I bought the full sized buckwheat pillow. It is my first pillow of this type, and now I know that the smaller size would have been a wiser choice. Oh, and do NOT unzip this pillow to see what is inside without caution because the buckwheat will come spilling out if you are not holding the pillow so the zipper is exactly on top. There is NO inside container! I plan to turn my large pillow into two smaller ones, which will be more comfortable for sleeing and much easier to handle with my arthritic hands. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pillow! It's well made (no factory-farmed, Mal Wart cheapo here), starts out warm and fluffy, contorts to almost any position, and then solidifies while sleeping to offer firm support. (You can buy more nibs inexpensively from the manufacturer to increase the firmness, but I doubt most people would need to. You can pull nibs out, too, to decrease firmness, thanks to the wonderful zipper).

At first I had my reservations. The nibs didn't look quite as soft as the ones in the picture, and when I woke up, the nibs had all clumped into a hard mass. However, once I figured out to FLUFF IT, FLUFF IT, FLUFF IT, now I can't wait to jump into bed and sink into its warm, fluffy goodness. Plus, as I mentioned before, the clumping actually increases the support, which is nice, because my old pillow was giving me headaches.

My oldy-but-goody pillow was a memory foam, but this one is sooooo much better. It starts out soft, like a cloud, but then gets firmer, a PERFECT combination. I've also had buckwheat pillows, but they were too hard and had to be adjusted whenever I turned over-not good if you like to move!

Seriously, if you have the money to splurge, buy this pillow!!! I'm planning to invest in one of their wool comforters, next, as soon as I can afford it.

I have allergies and knew that I should switch away from a down pillow. However, I love the loft, moldability, and squishiness of down pillows. I'd looked at wool pillows before but could never bring myself to buy one until I saw this one. I was still skeptical about whether it would suit me the way down pillows do, but decided to try it anyway, after my allergy problems worsened. And, I LOVE it.

It doesn't loft in quite the same way as a down pillow, but it does have the squishiness and moldability that I like and I've had no problems with it feeling hard or too firm. I did remove at least a third of the filling, to get the feel that I wanted, so it's probably more pliable than it would be if you like a firm pillow and used all of the fill.

I highly recommend investing in this pillow if you've wanted to get away from the allergy concerns of down but couldn't give up down's other features.

I purchased this pillow from Holy Lamb Organics a few months ago. I have neck issues and need some support and this pillow caused more problems than ever! After the first two nights, I had to remove some of the wool due to the hardness after sleeping on it as that is what they suggested. I suffered with this pillow for a long time, waking up with headaches, jaw aches and neck pain every morning. This pillow may seem fluffy but as you lie on it it gets harder and harder. Who has time to fluff your pillow in the middle of the night? I finally went back to my old pillow and had the best nights sleep in a long time. It is very expensive and after you use it, it is not returnable! I do not recommend this pillow to anyone!

I have two wool pillows. This one was $70 more than the other. If I could do it all over, I would have bought 2 of these expensive pillows. There is such a difference in the quality. This pillow is stuffed with wool in a way that fills out every inch. When I air fluff it in the dryer, it fluffs it up evenly not like the lumpy other pillow. My husband & I decided on this bed after much research & deliberation. We moved 1600 miles, decided not to bring any furniture with us & we didn't have a large budget to work with. The mattress came within a couple days of placing our order in a box that was very easy to roll into the bedroom & open up. There is a lot of packaging, but once you get through all of it, the mattress pops open & quickly forms to its normal shape & size. It has a mild odor at first, but aired out within 12 hours or so. The mattress is the most comfortable one either of us has ever slept on & within the first week we were both better rested & my husbands chronic back pain is beginning to subside. No, I am sure that it is not the same as sleeping on a $1000+ mattress, however, for the price it is impossible to complain about the quality. Definitely would recommend if this is the budget range you are working with.

