Mabis/DMI healthcare Foam Cervical Comfort Pillow, Blue

I'm a tall guy, 6'1", 170#, and have sleep apnea, wear a full face CPAP Mask. My entire life I have done what I can to support my neck and crane my head back to breath (the CPAP helps a TON, but I still need neck support). I did not like this "pillow" at all, and will not be using it. The "pillow" portion is too hard (same firmness as neck portion, and same as "neck roll" product made by same company). The pillow hurts my head in just a few minutes. If they could use a firm foam for the neck and a less firm foam for the pillow part, that would make it much better.

It is also very narrow, measuring only 16" side to side.

I would recommend insted that you get the neck roll by the same manufacturer. I have used the 3" diameter x 19" roll for about a year, sticking it in my pillowcase and under the edge of my pillow. It's not nirvana, as it tends to move around, but it is MUCH better than nothing at all, and so far the best product I have used. It has gone 1/2 flat now, so I bought this pillow and a 5" diameter neck roll. The 5" dimeter neck roll is too big, but I have used it now several days, and it is o.k.-ish, and it will eventually go "flat" too, maybe making it just right, right?

I also tried the formed contoured memory foam pillow, and it set of my athsma so bad I returned it. Memory foam outgasses so bad, I would not recommend it for anyone with alergies or sensitivities. If you NEED/LIKE Memeory foam, take the product out of the package, and let it air out for a month at least somewhere well ventilated.

I've had a cervical pillow for many years, it's quite helpful when I have a bad headache. I wanted to replace it (it's falling apart now), so I ordered this one, which looks the same. Nope! The part that goes under your neck has no "give" to it, so not only is it uncomfortable, but also holds your neck and head in a bad position making your neck curve too much. Instead of helping with a headache, this pillow would actually cause one. I sent it back immediately! I was pleased with Amazon, though, for giving me free return shipping.

I bought this pillow in the hopes that it was something that would work for my particular situation but it was not helpful at all. If anything it was very uncomfortable and I ended up giving it away. I would never buy anything similar to it again because it cannot be adjusted to the height of one's neck. The foam is also really hard. I suffered a car accident and have whiplash and this was NOT the pillow for me.

This pillow did not work for me. The neck support is way too high for me. I have a short neck. Don't order it unless you have a long neck and you like your pillow extremely firm. For me it is way too hard. Other than that seller service was good. I receive the item promptly and in new excellent conditions. I would not purchase this item again but I will order from this seller again

Contour 4Flip Pillow

I ordered this pillow because I sometimes like to watch movies from bed, It turns out I did not make the right choice. It's literally two pillows sewn into one. It's far too plushy to support any weight to lean against. I tried flipping it every which way and could not find a comfortable use for this pillow.

The display picture is a complete lie, that or they used a little person for the shoot. This pillow is SMALL.

Now I have to wait 48hrs for the seller to approve my return request, on top of that there is a 20% restocking fee. So even though I am not happy with this pillow, they still make a profit. What an awesome scam, they win and I lose.

This is an interesting design for a pillow, but it's way too squishy to provide any real support for a reading position. Also, it doesn't really come with a cover unless you want to pull out all the stuffing and restuff it every time.

This pillow is comfortable, but it is surprising how often the zipper ends up in the "wrong" place when you shift position.

Nice pillow to use when I need to be on a incline position or sitting up. Its nice it can adjust in the different positions to achieve what I need. Nice quality. I do not like it as a regular sleeping pillow.

I bought this or a similar product from golden violin. Like one of the other reviewers, I was trying to replace a previous pillow. Not at all the same quality. I returned it to golden violin with the comment that it is about $6 worth of batting and not even a pillow case included. I came to Amazon hoping to find a replacement. I nursed my son with the original Boppy for a year. Yes, it is wonderful and everything the other reviewers said. However, my issue is that it begins to "bend" in the middle from use. Really, this is fine...I mean a year of nursing is going to be hard on any pillow. But my main complaint is that the covers they make for these things are NOT waterproof (or spit-up proof). What is the point of a cover? I had to wrap my entire Boppy in saran wrap, then put the cover on to get any protection nd prevent smelly stains. just my two cents.

