Skyrest Travel Pillow - A15973

I took a trip out of the country a year ago and bought this out of sheer curiosity. When it arrived, I was using it while resting at home on my sofa, it was so comfortable! You have to be somewhat comfortable in your own skin to use it on the airplane, as it is definitely odd-looking: you will get some strange stares and it's best to have a good sense of humor about it. But it made those long flights bearable, and I slept very nicely. I'm leaving this week for the same trip as a year ago, and am very glad I have my Skyrest pillow.

On another review somewhere (the one that convinced me to buy it originally) I saw something like "As long as you can ignore the laughing and staring of the other passengers, you will sleep like a baby." It's true! They ended up jealous...after seeing the quality sleep I was getting.

I purchased this pillow before an overseas flight. My intention was actually to use it as an ottoman under my feet and legs when sleeping. My legs are just short enough that they usually don't rest comfortably on the floor of the plane ~~ the seat edge cuts into the backs of my legs. Fortunately, I had a window seat, so I was able to partially inflate the pillow, fill the floor space in front of me, and with my legs nicely supported sleep more comfortably. I did not try it in the position pictured, as I have neck problems and can't turn my head like that. It seems sturdy construction. I will use it on future flights, and I think that because of its size, when partially inflated to various degrees it has other possibilities as a pillow, lumbar support, etc. (will do some imaginative experimentation) ~~ whereas other smaller inflatables are pretty much usable only as designed.

This product does exactly what it promises. And, it is quite comfortable. However, it seems to be designed for Coach class. The space between the passenger seat and the seat in front of you is too far in First Class to comfortably lean into the pillow if it rests against the seat in front. You could put it in your lap...but, then you are very conscious of stablizing it to keep it snug against your body.

Was pretty upset thought it was the actual pillow itslef. Thats what happens when you dont fully read. :( But other than that recieved this product in great condition and on time.

For the third trimester I have used this every day to get some decent sleep so having a pillowcase cover change was essential.

However, this product gets 3 stars versus 4 or 5 because it is VERY difficult to change the pillow cover, almost a ridiculous challenge. The design needs a zipper for easy pull on and off. Plus the curved inside seams at the ends are pulled so tight that it feels uncomfortable when laying on the body.

This saved me from back and hip ache throughout pregnancy. It was so comfy and I used it in bed as well as napping during the day on the couch etc. Make sure you have somewhere to store it though when not in use as it is a large product. Really glad I bought this. The only downside is that it is really quite difficult to change covers/pillow slips.

After a bad incident with my cat I was wary about cheap pillow/mattress protectors that aren't actually waterproof.

When I got these I tested it and it is ACTUALLY waterproof. The pillow protectors cover the entire pillow and the terry cloth outside is actually soft and pleasant enough to sleep on. High quality and a good investment for my more expensive pillows.

I have actually never bought a pillow protector before. I always figured there would be some kind of noise whenever I would move. However, last year I bought the Luna brand mattress protector and I absolutely loved it! It passed it's test with my 2 year old and dogs so I decided to try the pillow protectors as well. So far, they are just as amazing. They have a plastic like film on the bottom but they have a terry cloth on top which makes it much more comfortable and it does not have any noise which I was thrilled by. I'm expecting these to help keep some extra life on my pillows this time around.

I was finally able to spend a night with my new pillow the day before yesterday and last night and I have had the best two nights sleep I have had in a long, long time. This pillow has to be as close to perfect as you can get.

I am a side sleeper but I think this pillow will work for anyone--anyway they may prefer to sleep.

Now that I have stated how wonderful this pillow is let me caution you that you will not be able to use it for several days because of the odor given off when it is unwrapped. I have owned a number of different memory foam products and they all seem to have some odor but this pillow was obnoxious at first. First day I started to let it air in the living room and it made the whole room unbearable--and I have a BIG living room. Then I moved it out to the screened in lanai and you could smell it as soon as you entered the lanai. Eventually the odor dissipated (with A LOT of help from Febreze).

I would suggest to the manufacturer that he airs these things out before he sends them--maybe they should not be custom made to order but make some up ahead of time??? Or, send Febreze with the pillow.

Anyway, if you can manage to wait the extra shipping days and the time it takes to get rid of the odor you will fall in love with this pillow.

