heaven. But, every mattress has a lifespan and when it was time to replace that one, I certainly didn't have the means to replace it with another one of comparable quality. By now, even that bed is about half way shot, leaving my husband and I having a very hard time sleeping on it. Especially me since I have multiple sclerosis and fibromyalgia. It got the the point where I was having to up my pain meds at night because of the mattress. We knew we had to do SOMETHING, but didn't want to buy a whole new mattress yet, so we decided to give a memory foam mattress pad a try. After doing a lot of research, we decided on a Cloud9 pad and went by the manufacturer's recommendations for the thickness, and added an extra inch due to my needs, and decided to go with the 4.3 firmness. I'd heard from others that the softer density foams can wear out faster, especially if they're slept on a lot, which mine would be during the times where my conditions flare up, and knew from experience that I didn't find super firm memory foam to be to my liking. I was also pretty excited about the "classic comfort" pillow that came with it.

When it finally arrived I was surprised at how heavy it was! I'd seen some reviews for other products saying they realized their purchase wasn't going to be the quality they wanted based on it being so light. This left me hopeful about mine. When I opened the box I found the mattress pad as tightly wrapped up as it could be, and so tightly packed in the box, I had to actually tear open the box to get it out. I had a space cleared in the living room to open it up. I CAREFULLY cut the plastic off and spread it out. I found the pillow rolled up inside. (more about that later) Once I had it open it expanded extremely quickly. There was the expected foam odor, but it wasn't nearly as bad as some people had complained foam pads to smell. Once it was on the bed my husband and I couldn't wait to try it out! I knew I wanted to put a mattress pad on over top of it to help protect the foam from any punctures, rips or tears that could happen. I wanted to protect my investment. We slept on it without a mattress pad that night and adore it. The next day we put the pad on and noticed it made the feel of the foam much different, less squishy which was a bit disappointing, but was my own fault for getting one that was too thick, interfering with the feel of the foam. I recommend some kind of cover, but not one that's very padded.

As I said earlier, it was supposed to come with a pillow. I'm not sure I'd call what I got a pillow. It ended up being a travel sized bag of foam chunks. Extremely unimpressive. It was as if they'd taken the scraps from the foam cutting floor and shoved it in a pillow case...a very small pillow case. NOT worth the extra money. I have to say though, that when I contacted the seller they eventually sent me an actual contoured foam pillow. Thin, but leaps and bounds over the scraps bag.

Since I got the memory foam mattress pad, I've been able to cut down on my pain meds and am sleeping so much better. I often wake up HOURS after I've gone to bed in exactly the same position. Before the pad, tossing and turning was the norm. I'd also had a lot of trouble being woken up by my husband getting in and out of bed, or waking up when he changed positions. He has a habit of rolling over quite forcefully, but I don't feel him at all now. It's also helped him by making the dip in the mattress on his side less noticeable. It's great!

All in all, I totally love this product, it was absolutely worth the price to get a good night's sleep like the ones I'm getting now.

Mission Statement Duvet Set Size: King

I received this as a Christmas present to use with a different duvet. I will use the lighter duvet that came with this cover in the summer. It's a lovely color, and the texture is just right; nice and smooth, but not too silky that it slides all over the place. It has buttons inside to hold your duvet in place as well. I do not use the pillow shams, but that's just personal preference. The decorative pillows that came with this set are also very nice. They are firm, not squishy under filled like with less expensive sets. This is a great set, it's even holding up well with two cats playing on it occasionally.

I was pretty hesitant when I first got it because the package it came it was flat. I was thinking, "Oh no, I hate assembling furniture." Firstly, it's a cube; Lastly, it's small. How hard can it be? It was absolutely simple! Not only that, but the leather touch feels authentic and smooth. I wanted to see how strong it was, so I made a risk of standing on it. THEN I started to jump up and down on it. Even though this item has folding capabilities, it didn't even budge or collapse from my weight (120+ibs) let alone me jumping on it. Great price, definitely worth it!

The only issue with this item is that there isn't that many colors to choose from... How's Lime Green = chocolate?

As some others have pointed out, this ottoman is not designed for or sturdy enough for sitting on a regular basis. Occasionally yes. But, don't let a 200+ pounder sit on it.

Concept and execution is good for a foldable ottoman. When folded up for storage everything fits it the lid. Very convenient.

Materials are average quality but in line with the cost. ($23)

Workmanship is reasonably good and also better than average considering the price.

I like it. Glad I bought it. I wouldn't be happy if I paid more than $23.

I would have given this product 5 stars. Although it is the perfect size and color and very durable for my needs; the chemical used in the manufacturing of this product is very strong and hard to get rid of. I ordered these pillows because they looked soft and got good ratings but when I received the box with a couple of pieces of fabric I was confused. I never heard of a pillow without any kind of stuffing before so I came back and read more about it. How rediculous they only send you the cover for that price and then your expected to hunt down the filiing and stuff it yourself.

I'm a nurse that works at night and sleeps during the day. I need a vibrating alarm clock so that I can wear ear plugs to bed. This is a terrific travel alarm clock. I am hard of hearing and take out my hearing aids at night. Then I am virtually deaf. I attach it to the under side of my pillow, set it for vibrate and it wakes me like a charm. It is very easy to use. Some alarm clocks are very difficult to program, but not this one.