I ordered this mattress because of all the great reviews it had. It was meant to be used as a temporary bed while I wait for construction to end. Yes, it was pretty cool watching it go from a box to a full fledged mattress, but as excited as I was to get it, it was a huge disappointment. My initial instincts said that if they could fold this mattress into a box, its springs could not be very strong. I should have listened to my own instincts. The mattress is so soft, it's like sleeping on a bed of jello. There is no support what-so-ever. I tend to enjoy soft mattresses, but this one sinks as you sleep on it, so I wake up constantly throughout the night with back pains or with my head much lower than the rest of my body. It really is too bad, and once it's out of that box, there is no way to return it.

Had read a few reviews with the same complaint. Should have listened to them.

Last night was the first night I slept soundly, comfortably, in years.

I've had to sleep on a futon mattress on uncomfortable boxsprings for more years than I care to admit. Mattresses in my area are costly and the delivery charges outrageous. I had no idea Amazon had them until I did an oddball search. That's how I came across the Textrade Mattress in a Box.

If there had not been positive revues of this product, I never would have tried it. I mean, seriously, a mattress in a box? And one that was vacuum-sealed at that. Sure doesn't sound like it would work or be comfortable even if it did inflate properly.

But the price and reviews made it a tempting deal and I decided to try it. It was a plus that it was delivered to my door. (Unfortunately FedEx ripped the packaging. More on that later.) The mattress is literally in a box, rolled up. The box has wheels and a handle to make it easy to transport for anyone including those who live in older homes or apartments with narrow staircases. (The wheels are awesome and you could remove them from the box to reuse for another project, for you DIYers out there.)

It was actually fun to watch the whoosh of air fill the mattress and watch it grow. The instructions say to put it flat on the floor and leave for 4-6 hours so it fills to capacity. I wasn't able to do that (and after 3 hours I had to put a cover on because my dog decided she was tired of sleeping on the floor), and the mattress is flanked by two walls. One side is slightly sloped (not uncomfortable), but I know if I let more air in, it will be OK. Be sure to allow it to fill up properly and put it in a room with a door so no one (i.e. pets) can bother it.)

I purchased this with the Pragma Bed® Mattress Platform Queen. No Box Spring needed. Ideal for memory foam, latex, and air mattresses. and the Luna Premium Hypoallergenic Waterproof Mattress Protector Queen Size Made In The USA. After setting up the box springs which was incredibly easy I put the box on top of the springs for added support. (Also great for PPL who sleep on futons.) We unrolled the mattress on top and snipped away the plastic.

Shipping: This is a FedEx-delivered product. Typically, my purchases come via UPS. The driver complained that it was heavy and I actually thought I would have to get on the truck to take it out. She had me sign, but didn't tell me the packaging was ripped. I didn't discover how badly until she was already leaving. (I apparently wasn't quick enough on my feet that day.)

One of the great things about this is that the box has wheels and a handle to make it easy to move around. It would have been a cinch to get into the house if the entire lid had not been ripped off. It was hanging by a small piece of tape, which prompting broke off as I grabbed the handle. The driver made certain the lid looked like it was on as she pushed it out of the truck. I started really inspecting the packaging as the driver left and took photographs, which I sent to Amazon. I'm not sure how it is in your area, but I have had many items delivered broken or in bad packaging by FedEx. Never UPS.

So, the mattress rocks. The shipping did not. Fortunately, there was nothing wrong with the mattress when I inspected it. It is double-wrapped for added protection and the thick plastic covering it makes it pretty difficult to damage. However, without the lid where the handle is the box was difficult to manage.

PLEASE dont buy this mattress. This thing sags in the middle and doesnt support your body like some of the few reviewers have pointed out. I got carried away by the good reviews, and didnt give much importance to the bad reviews, and i am only posting this comment so that others wont repeat the same mistake. mattress is something you use for one third of your whole day. there is nothing else you would use as much. i actually even stay in my bed throughout the time i am at home!! so when it sags in the middle and makes me so uncomfortable in my back, its not worth at all. there is no way to return this product either. It has been such a bad proposition for me. I cant invest in another mattress after I already paid 300 bucks on this one without using it for a few yearsthat would really make me feel guilty. so now i am stuck with this stupid thing.