This may sound like a lot of complaining but it really is a good pillow. My wife tried it and now she wants one as well so we will go through all this again--but it is worth it for the quality of sleep this pillow helps you get.

When I first looked at these pillows through the frosty plastic bag, I did not like them. The colors looked wrong. What was supposed to be burgundy looked brown, and the turquoise seemed overwhelming. But I took one out of the bag just to see if it made a difference, and boy, did it! Best thing about this bed is that you don't roll off. The sides are turned up a little to keep you in. It was confortable sleeping had a guest who slept on it for a week straight. The cover material is soft and not slippery. It has a groove where you can (kind of) tuck in the sheets it does keep the bottom sheet in place. Also, it was easy to deflate and it even fit back in the tote bag!

This review is a little hard for me to tell the truth. First I must say that if you buy one and are lucky

enough to get one that does not leak you should be happy with it. Originally my wife bought two.

both of us have bad backs, we are older. For us this bed helped a lot. Unfortunately we had problems with the bed leaking and getting the order completed. These were sold by Amazon from windyCity.com. When we purchased two the first time only one arrived. Thinking it was a back order problem we set it aside and waited for the second one for a week. I finally after reading the packing slip carefully realized the packing slip said 2 shipped and the weight of shipment corresponded to only one. I then called Windycity and they realized the mistake and shipped a second one. Unfortunately once it came we gave away our bed to some college kids that needed one. They were sleeping on the floor waiting. The problem started when we blew them up. We actually blew the first one we received for my wife( it had been with us a sufficient lenght of time in the warm house) and I waited two days and slept on the couch while the new one warmed up. My wife was very happy with it. So I inflated mine as directed; later that night it felt very soft I thought nothing much about it figured it was stretching out and blew it back up. The pump is built in that is a very good feature. However in the morning I was on the floor. After searching I found a small leak and patched it with the kit they include. I blew it up again and it seemed ok for a while but by evening it was obvious it was still leaking somewhere else. Try as I might I could not find the leak. After debating with trying to call WindyCity and have to return it if they would take it and from other reviews it seemed pretty hopeless. I ordered a third one because I needed the bed quickly and I could not stand the forever back and forth emails and phone calls and shipping it back. It was easier to just get a new one. The last one I ordered came and it was fine, no problems, my back is great. That would have been end of story but Amazon asked me to do a review on the bed and several other things witch never was posted. Instead I get WindyCity emailing me saying I only bought one from them and to retract the review. And if they made a mistake "Well so be it" was the response. I emailed them back and told them what had happened I said as long as the question has been raised as to my honesty and all you could make it right by sending me a new one I'd keep as a spare or pay me back for the flat piece of plastic with a hole in it. I have waited more then a week and they have not answered. So in the end I had to buy three bed to get two. One showed up then the second then a third.

I received this item January 10, 2011 and it just stopped holding air two days ago. I DID NOT do anything but lay on this bed. No jumping...no sharp objects nearby...I even wrapped it up in an over-sized mattress pad to protect it!

Upon trying to return it, I discover that today (Feb. 13) was the last day on the return policy...so I'm out my dollars and my "supposed to be" quality product!

I purchased 2 twin Intex Supreme Air-Flow airbeds to put in our RV. We put them together to make a king size and then put a memory foam mattress topper on top so there would not be a seam. We are sleeping so well that I am thinking of ordering another set for our home. I must mention that I suffer from a lot of back, neck and leg pain finding a compfortable bed is not an easy task. I just hope they will hold the air for long term use. I will be checking this before I purchase another set.

I've had the same buckwheat pillows for years and my husband and I love them. I made the mistake of trying to wash my husbands and it fell apart. The pillow itself is wonderful. I even take it when traveling. I have arthritis very bad and this pillow helps a lot. You do have to get used to the noise, but after that you will love it. I purchased my first pillows from Natures pillows,Inc. I bought the 20x15 and it fit the standard size pillow cases. I just ordered the same pillow size from amazon and I couldn't believe how small the pillow was. I sew and I measured the pillow and it was 17x13. The person who made these pillows needs to learn how to measure. It is so small that it doesn't even fit in the pillow case. The pillows are great it's the size that you have to watch out for. We just kept the pillow, because I got a good deal on the price, but will go back to Natures Pillows, Inc to purchase more.

