This is a very pretty decorative pillow but unfortunately the "petals" wilt when sitting on my couch. They look very sturdy in the picture but I am constantly flipping the petals up since then sag or fall down. The "maroon" color is definitely more of a "dark rust." The tag on the pillows themselves says "rust" so I don't know why they're listed as maroon on here. Plus they do not have any gold accenting on them at all. Thankfully, my decor is such that these will still be OK, but this wouldn't work for everyone. Quality overall seems good. I could likely use these and change the covers for quite some time.

Croscill Santa Fe 18-Inch Square Pillow

Bought the king comforter set and curtains and really liked them. I thought I'd try the matching pillow to go with my previous purchases. When I received the 2 pillows I was surprised because the front is as pictured but the back side is solid brown like the darker brown that is in the comforter and front of the pillow. I like this contrast and was very glad I made this purchase. I feel that they need to show both sides in the picture to give a better idea of what your getting.

This pillow adds a pop of color with a southwest flair. I'm thinking of getting the comforter set for another room. If you are looking for a southwest geometric pattern with a warm range of colors, this is a great choice. Love it!

Dreamaway Waterproof Mattress Protector

I give this three stars not because of the quality, but because of the fit. I ordered the full size for my son's bed, and was disappointed that it did not fit. (Didn't even come close to fitting). I had to exchange for a queen, and that fits my FULL size mattress like a glove.

I would suggest save yourself the time and order the queen if you have a full bed

After opening the bag and seeing the volume, I was quite concerned that my fitted sheet would still fit over my mattress, but it actually fits better. It's much easier to make my bed now that I don't have to tuck in the fitted sheet along the sides of my bed. I am quite fond of that.

The fit of the protector itself is quite snug and the material/elastic on the sides is much higher quality than any other I've owned. I had to tug quite hard and never once did I think I would come close to ripping it.

There are two things I'm not so crazy about, but they are minor issues. First, washing is not a problem in my regular size machine, but drying is time consuming. I would suggest only washing this when it can be dried outside in the sun all day. There is one corner of the protector that seems to have more stuffing than the others. It took two drying cycles and hanging in the sun for four hours for that section to dry sufficiently. (I followed the directions on the care tag to stop the dryer and reposition the protector for even drying.) The other issue is that every time you turn in bed, it's a little noisy. But unless you are a very light sleeper like me, this should not affect your decision to purchase.

All in all, this is a nice quality mattress protector that adds a nice bit of poofiness to your bed.

The Pros

It's cheap

It's thicker, so there's a nice bit of cushion

it is waterproof, though I cleaned up the spill after a couple minutes (didn't let it soak through)

The Cons

It doesn't fit super deep mattress, it barely fit ours which is 17in (yes I know it says 15 but it's hard to find sheets that fit ours that isn't pricey)

It slides a bit after you put sheets on it, not horribly so, but noticeably

It's hotter than our previous mattress pad (though that one was thinner, although both were waterproof)

Bottom line, if you need a cheap waterproof mattress pad that has a bit of cushion to it I'd get it. I haven't left a stain on there past a couple minutes, and I haven't washed it yet, I will update when I do.

Update Oct 2012:

It washed fine, but it's much, hotter than my last mattress pad and sometimes moves with us in the middle of the night if it gets really hot. I think it'll be perfect for winter and fall, but for summer I'll be sticking with my thinner one.

This is a really great mattress pad. We have had it for several months now.

My husband was having back pain from sleeping on our waterbed, so we bought a new mattress. Then I started having back pain, because the mattress was too hard. We tried some fairly cheap mattress pads with no real satisfaction. Finally we decided on the Soft Sleeper 6.5 3" Memory Foam Mattress Pad. Initially we were a little disappointed, because we thought it would softer than it is. We wanted to give it a fair chance, so we kept sleeping on it. Soon my back pain went away. My husband also really likes it. If I had it to do over again I may have purchased the 2.5", but I have no regrets on this purchase. I think it is slightly thicker than what we would need.

I was also glad that the mattress pad completely covers the mattress. I saw a number of mattress pads advertised that are considerably smaller than the mattress measurement. This pad is definately the full 60" x 80" that our queen size mattress is.

I purchased this soft sleeper 6.5 queen mattress pad back in Oct. 2007. Nine months later this pad is total junk! It did not hold up at all, very uncomfortable, and bottomed out (meaning it leaves an indentation where you sleep & the part where you sleep usually has no support anymore)! Beware of buying this because it will NOT even last a full year! The seller misrepresents the density of this foam (having people think it is 6.5) it's not! This pad is approx. 2 lb density (I figured it out). Also it is stated as being 3", it is only 2 1/2" another misrepresentation! Can I say JUNK!!! Beware, spend your money on a better pad & make sure you purchase at least a 4 lb density NOT like this mattress pad. This is a total waste of your money! Didn't even get a yrs. use out of this!!

My body feels better getting up after sleeping soundly. Having had pain all the time when lying down, now my body can be cushioned and not have resistance that caused the pain. The 3inch 6.5lb. feels better than the Tempur-Pedic mattresses I was looking at for an unreal amount of money. Even the free pillow was better than the $100 Tempur-Pedic pillow I have had for years. I invested in a good mattress, but often had a hard time sleeping on it because it would get so uncomfortable during the night that I'd move between the bed and the sofa to get some sleep. I did my research on memory foam pads and decided on this mattress pad. I must say that it is so comfortable that I can finally use my sofa for what it was intended for! I can sleep in my back or on my side and it cradles so that you don't move that much. My dog, who usually prefers the floor, can be found crashing on the bed during the day as well. I only wish that it came with a mattress pad, but perhaps that's why it can be offered at such good price. I am having a hard time finding one that is only 3# deep. The covers are either for feather beds/ duvets, or for the full matress. I settled on one from Ikea that wraps like a fitted sheet. Not ideal, but works for now.

All in all, I'd definitely recommend this pad to anyone looking for a good, comfortable mattress topper that's soft as a cloud but with good support.

We bought these pillows to replace the $8 walmart pillows we were using (you get what you pay for). I LOVE them. My head sinks in and I can re-fluff them and shape them any way I want. However, my husband doesn't like them (which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5). He thinks they offer enough support and flatten out too easily. I guess I just like my pillows softer and he likes them firmer. So if you're looking for firm support, this isn't it. If you're like me and like to sink in to your bedding, these pillows are fantastic. Good price too.

My girlfreind brought his down pillow over to my apartment since she was sleeping there every night, I got pretty jealous and would steal it whenever I went to bed before hier. As soon as I felt these pillows I knew that they were not as advertised. I searched for the "content tags" and they had been removed! Wish I had read the reviews. One of the reviewers reports that the tags said the pillows were 95% feathers instead of the 75% down that was advertised. That seems about right. These pillows are very stiff and hard. They don't behave at all like down-filled pillows. (I already have a 75% down & 25% feather pillow for comparison). Also, the cloth cover is definitely not "600 thread count", and not down-proof. It appears that the seller read the negative review and removed tags on future pillow orders. I believe this sale with tags missing was illegal, and the written misrepresentation of content was certainly immoral.

The main reason I bought this pillow was because of the design. Thankfully, I was not disappointed at all. The design is just beautiful! The pillow is also stuffed well so there is no random dead spots. The only thing that I would have to say was bad is that you can't really use the pillow. It is mostly for decoration unless you like to sleep on hard designs. Nonetheless, this pillow is amazing and deathnote lovers would be proud!