I was thrilled to receive this at my baby shower but when the baby arrived and it was time to start using it, I was a bit let-down. I am tall and had to hunch over to nurseafter a short while this became extremely hard on my back. I had a C-section with my daughter and this pillow put more strain on my back and abdomen than I could take. My husband and I still use it, but we have to stuff pillows underneath it to prop up the sides. Also, the cover I wanted cost the same as the pillow25.00! I hate when companies exploit their customers by charging ridiculous sums of money for pretty basic goods. I know by now though that peopleincluding my selfwill spend any amount of money on anything having to do with babies.

The Boppy is NOT the ideal pillow for nursing, but it is good for letting my baby lie on to rest/sleep and as a support pillow for burping my baby in a sitting position. For a good nursing pillow, get "My Brest Friend." I got the Boppy first, and it is too soft to support my baby for nursing. It also constantly slips away from me, and my baby tends to slip between me and the Boppy. For these reasons, my back felt strained when I used the Boppy for nursing. Then, I bought "My Brest Friend" and it worked great -all the problems that I just mentioned were solved -it's firm and supportive, and it also "locks" around my waist so it won't slip. I used a boppy when I nursed my son. It propped him up to just the right height. Before I got it, I had tried to prop him up with pillows on my lap, desperately attempting to get him into a comfortable position. The Boppy is the perfect size to comfortably nurse. I've used these pillows for a little over a month and they are excellent. I've tried other far more expensive brands but I find them to be too high to be comfortable for my neck and shoulders. These are just the right height for me to sleep on my side or back without causing any discomfort when I wake. They are rather soft, they can't really be called firm but they do retain their structure rather than going flat.

I'm using them on a king size bed and they seem to fit it just fine. They would most likely be too large for a double bed but would still work for a queen. The only downside is the smell right out of the box; however, I threw a fabric softener sheet in the pillowcase and the odor went away within a couple days.

I rate these as a two because I have used these pillow for more than 20 years and cannot get these where i usually order them.They last 10 years on an average. These are the ones the company cannot get rid of because they are very stiff and hard. If you look on this brands main web site, you will see that they come soft medium and hard which on amazon does not state.These are like sleeping on a towel roll under your head, so if you like hard pillows be my guest.I prefer soft and will order from main web site instead of saving money on amazon. lesson to be learned.

This pillow was the perfect shape for me but all the air would leak out after about 20 minutes. I examined the bladder for pinholes or leaking seams but found none. I suspect the the fill tube is poorly designed and the plug will not hold the air. As another reviewer had a similar problem I would heve to recommend not purchasing this item and save yourself the return postage.

Normally I don't review anything I purchase because I'm a bit lazy. I'm so extremely satisfied with this memory foam mattress I just had to write this time. I didn't sleep well before. Toss and turn all night, lower back would hurt. I would be awake all day but so tired all the time. I weigh about 250 pounds. I thought I had sleep apnea. I picked this one based on previous reviews and price. It arrived wrapped in a tarp and plastic, all rolled up. Opened it up and let it lay around for a day or so. It expanded to it's full height. There is a "new car" glue smell to it. It does go away. Keep the room well ventilated to speed up that process. Now the reason I'm reviewing this. I have never slept so well in my entire life. The first night I slept soundly and straight through the night. When I first got out of bed I winced in anticipation of back pain but was surprised I had none at all. I've been full of energy all day and consistently sleep straight through the night. The mattress supports my weight very well. I sink in about 2 or 3 inches after a few minutes. I really have no complaints at all. Just get one you won't be sorry.

***UPDATE***

Just going over my review. Thought I would give a year later update. I have also experienced some of the issues others have with the mattress. It seems that the top layer is misaligned now. I haven't tried to fix it. Again, somewhat lazy. The sheet corner does come up a lot but that's more my fault since the one I have seemed too small to begin with anyway. Which reminds me I need to wash that thing. The middle part where I spend most of my time does compress more quickly than the rest of the mattress. It only seems to effect the first layer and hasn't increased. I've since broken in the sides a bit so it's all a little more even. It really isn't an issue for me but for awhile there I had to roll UP and out of bed. For what I paid I'm still impressed with what I have and I still sleep great. So heads up on the longevity. I'm not a stickler for perfection as long as I get my sleep.