This pillow is exactly what i had hoped it would be. very lightweight and extremely comfortable. it does not loose its shape . If you want it fluffy easily fluffs with a couple of old fashioned grandma hand fluffs. the first night i slept on it for the first time since i can remember i awoke the next morning with no allergy symptons. it it hypoalergenic and they mean it. I would definatly reccomend this product with a solid five star rating. yes it is not cheap but compared to how much i have spent on store bought pillows that are useless after just a couple of weeks I am saving a bundle. I have not tried to wash it yet but it is the perfect size for washing and i expect no problems. for a good night sleep please do yourself a favor and order for you and your family. Back sleeper or side sleeper or tummy sleeper it does not matter this pillow conforms to you. Sleep should be nurturing and restfull and most of all YOU DESERVE THE BEST!!

I was so excited when I saw the commercial on tv for this pillow. I thought "Finally! A pillow that could work for me!" I have been through pillow after pillow and nothing works to support my head and neck properly. I received this pillow as a Christmas gift last year and couldn't wait to use it. For the first month or so, it worked great! But then....it started to get flat. The main reason I bought this pillow was because of the design. Thankfully, I was not disappointed at all. The design is just beautiful! The pillow is also stuffed well so there is no random dead spots. The only thing that I would have to say was bad is that you can't really use the pillow. It is mostly for decoration unless you like to sleep on hard designs. Nonetheless, this pillow is amazing and deathnote lovers would be proud!

Well, this is a neat plush pillow decoration. Not something you'd want to lay your head on, but you could I would imagine. The fabric is pretty rough, and the print is screen print, so you wouldn't want to wash this. If you want a neat decoration, this is awesome.

The Embrace body-pillow became an instant family favorite and I suspect that we'll end up purchasing another one, as soon as I can figure out how to launder them in the future. The kids absolutely love it -something about the mega-size! -and I find it really comfortable.

PHYSICAL FEATURES::: You should note it is extra large: not only in length, but width. About the same length, in fact, as my 11 year old daughter who thinks it would make a great bed for friends during a sleepover. You should also note that it is heavy for a pillow, about 10 pounds, and that lugging it from bed to bed is no minor matter. As for the 'feel' it's fair to say that it has a soft exterior, and yet is firm. I didn't find, for example, that it needed fluffing during the night.

It comes in a large-ish box, nicely wrapped. The pillow had no 'funny' odor and didn't need any airing out before use. I did wash the pillow case that comes with it, but that's just the way I am. I wash everything before we use it.

My own experience with the body-pillow was really good. I happen to have a back problem -the ever-popular L4/L5 compression -so I'm used to snuggling with what I call a 'support' pillow which I sometimes just lean on, and other times put between my knees to reduce pressure on my vertebrae when they act up. The Body-Pillow worked great for this. It was soft enough to be comfortable, and firm enough not to need fluffing during the night.

THE SKINNY:::

This pillow is extra-large and consequently heavy. It's about as wide as a thin person, so keep this in mind before you press the order button.

My daughter, currently 11, has no problem sleeping with this pillow in her twin bed when it's her turn. Your experience may differ depending on how much room you need.

Concerns::: I have only one concern and it involves washing. There is no way the body-pillow is going to get it in a standard washing machine so if the dry cleaners can't deal with it when the time comes, I don't know what I'll do when it's spring cleaning time.

Generally speaking, I'd say that you'll like this pillow if you like to sleep in that position that's between on-your-side and on-your-stomach. You'll be able to throw arm and leg over this pillow and not find that it gets all nasty and flat. It's soft but firm.