I bought my pillow 10 years ago and I absolutely love it. I can't sleep without it. Most people think that the crunchy hulls will be scratchy or noisy at night. But it's not! It's soft yet firm enough to support my head. I alternate between sleeping on my side and stomach and it conforms perfectly to my head no matter what. I'm buying two more bigger ones right now!

I had one of these pillows a long time ago. I liked it but it was too small. When I read that they had standard pillow size and queen I thought the standard was a new improved normal sized pillow but it's not. It's still the same little pillow as before and it doesn't seem to have enough filling in it either. I will probably end up ordering a second pillow to fill my pillow case and have a big enough pillow to sleep on. Other than that I love the buckwheat pillows, I just wish I would have ordered the queen size because that is probably closer to normal size.

I bought 2 Buckwheat pillows from HSN years ago and LOVED them.. They finally wore out, and so I went and bought this Sobakawa buckwheat pillow. I received it yesterday, and there is hardly any buckwheat filling in it...it's absolutely ridiculous!! My old buckwheat pillow which I'm trying to replace for a firmer pillow, is even better than this 'new' one... Very Cheaply made... I've owned the travel sized pillow for over 5 years now and I can't sleep on anything else. (The travel-sized one just fits your head comfortably.)I've taken it to youth camps, sleep-overs, trips and I would still sleep on it every night. This pillow keeps your head cool at night and is very supportive. It also gives food support when you just want to prop-up to read a book or watch tv. I am a stomach sleeper and a side sleeper...it works fine for both since you can mold the pillow to your liking.

At first, I quickly got used to the slight 'crunchy' noise , but it isn't loud or constant all through the night. And it is much heavier than your normal pillow, but that shouldn't matter when it's just on your bed.

It's time for a new one. I've decided to grab myself a new one since it feels a little less supportive now after my everyday and travel use. This time it will be a full sized one! I'll definitely continue to use my travel sized one on trips!

This crib set could not be any cuter than it is. It appears to be well-made, though I have honestly not taken it out of its plastic casing yet because my baby is not born yet. Still, I am very happy with the purchase (but I got it somewhere else on clearance), and I cannot wait for my daughter to use it.

This is a great gift idea for any mother-to-be who owned a Care Bear growing up.

My husband and I purchased this for our baby girl and it is ADORABLE! When I found the bedding set, I was all set but extremely bummed when I found out that the set didn't come with the mobile. I searched every where for it in a physical store and didn't have any luck because the designer of the bedding set had stopped making the set at all. I turned to Amazon and of course, they didn't let me down! It was easy to put together, plays Brahm's Lullaby and looks adorable on her crib. Anyone who purchases this is going to LOVE it!!

I wanted to start saying that this is definitely not a matelasse in the way we are used to the portuguese matelasse. With this clear, now I can give my review on this sham. I will summarize by saying I am happy with it.

PROS

1.It has a fair price as it is a large sized sham.

2. The red color is so rich and happy, not a faded tone. It really brightens and enriches a bedroom, with the look of more expensive bedding.

3.It is of thin material, which is an advantage for many people and not what some people might want. So keep this in mind.

4.It is so washable.

5.Because I wash it every week due to my allergies, I can say it is good quality, as it hasn't faded, shrunk nor ripped.

CONS

1.Blend of cotton and polyester, which might bother some people that want all cotton, but along comes the price tag.

2.It can feel a little rough, but not an issue for us at home.

3.Made in China, then again, that is probably the reason for the low price. So you have to weigh in price or American made!

This product was nice and I thought the quality of the fabric was excellent. Had the look of a custom made pillow sham.

I don't know what I was thinking. I was not familiar with the "Matelasse" products. I think I had them confused with another. This sham and the bedspread are much lighter weight than I wanted, however, they are very pretty and I am going to use them. I should have realized, when the cost was really all I could afford, that this wasn't what I was looking for. Not the fault of the supplier. This sham was "as advertised."

This pillow is not too bad, but 'harshly' made fake fur, which looks like an inexpensive teddy bear. I had recently bought a couple of faux mink throws by Tourance and the quality doesn't even compare! The Tourance throw, in the same color, chocolate, is so supple and luxurious, it resembles real fur. This doesn't, not by a long shot.