I purchased this mattress mostly based on prior experience. I had purchased a memory foam mattress from Amazon about 4 years ago and it was perfect and comfortable. I thought I was buying the same item based on price and description. I bought this mattress about 6 months ago when I moved. It's not the same mattress! As others noted it never expanded to the full 10 inches (mine went to about 9 which is OK) but the lower corners (especially 2) of the lower-firm-foam didn't fill out much the corners are only about 4 or 5 inches thick. This does not affect sleeping comfort and actually makes it easier to put the fitted sheets on. At $300 vs. $1200+ for local priced twin memory foam I suppose one can't complaint too much but I would not have accepted such a defect if I didn't have to send it back and that's not easy from Alaska. After sleeping on the mattress for 6 months it is very comfortable and still no "dips" in my usual sleeping position but those corners still bother me every time I change the sheets! Considering the price I would still buy my next memory foam mattress from Amazon but would not buy this brand.

I love these pillows. Bought two to start and then bought two more. I like them because they are soft enough to be comfortable, yet hard enough that you still feel the texture or contour points of the pillows when you are laying on top of them. That is the "point" right?? Just right.

I should have listened to other reviewers. This pillow has no give at all. So when it says it's four inches high, that's where your head will be. It is what it says it is, but I don't see how this is good for people with neck problems. I bought it hoping to replace a very similar pillow I bought years ago at a medical store. My old one--also eggcrate foam--is the same height but soft enough that your spine/neck stays straight when laying down.This pillow is unusable for me.

Better Sleep Pillow - A Multi Position Pillow for Side Sleepers, Stomach Sleepers, Back Sleepers

I have purchased this product. It has one major flaw for a pillow. It smells like a tank of gasoline and even after a month of airing the pillow the smell does not go away. It is impossible to sleep in the same room as the pillow, much less with your nose right next to it. It has also few minor problems like it is shaped for women with thin long arms, otherwise you cannot fit them into the holes. But it is also too high, so women would probably break their neck trying to sleep on this pillow and too firm to adjust. I really tried hard to find a comfortable position to sleep on this pillow, but I found none. (I'm about 5"11" and 190 pound male.) Also the company claims they will not refund this item if you return it later than 14 days after purchase, but when I did, I got my full purchase price refunded by Amazon.

To sum it up, I could not imagine how to design a pillow that would be any worse fit for sleeping on, unless you just cut out a piece of asphalt road and put a cussion on it.

Also, be aware that most of the reviews on the internet are actually advertising sites put up by the company trying to sell this pillow and are fake, which I didn't realize until I bought it.

The chemical smell hit me in the face when I opened the package. I let the pillow air out for a week before using it, but the smell was still strong. So I covered the pillow with a pillowcase, then put another thin pillow over it, but woke up a few hours later with a headache because of the awful odor. The shape of the pillow does not allow the arm or hand under the edge or middle as advertised because the channels are too small.

This pillow is too hard and too high if you sleep flat on your stomach like I do. It's great for side sleepers who like to extend their arms over their head. It does have an industrial (fuel like) odor and the velour cover gets very hot against your skin. BUT, on the possitive side, the company has wonderful customer service with very quick shipping. I had to return mine and I received a full refund minus the shipping back which was over $9 since the pillow weighs more then 2.5 pounds.

If you're a full grown man, or your arms are greater than 6" in circumference--this is not the pillow for you. I'm sure it will work as intended for small children, but not for an adult.

I purchased the better sleep pillow back in November from the company because I was looking for a pillow that would help me sleep better. This pillow was not the one. In fact I slept worse. For one thing the pillow is too hard and high. You wake up with neck pains. I thought there was something wrong with me, so I had my children try out the pillow. They even said it was the worst pillow to sleep on. It shouild be taken out of the market if you ask my opinion. I don't know who would benifit from this pillow, but It wasn't my family. I can't even get my money back because it was over the 30 days. I waited because I wanted to give the pillow a chance to work, but my sleep got worse. I hope this review is helpful for people who are trying to find a pillow that will help them sleep better. Go to Mypillow.com. It might be a better alternative.