I suffer from bulging discs in my lower back which causes me a great deal of pain. I have gone through physical therapy and I'm getting ready to go to pain management. This body pillow does help alleviate some of the pain and pressure in my lower back. It will contour to your body. I placed the pillow on the couch and then laid directly on top of it with my back facing it. It was the best feeling that I've had in a long time. It is so comfortable. You immediately get that relaxed feeling! The memory foam had me in a state of euphoria. The pillow is rather large and a little heavy to carry around. I'm 5 feet 1 inch and the pillow is just about as big as me! It comes with a pillow case. The gel-infused memory foam pillow is actually inside an outer layer (fabric cover) that looks a little something like one of those removable pillow top mattresses. The outer layer that encloses the pillow actually zips up and the pillow case goes over the top of that. The pillow does come with a 5 year limited warranty which covers the fabric cover and the foam material and severe body contours. There is information in the package that goes over all of that. The following information that I have provided below is from the Sleep Innovations paperwork that came with the pillow. I wanted to include it because it may help you in making a purchase decision.

The actual pillow is filled with Memory Clusters and per Sleep Innovations, "they are a premium, non-allergenic fill designed to emulate the loft and softness of natural goose down. And just like natural down Memory Clusters have a tendency to settle over time. In order for you to experience all the benefits of your new pillow, we recommend you fluff the pillow before your first night, and every few nights after. This helps your pillow keep its original shape and allows it to provide years of deep comfort and lasting support." Sleep Innovations also state the following, "Gel-infused memory foam is sensitive to temperature. When exposed to colder climates, your pillow will become firmer. Please allow at least 24-48 hours for your new pillow to renew its feel once placed in room temperature. Sleeping on your pillow before it warms to room temperature will not damage it. Your body heat will help the foam to soften." You can find more information at their website.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the pillow!

Pros: Low maintenance, pillow case and fabric cover are washable, contours to the body really well, made with breathable material and is inexpensive.

Cons: Rather large, a little bulky and heavy to carry around.

Will I recommend it? Most definitely!

About a year ago, I had purchased a good quality body pillow from Amazon that I was really happy with. Recently, I took the pillow with me on a weekend trip, and accidentally left it behind. I returned to Amazon to buy a replacement, only to find that the pillow I had purchased previously is no longer available. So, I began my search anew, and decided on this one. As soon as I opened the package I knew I had a winner. The quality is absolutely top notch, with gusseted sides, and a cover that feels divine. This is a big, heavy, robust pillow, like previous reviewers have mentioned, and that's one of the things I like about it. So, the silver lining to the cloud that was my leaving the previous pillow behind was finding this even better one. This one truly is my "holy grail" body pillow; everything I've wished for.

I chose this body pillow because I've never owned one before, & because if I was going to get one, I wanted to buy the best one I could find. I have become a huge fan of the 8" memory foam mattress I purchased last November, & I wanted a memory foam pillow to go with it. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this pillow is made, & it is as good of a quality as I'd hoped for.

As a body pillow, this one is quite snuggable... You can just plop on this thing, or snug up to it, unwind, clear your head, & forget your cares. I was afraid as a down-alternative item, it would hold & collect body heat, like my old mattress' down-alternative mattress topper did. It doesn't. I not only don't roast under the covers with this pillow, but in fact, I almost wish it collected a little more heat & got a little warmer than it does but I know it's neutrality regarding body heat will make it much nicer to use in the summer time. It doesn't make me cold to sleep with it, but it doesn't heat up either.

As a bed pillow, I actually like sleeping on this pillow like a "regular bed pillow", more than the firm Serta pillow I own. To me, it just seems to be more compatible for use with my memory foam mattress, than my regular pillow does. My mattress is queen, & this pillow almost completely spans it end to end eliminating the need for large pillows.

It is too soft for me to use it as a back rest to sit up against & read, or use a laptop PC but if it were, it wouldn't be as functional as a soft huggable body pillow.

The white microfiber pillow case this pillow comes with is equally amazing. I have tried several other body pillow cases, even microfibers & micro-suedes, & nothing works as well with this pillow as the white outer microfiber case that was packaged with it. The outer cover is not shown in the ad picture, but you will receive one "premium white body pillow case" with this purchase. The cover feels like a cross between a micro-suede & a velvet, & is 1" wider than many body pillow cases sold, perhaps to accommodate the thick gusset. No other cover I've bought for it feels as comfortable, is as nice a quality, or works as well with this pillow as its own case does. I contacted Sleep Innovations to see if I could purchase some extra pillow cases like this one, & see if they sold them in other colors but they told me they only sell these cases with this pillow, & that people can't buy this same exact identically made case any other place.

I wondered exactly how this pillow was constructed so before I put the outer cover on, I unzipped the fiber filled outer shell, to see it's construction. When you unpack it, take it apart to see how it's made, & redistribute the self-contained foam core before using it.

The outer casing that unzips contains a down alternative fiber filled hypoallergenic (not just regular cotton material) sleeve.... At it's core, is a rectangular bag made of what feels like heavy white "felt" (I've seen some water bed mattress pads made of this material).... This inner felt bag contains small particles of chopped up foam, varying in size. It is definitely NOT one solid piece at the core, like many memory foam pillows are. Once I pull the core out, I was able to move the foam around inside the bag, fluff it, & redistribute it more evenly than it arrived as packaged. Either the memory foam itself, or some material in between the foam (?) contains a kind of squishy gel, which ads to the overall "visco-elastic" memory foam feel of the pillow when you are in contact with it.

If this pillow seems "lumpy" at first it will feel *much* more comfortable once you unzip it, get inside, take the core out, squish them around & evenly redistribute all of the foam particles, & give them a few minutes to fully expand then put it all back together. It's really pretty neat that we can do this, because this feature lets people adjust & re-adjust the firmness of the pillow for however they wish to use it. Be careful & take your time putting pillow covers on these, because if you pick it up by the end & shake it downwards you will pack down the memory foam tight at the opposite end. I only recommend doing this only before pillow fighting....to achieve maximum results. :)

I am extremely sensitive to chemicals, & unlike my memory foam mattress I was not bowled over by chemical fumes by this pillow. Amazingly, I did not have to air it out before I used it, & it did not set off my allergies or asthma. I am thankful & impressed.

I've only had this amazing pillow for a couple weeks, but so far...I like snoozing on this pillow as well as my queen 8" memory foam mattress itself.

I prefer a really good firm pillow and since I'm preparing for surgery I wanted something that wouldn't completely squish flat when used, so I'm pleased with this pillow.

Note that when it is shipped it is folded in half and compressed. The polyfill was quite bunched up in places and it took quite a bit of "massage" work to get the pillow into usable shape without any lumps. Since the pillow is large and bulky, you need to make sure you have the strength to do the work. But the results are good. The pillow case that came with it was very soft and quite nice.

I had a very bad neck pain that ran down my right arm for two weeks and so I went to a chiropractor who, predictably, told me my neck was in a very bad way, I had herniated discs and that I needed 3 sessions a week at $50 a pop for at least 3 months.

So I got this pillow and I was better within 4 days. It's very comfortable and I now use it as my regular pillow.

The pillow has definitely helped me to sleep longer and more peaceful. It isn't perfect but so much better than a regular style pillow. Best to lay on your back and I do miss sleeping on stomach. Neck ache won't allow it. Good product. Very happy. I feel better and I am a nicer person due to it.

I got one for Christmas last year, 2010. I have very bad Jaw joints & am always looking for a comfortable pillow & one that would help with my morning wake up headaches. I was skeptical, read the reviews good & bad & decided to give it a try. The first few days using it my headaches were worse, but after the 3rd or 4th night...A dream to sleep on. Really has helped, I love it and couldnt sleep without it now.

The only downside is I will need a new one this year, since the V cushion breaks down a little. But the pros far outweigh that & I will be ordering another one this Christmas. Highly recommend, for Jaw joint problems & headaches.
